I went and got the Monistat box- the listed ingredients:

ACTIVE INGREDIENT: dimethicone 1.2%

INGREDIENTS: dimethicone 1.2% (silicone), cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, silica, tocopheryl acetate, trisiloxane.

I will give my first day review of the Monistat Powder-gel:

Put it on a clean dry face at 10am. Squeezed out a very small amount (about 1/2 a pea sized dab) onto fingers- applied to face in a very thin layer. Completely colorless, felt very smooth and silky. Put mineral MU on- went on well, looked great. Pores practically disappeared.

Fast-forward to 10pm- makeup still looks pretty good (and I watched 2 sad movies, so had tears coursing down my face several times today!). A little oily shine on my nose, but my MU hasn't come off. Face still feels smooth. Will make sure to cleanse very well- there seem to be quite a few reviewers that report breakouts from using (don't know if it the particular product, or all silicone-based primers). Read reviews on www.makeupalley.com - product gets a score of 4 out of 5.

Will continue to use for another week or so, and continue to report on how it is doing.

Wow! Just found this thread! My other passion in life other than Mickey!!! I just finished shopping at Sephora online(the mother ship), I soooo wish there was one closer to me than the 2 hour drive that I would have to make. I ordered some sephora lip gloss pencils, BE foundation, fresh clay treatment and sephora color play palette. I figure $22 for the play palette wasn't too bad with all the colors that are included, even if I don't like it, I'll give it to dd to play with. I've been out of the BE foundation for a while. I was trying out some Rimmel liquid foundation. I love the rimmel and you can't beat the price.

While I was online ordering from sephora I was watching qvc. They had Prescriptives false lashes mascara. Anyone tried that? The girl they tried it on had pretty long eyelashes already, but the power of tv persuasion almost drew me in. I think I'm going to have to visit the prescriptives counter and see if they have a sample.

With the talk about the stila smudge pots, I should've bought it when I saw them at TJ maxx! I've been seeing a lot of stila stuff there lately. I might head over there tomorrow to see if they have anymore.

Update on how this went: So I was trying to get to my purse when the neighbors called and asked us to come over for a drink, they just bought a new boat. DH, always ready for a cold one, says lets go. It was not a good moment to say, wait! The smudge pots just came back into stock on beauty crunch and I need to jump on this before they go back out of stock!

Saturday I had too many places to go, I never turned on the computer until now. Both kits I wanted, the smudge pots and a Too Faced kit called decade of beauty or something, both back on out of stock status. I will continue to check back until they go back in stock!

excellent! it is a lot cheaper than photo finish etc. I got the root lifter .....love it.


Check out gossmakeupartist on Youtube. He is really good and he has lots of tutorials. He does do the demonstration on himself but he is really good. I was using the wrong brush for the crease of my eye and I tried his technique to day and it worked. Also does anyone know where to get FIX IT PLUS? I looked on Sephora and could not find it but on two of the make up tutorials they mention about using it. Of course you KNOW I want to get it now.

Have you noticed any change in the formula that has made it very dry & chalky?
Not only did they get rid of my favorite color AGAIN the formula is really changing.

What are you favorite lip liners?
Just ordered 3 new from Sephora to try...will report when they show up this week.

Did you use my link? Go to You Tube do not do the search a the top but do it as a search within You Tube....He has 120 videos and they are alll really pretty good step by step. He uses a lot of Mac but other stuff too.

I noticed under his video there is a website for discount Mac Brushes that pops up. I bet they have a good deal on a roll tcase I wonder what the brushes are like but as far as the case is concerned I am betting it would do okay. I mean what could they do to a case? I have a hard case but would like a softer one for traveling.

BTW if anyone sees the Stila Mega Make up set on BC please let me know. I really want it badly and I googled it and found lots of places still have it ....for 70.00....it is only 25 on BC.

I have GOT to try the outlet in Orlando this summer. I cannot believe I missed it. You are talking about the outlet mall with Ralph Lauren etc in it.

My absolute favorite? Is the 99 cent NYC brand - number 956 (I think) maybe it's 456. It's just a neutral 'lip like' color. It's my absolute favorite.

Okay so I tried the monostat today and all I can say is I love it. It is now 530 I have had my make up on approx. 12 hours and it is still fresh looking.I am so glad I found this. I wrote to BC to see if they willl be getting anymore Stila Mega sets I hope they wrote back.

Thanks for the scoop! I'm going to have to try this! My face melts off quickly - especially on humid days. The reviews on MUA say the CVS brand one is good too.

Just read the ingredients if they are the same go for it...I bet the cvs is even cheaper. I do not know how it will be in hot weather. I got mine at WalMart but they did not have a store brand. My pores were pretty nonexistent too. What is the worse that can happen...you use the tube in summer to preven chafing. I wonder how it works if you put it on the back of your heel to keep it from rubbing against your shoe. I think I will try it.

Maybe we can do a 1001 uses for Monostat just like they have 1001 uses for duct tape.
