Hiya gals! I'm back....Whew...what a trip! We had a great time....

I texted Cat - but the monistat worked FAB in the parks all day long! it was pretty hot too...but not too humid...so I don't know about summer....

& the good news is it also worked on the thighs!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Doing laundry all day today..hopefully I can catch up soon....

I would imagine if we've all been using it on our eye lids, it would be safe on your lips.... dont you think?

The Moroccan Oil - They gave out tons and tons of mini samples - perfect for traveling, but I also bought the full size bottle, a styling cream, an overnight repair - all of which came with 2 mini's for $40. Im super happy with it. Very nice stuff.

I bought a RUSK set that's all in the blue/purple "brightening" line. Gets rid of yellow and brass in blonde hair - that was $10, for S&C, Spray Shine and Hairspray.

I bought 2 bottles of CHI Tone & Shine (it's new) Again, with the color conditioner. I hate brassy blonde. I'm a big fan of platinum. :lovestruc

Ummm - I got a lipgloss and an eye shadow from TiGi. We actually have changed our 'plan off attack' for next year. We always get to the TiGi booth in the later afternoon, and they run out of stuff. Argh.

I bought some Medusa makeup - those were 6 for $22. :cloud9:

Ummm.... what else - I got some OPI polish. 2 colors are so similar, I dont know what I was thinking. Strawberry Margarita and Elephantastic Pink are the two I did that with. Doh. :headache:

I got a new straightener - CHI for $60. Then I had some sort of DOH moment again, and bought a Mini Chi - for $60, too.... for all the traveling I do, apparently. I have no idea why I bought that thing. It was just so cute. :confused3

OH - I got a S&C set of the S Factor by TiGi, as well as the guy's line S&C. Those were $5 each.

I got Back To Basics Pomegranate S&C for $15 - the big ol' liter ones.

I think I told you I saw Nick Arrogo and Kim Vo, right?

I can't think - I can tell you this - I spent $400, so I got a lot of crap.

ANd I type this out from Strawberry Margarita'd nails. :)

MO has an overnight repair?????Damn I did not know that. I will have to go look itup. Catherine Rose.... I swear each time I read your posts it costs me money:rotfl:

Nice haul. BTW what is Medusa ? I have not heard of that brand. Did I mention I was going to do a two month moritorium on buying make up....well if I am not mistaken I said it on April 1, so I am considering it an April Fool's joke.

I don't know, when you put it on your eyes, you're not not consuming it. I'd check the box and see if it says anything about being harmful or fatal if swallowed! If not, you're probably good to go.

I'm heading out to Ulta and/or Sephora today and/or tomorrow :lmao: and I'm in the market for a new spring nailcolor. Strawberry margarita sounds yummy, I'll have to check that out! Now if I could just get my nail to grow out a bit. No, that wasn't a typo - it's just the nail on the pointer finger of my right hand that I cannot get to grow at all. it keeps breaking off and I have no idea why. All the others are growing out nicely, but I have to keep cutting them back to match my problem nail. I don't like to wear my nails that long anymore, just a bit past the end of my finger, so this really should not be the problem that it is. I can't figure it out! :confused3

OMG I just broke both of my pointers today and they are broken really really low so I cannot even file them. I was so bummed.

I got Jupiter and Lemonade - and both are niiiiiice! Lemonade is no where near as yellow as it appears. It's a gorgeous creamy gold shade. Yum!

It was like being a kid in a candy store with all those colors. SOOOO overwhelming! Just gorgeous shades. I had them all over my hand, up my arm.... I just couldnt decide!!!

I bought the contour brush and the smudge brush:

http://www.medusasmakeup.com/brushes.htm

SO NICE! I think I'll end up getting more of these. Reallllly nice brushes... and hot pink! :thumbsup2

I should have just bought them there, though.... they had all of them for $22. :sad2:

I had major "Why didnt I buy that?!?!" regrets the day after. :headache::laughing:

Oh if I had a nickle for every time I did that! I have Strawberry Margarita. I also have "I'm India the Mood for Love" and "Your Such a Kabuki Queen" Let's just say I am set for bright pink nail polish. I bought two eyeshadows the other day that looked completely different in the pan, and you can NOT tell them apart on my skin. :confused3 I've got at least four other examples I could give you.

MPA, do you know if I can get this from my plastic surgeon, or do I have to go to an eye doctor for it? I don't even have an eye doctor and I'd much rather get it from my plastic surgeon if I can since I'll be going in to see him in a few weeks anyway.

The plastic surgeon I've been working for writes out prescriptions. He has little ads for it in his office too. Give your DR a call and see if he could write you a script.

I got my beautycrunch order yesterday! The Stila eyewash in "Kitten" is so beautiful! The applicator was different though. I had to get used to it. But again, now I have two taupe shimmery eyeshadows now. The lip injection is sitting on my dresser. I'm scared to try it. :scared: But I like the wrinkle injection and of course I will use the lash injection.

AND I got my brushes today. I got a MAC 116 brush for blush. It put on my highly pigmented NARS "Outlaw" blush on just perfect. I also got a Bobbi Brown "Face Blender Brush" today that I haven't tried it (the package came after I was already at the Dr's office). I'm still waiting for a couple brushes on backorder. A Mac #187 (the skunk brush), and another Bobbi Brown brush. The BB brushes are just gorgeous! I adore the white handle!

