Once done, I walked outside, leaned against a wall and waited.

And waited… :rolleyes1

…and waited… :confused3

…and waited… :worried:

Oh no:eek:

Nothing! She was nowhere to be seen!

:scared1:

I was about to barge into the bathroom and start screaming her name when she nonchalantly sauntered out, and in the correct direction of our table.

Thank goodness:goodvibes A little tip for you. I had a silicone bracelet made for Jimmy. It says if lost call and has mine and Jim's cell phone numbers on it. We only use it at WDW, but it gives a piece of mind, KWIM? It cost $4.95 and worth every penny!

The kids were in the mood to swim then hang around the hotel room and “veg”. By “veg”, I mean watch “Stacy” for another couple hours. :sad2:

You get to watch Stacy at an off-stie hotel:confused3

Oh wow Buzz. Nothing worse than the feeling of a lost child. You couldn't even pour yourself a drink after that! It happened once with Nova. she was playing a joke, and standing directly behind me ! Everytime I turned around she stuck right on my tail. She was only 3 at the time. What a frenzy I was in.

Thanks for the tip!

Yes, Stacy is on ALL of the Orlando hotels including the Hampton Inn just north of the airport and 25 minutes from Disney World. No joke either!

A couple minutes later, my heart was back to normal. The perspiration had subsided to an almost normal level, and I managed to quit shaking & panting.
Ah, sorry Buzz. Hate to say this, but you will get the same reaction when she becomes a teenager and starts dating boys.

I didn't know off-site have a channel that has Stacy?

I've never felt that sinking feeling before and hopefully never will again. :sad2:

That's a funny story. :rotfl2:

The lost child thing SUCKS. Tyler got lost in wal mart when he was 2ys old...I thought he was with Rob and Rob thought he was with me:scared1:...turns out he was with the customer service lady.:rotfl: I can't even imagine what that would be like at WDW so we got tottoos!...and have a daily lecture about the importance of staying with Mommy and Daddy when we are there.:thumbsup2 I am very glad that LG wasn't lost.:goodvibes

I could imagine nothing worse than being grilled by Nancy Grace.....oh wait, I can.....Being grilled by Nancy Grace and I'm naked.....Oh wait, worse....Being grilled by Nancy Grace and she's naked.....

The effort it takes to get to the Magic Kingdom from the parking lot makes staying onsite worth it.

We lost DD6 in Toontown in January 2007. We made the mad dash from the Toontown rope drop to the County Bounty so that we could meet some princesses. When we parked the stroller outside, we were all together, but by the time we got in line for the princesses, Lauren was no where to be found! Eric stepped out of line to look for her and all of a sudden, there she was with a CM looking for us. At least she knew what to do when she couldn't find us. She immediately went to someone in a WDW uniform and told them. I was so proud :lovestruc and also mad  at her. Hopefully she'll never do that again!

I had absolutely no idea Loud Girl was "lost." Trey & I were finishing our lunch and sat there waiting forever. They finally came out and Buzz said it was time to go. As we were walking out of the restaurant, he said, "Did you know there's a 2nd exit by the bathroom? It goes out the back." Uh, no I didn't. Scary feeling for Buzz. I was totally oblivious, thank goodness.

I did lose the kids at times though. I'm a very over protective parent but sometimes those rascals get away from me. Three times I lost Loud Girl. Once in Walmart-she ran off to the game room. I was looking at something on a shelf and saw her run off out of the corner of my eye. I put down was I was looking at but by then she was gone. I was about to become hysterical, when the thought popped into my head, "She's in the Game Room." And she was.

Another time at the grocery store, I -You know, I have to interrupt this because whenever any parent loses their kids and they say, "It was only a few seconds." Well, it really is-those kids can be fast. I handed the clerk my check and looked down to put my checkbook in my purse and Loud Girl was gone. She was shorter than the counters so I couldn't tell which way she went and I was worried she ran out into the parking lot. I was yelling her name and a boxboy said, "She's over in the bakery." She was looking at Easter cookies.

One time I lost her at the house-she fell asleep in her playhouse and I couldn't find her. That was scary too.

Trey stays practically right under my feet at all times. Like Nova did to her mom, he stands behind me, but he doesn't move when I do so half the time, I'm tripping over him. One time, we were at my parents' house. My grandma lived 2 houses down and he adored her. I let Trey go play in the yard-my mom said the gates were locked-he couldn't get out, but they've got a pond and a pool so I keep a watchful eye on him. I remember talking to my dad briefly and then I went to check on Trey when the phone rang. It was my grandma. She wondered if we were missing anyone. My mom had locked their gates, but not the garage door and he zipped out and went to visit Granny. They live right by the river and he loves water. That could've been a catastrophe. I didn't tell Buzz that until a few months ago-he would've flipped his lid.

Guitar Hero rocks-I keep looking for it in our stores, but they don't have it for the Wii-only PS2 and PS3 and the PC.

DM-I love your picture!!

I love Nancy Grace, but would hate to be on the receiving end of her wrath-she's one tough cookie.

How scary!! :scared1:

My kids like to run off, to the point that we seriously considered child-leashes. We bought one, and the kids gota lot better about staying with us, because they do NOT want to be leashed.

THis week, DS and DD seemed to think it was a game to see whether or not they could quickly change pools without mommy and daddy noticing! NOT a fun game form me! Pool time out ensued after DD got away from me and hid behind the pool bar. I thought dh was watching her and I was watching DSm he thought the opposite. I was scared she was drowning somewhere in her swim vest, especially when she didn't answer my screams. When we found her, I was TICKED! It was only about a minute but it scared me to death.

Glad it was just "number two". :rolleyes1

OMG, at the thought of losing LG in the parks

Glad it all turned out well!

Janet, can you PM the info on where/how you get these, TIA

Thanks for the tip!

HMM, that Stacey gets around,huh:rolleyes1

Missing children are the worst!! We lost our ds when he was 4 next to the matterhorn in disneyland. Scared the crap out of me.

Love the Nancy Grace refrence.....................Jordy, do you have a thing for her?:confused3

Ah ha! There's the update! :dance3:

You made me almost call my mother to apologize for the multiple times I've managed to suddenly disappear. I'm almost certain that I gave her (and my father) multiple heart attacks any time we went anywhere. :scared1: It's sad, but I can recall the folks at the customer service desk at K-mart knowing me by name. They were always paging me to the front and the greeter always reminded me to stay with my parents when we came in. My mom has always said that she was never more thankful for a tall daughter than when I finally got up around the 5'8 mark at 10. She could always find me then and I couldn't just hide in the clothing rack like I liked to do.

Naturally, she cursed me with the mother's curse so I'm probably damned to having children just like me. You know that 'I hope you have children just like you' sigh of exasperation. :headache:

Ah well, I'll just know never to pack my 3 year old child a lunch and pretend to send them off to school on a cool winter's day without a jacket. I grew up in Oklahoma and the weather there is much like Rockin' Roller Coaster inverted. You know how RRC goes 0-60 in 2.5 seconds? Well, OK weather can go 60 to 0 in about that time. (Oh yeah, look at me pull in WDW. :dance3:) Well, I decided that precise day to walk 2 miles to an elementary school that my dad and I always passed on the way to day care. The police picked me up when I was about halfway home after a frantic call from my mother.

Personally, I thought it was great. School was closed for winter break and that stunk but I did get a great teddy bear from the really nice police man. Oh, and my packed lunch was really good. Plus, I got to turn on the lights and siren while we made the trip back home. :rotfl2:

I don't even recall either of my parents being all that angry with me.

Buzz ~ Do you really listen to Metallica, I mean a lot? Rob likes them. I just like a couple of songs. Hmm ... wonder if they've ever been to Disney World. just keeping it on topic. ;)

I've seen them in concert... :rolleyes1

There are a lot of little tricks you can use when you have young kids (or handicapped children). The best one is to put your cell phone number on a piece of tape and stick it to the shirt under their left arm.

::yes:: We used self-printed return address labels with our cell phone #'s stuck to the back neck of their shirts.