Oh, and guess what else I got in my package? I got the Mac "Oyster Girl" lipglass that CR recommended five hundred posts ago. It's exactly what I was looking for in that Too Faced gloss. Thing is, the Girls Dig Pearls gloss has really grown on me too. It changes in different light.:lovestruc It's kind of cool.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

And YAY! on Oyster Girl working for you! WOO HOO! :yay:

All right, ladies- this is a bit OT, but there is another product I have discovered that is great...

Smooth Away hair removal pads (the ones on the infomercials)!!! DH works for Bed, Bath & Beyond, and they carry them at the stores. I told him I've been wanting to try them- I have fuzzy upper lip issues- so he brought a package home.

OMG- they totally work!! Basically, it is like rubbing EXTREMELY fine-grade sandpaper on your skin. It just magically buffs the hair off!! I did both lower legs in about 2 minutes- they are silky smooth, and the pad gently exfoliates your skin at the same time. The upper lip is oh, so silky smooth, and TOTALLY HAIR FREE!!!!!

Try them out- I was super-skeptical, after trying just about every hair removal method out there to get rid of my lady-'stache. Every new and exciting product ended up either irritating my skin, painfully ripping hairs out by the roots (I'm too wimpy for waxing...), or just not working well. The Smooth Away does what it says- gets rid of the hair quickly AND painlessly!

WOO HOO!!

cR,

Of course, I will be driven till I find the MO overnight repair. I could find only a mention of it on their website and no place to get it on line. I will go to the salon tomorrow I need to get a clarifying shampoo because I m coloring my hair on Sunday and I have to clarify it tomorrow so I will look for the overnight repair. I HOPE they have it. How does it work. Do you put it on the night before and then wash it out the next day?

Another question when you said they had the Medusa Brushes for 22 for all of them did you mean 22 each or 22 for the set. I am guessing 22 each. Well I guess my resolve to not buy make up for two months did not last long.:rotfl:

So do you need to be a professional to go to the beauty shows or do you just pay the fee which I know is pretty steep. I always seem to be in Orlando when they have the one at the Orange County Convention Center and I think it would be better than even going to the Magic Kingdom.

Don't know yet- I just got it today. I will report back and let you know- I would think it will need to be done prob. as often as Nair or shaving. The hair seems to be buffed off at skin level. Hope it won't grow in thick- I was shaving (yuck, I know, but that was what worked best), so if it doesn't grow in thicker than that, I'll be happy.

Do you think it will cause chaffing if you use it a lot? Then again...I know something that is great to prevent chaffing.....MONOSTAT :rotfl:

BTW trying monstat on my lips today...if you guys don't hear from me assume it was not for human consumption.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The whole set of all of them - $22. I'm slapping myself silly about it. :sad2:

The repair stuff - it's supposed to be 5-10 minutes. I did the evening with it on, with a towel on my head (for heat) and then slept with it in. I *just* rinsed it out like 15 minutes ago. So far - feels wonderful. Ill let you know what it's like after I dry it.

So do you need to be a professional to go to the beauty shows or do you just pay the fee which I know is pretty steep. I always seem to be in Orlando when they have the one at the Orange County Convention Center and I think it would be better than even going to the Magic Kingdom.

You go Oct/Nov - right? I remember going that time of year and that always being there, too. You have to be a professional (or be with someone who is, to get a ticket) It's possible your stylist could get you a ticket.

Let me look into that for you. :rolleyes1

I wonder why they changed it. It's the same weekend as Gay Days.... or should I even ask that? :lmao: Perhaps that's why they changed it. Makes it convenient for all.

Wow! Some of those colors on Medusa's site are really uhhh... bright! My husband would faint if wore some of those colors. I can just imagine him asking me if I was trying out for a job as a circus clown!

I love those Medusa brushes! Good prices too! Can you buy them anyplace, or do you have to get them online?

And I have been slathering my Monistat ALL over my face, including my lips since I started using it last week. I am still here! Lips and face look great!:cutie:

Looks like it's June, now.... used to be OCT/NOV. :confused3

http://www.premiereshows.com/shows/orl/index.asp

NO I go in July August and it was therefor the past few years and as we would drive by I would literally look at all the people going in and out and dream about going! LOL.

So first, I did not use the monostat on my lips today, I double checked and it said to call poison control if ingested so I figured that my husband would kill me if I had to have my stomach pumped and then tell them what it was I had "accidentally" ingested and why. YOu all know the reputation monstat has no one wants to listen when you tell them it is the POWDER GEL NOT the infection fighter! :rotfl:

So I went to a couple of stores today that had MO and none of them had the overnight treatment. In fact one store was so proud that they had the MO at all they had just gotten it in and had just recently heard of it. They were kind of bummed they did not know of the replenishment treatment. Anyway they were selling the large bottle for 43.00! it is only 27 on Cosmetic Magic! I will wait it out but I will call cosmetic magic and ask them to get it in.

CR how many times a week are you supposed to use it?

You guys will be proud of me...I walked by the Company Store and did not go in. This is in keeping with my no buy make up for the next two months( I did not say I would not buy hair care products) AND more importantly my DH was with me and therefore I had to ACT like I was keeping my promise.

I do actually like the Stila shadows better than the MAC now that I have had a long enough time to compare them.

ETA: CR what the heck were you thinking....22 for the whole set of brushes???? I would have had at least two or them. I like to have a couple of sets of the same. Once I use them I put them in an empty cup and then wash them once all three sets are dirty(full wash with baby shampoo I spray them each time I use them now)