Now, If only we’d remember to do this. :sad2:

::yes:: again. I think I remembered that we needed them at least 2 of our 5 days only AFTER we'd entered the parks. :sad2:

~LG just likes going to the bathroom. :confused3

I have one of these, too. ;)

~Once done, I walked outside, leaned against a wall and waited.

And waited… :rolleyes1

…and waited… :confused3

…and waited… :worried:

Oh, dear.

The perspiration on my brow increased at a steady rate as I frantically searched around the restaurant all the while keeping one eye on the women’s room door, and the other on my very suspicious & protective wife. So far, she suspected nothing.

I was about to barge into the bathroom and start screaming her name when she nonchalantly sauntered out, and in the correct direction of our table.

Thank goodness.

Next Up: Terrified by Clowns

"Can't sleep - clown will eat me."

Anyone? :confused3

Glad it all turned out well. Linnie, lots of  to you for the lost kiddos. One of mine, Woody, LOVES to play in clothing racks. He's short. It's not good. :headache:

:scared1: My heart sank as I read your post. Just realizing that feeling makes me:sick:
Thank God LG is OK.
Moments like that make you step back and appreciate what you have.
Worst feeling I have had in this category is when my friend lost her son. We were at a Christmas parade at night and her son took off in the crowd without us seeing. We searched for 15 minutes. Screaming at the top of our lungs. People around us started helping. We found him but I will never forget that feeling.

I am very glad that LG wasn't lost.:goodvibes

Yeah. She gud.

Ah, sorry Buzz. Hate to say this, but you will get the same reaction when she becomes a teenager and starts dating boys.

I didn't know off-site have a channel that has Stacy?

Yup. ::yes:: I'm chalk full of useless info. :thumbsup2

I'm not looking forward to LG becoming a teenager. :sad2:

The effort it takes to get to the Magic Kingdom from the parking lot makes staying onsite worth it.

I agree J. But! 5 extra days of WDW off-site is still better than being at home! This was the one and only time on this trip that we went to MK. We waited until we were onsite for the other two trips. ::yes::

Awww... she's already Disney-wise. I'll bet Eric was completely calm. I was a wreck and all that happened was she was in the can for a long time. :sad2:

My kids like to run off, to the point that we seriously considered child-leashes. We bought one, and the kids gota lot better about staying with us, because they do NOT want to be leashed.

Can't imagine why.. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

HMM, that Stacey gets around,huh:rolleyes1

Oh yes, she's a dirty pirate hooker. pirate:

Love the Nancy Grace refrence.....................Jordy, do you have a thing for her?:confused3

::yes:: He sent me a PM asking if I had any nude photos. :rolleyes1

You made me almost call my mother to apologize for the multiple times I've managed to suddenly disappear. I'm almost certain that I gave her (and my father) multiple heart attacks any time we went anywhere. :scared1:

I was more afraid of LtP then actually losing LG. I knew the CM's would have her but I didn't want to put up with the wrath I knew I'd face.

"Can't sleep - clown will eat me."

Anyone?

Simpson's when Homer made the Clown-Bed. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hooboy. :sad2: That's scary!

I’ve been gone from the dis for a couple of years now (other than a little peek now and then) I worked hard to break my addiction to the boards.

I am planning a trip for next year so I've been around a little bit, nothing hard core just checking a few things here and there. I’ve been able to keep my distance so far.

Tonight I came in for a quick look-see...maybe read a little trippie...just to pass the time popcorn:: and of all the trip reports to pick, I had to pick this one. :headache: I'm hooked, I can't quit reading. I'm only up to page 16 but had to let you know that you've ruined me...

I have a day off of school tomorrow and planned on catching up on the laundry, doing some grocery shopping, giving the dog a bath, taking down the Christmas tree...but nooooo...I'll be reading this @#$%^ trip report! My husband will have to keep wearing his dirty skivvies, the kids will have to eat cream cheese and ketchup for dinner as that's all that's left in the fridge, I'll have to put the dog on the porch because he smells so bad and we'll be hiding Easter eggs under the Christmas tree...

because now that I've committed to reading a 216 page trip report and posting to it it’s all over...I’ll be dis-addicted again by the time it’s over but I can’t help myself…crap:sad2:

Thanks alot
