e card question .....does anyone know if you can use an e card in the store or is it meant for on line use only?

Does anyone have both Color to Diner For and I'm Not Really A Waitress? They seemed very similar in the bottles last night, and I'm wondering how different they look 'on.'

Okay so I got my 3 sephora GC's worth 300 with my Discover rebate and paid 255 THEN I go to Sephora and 125 worth of make up for out of pocket cost 5.25 of which I will get 52c back b/c I went through Discover.

THEN and here is the big deal. (have to shop in 100 increments b/c you cannot spend more than one gc on Sephora at a time) I go back and buy the Clairsonic that is usually 350 but special value at 299 with 20% off and 100 GC for 79.00 THEN I go through Discover and get another 8.00 off ....NET COST TO ME 71.00 for the 350.00 Clairisonic! ONLY thing I like better than make up is getting for a bargain!!

I would have gotten the 199. clairisonic which was 119.00 MIA for 19.00!! but of course they were out.

I have one more GC but I have to wait a while b/c I can only use my Discover card at Sephora every 15 minutes or it will not go through!

HONESTLY PEOPLE,

If you have Discover rebate money and you buy GC's you can really clean up!

BTW I HOPE this is better than the OLAY and it does not make my skin break out. THAT would be.......in a word sad:guilty:

BTW I bought some of the Ready To Wear makeup from HSN it is created by the make up artist who created the MAC pro line. I got the gel liners 3 for 19.99 and the lip stain with the gloss for another great price. It is made in Italy so HOPEFULLY it will be pretty good. BUT and I really pat myself on the back for this I did NOT repeat did NOT buy any shadow.

Not exactly a make up question, but I thought some of you ladies may know... I wore acrylic nails for many year, until a little over 1 year ago I became allergic to something with them, itching got worse after each fill. I haven't worn them for over a year. Now I'm going on a cruise and would love to have "nails" again. Anyone know of a type that would use different chemicals?
The shop I went to was one of the Vietnamese places, the techs acted like I was the only one to ever become allergic and were no help.

I appreciate any and all suggestions.

Thanks,
JoAnn

How worth it is the jump in price from the Olay cleanser to the Clarisonic? I have pretty oily skin and am looking into one one these.

I wore acrylics years ago and am still paying for it. BUT LUCKY FOR YOU that short nails are now in and long nails are out. I would suggest getting just a manicure and bring your own polish (I use Butter London supposed to be better chemically ).

I'll check it out. My nails have always been very soft and peal. I was taking good care of them and they actually looked pretty nice. I never wore my acrylics long either) However, the last month I've been involved in closing my business. I had a lot of manual labor I had to do :( . Now my hands and nails are a wreck. I'm leaving on a cruise in 18 days and would like them to look nicer than they do. Maybe I'll schedule an appointment for a manicure now and another just before we leave. Thanks!

Sorry for the yelling, but I need some help from the experts! I am 48, peri-menopausal, and my face is like an oil slick! Never was before, always tended to be on the dry side, until about a year ago. I wear Neutrogena Skin Clearing liquid makeup and powder. I look fine when I first put it on, but in about 4 hours, I can touch my hand to my forehead and just feel the greasies starting! (By the way, it's the typical T zone oiliness, on the forehead, nose, and chin. No blemishes.)

I have never really purchased high end cosmetics, and I'm not opposed to it, but I hate spending money on make up and it doesn't live up to it's claims. Is there some foundation and powder I can use that will help me, and maybe stay on and look good more than 4 hours?

Also, I am using Sea Breeze astringent to cleanse, because it's the only thing that makes my face feel clean! I was using a Neutrogena toner before, but it just didn't clean my face well enough. I've tried the little oil blotting papers, they work, but I must blot all the time with them. Is there a better cleanser that will work? Again, I don't mind paying for it, if it is worth it.

Alright experts, help me out!

CruiserMom, I have oily skin as well and I use Urban Decay's setting spray. I can't remember the name of it, but they sell it at Sephora and they have a formula made specifially for oily skin. I just use the regular and it works very well for me.

Me!!! Decided not to get a full coverage foundation after all, so I ordered (online) Nars foundation and powder, and 1 Dior Lipstick :goodvibes:goodvibes
Can't wait till it comes :cool1:

Just got my box from UPS last night :cool1::cool1: Foundation is awesome and natural looking :) The powder is ok and I heart the Lipstick!!! So Happy I switched brands :goodvibes

Ah, yes. I would consider myself to be an expect with oily skin...although something I shouldn't be proud of! :headache:

Foundation: I recommend anything that says 'Matte' finish. This will help with oily skin. I have been using Clinique liquid foundation for over 14 years...recently switched from their Acne Solutions to Even Better. (Both are liquid.) I pay $24.50 a bottle....well worth it in my opinion!

Powder: Interesting tip I got from a Clinique beauty consultant: If you are prone to oily skin you want to use a pressed powder....not the loose powder.
Again, look for something with 'Matte Finish'. I use Clinique's Stay Matte Sheer Pressed Powder.

As for skin care products.....it took me years to discover that nothing over-the-counter worked on my face! I tried it all. Well 8 years ago I came across H20 products. (Yep, the products that are now at Disney World!)

On H20's website look for "skin care expert" at the top. This will guide you through a questionnaire and the products recommended at the end are unique to your skin care needs. (I won't go into detail with the H20 products I use because mine are a bit acne based.)

Also throughout the day I use matte blotting tissues...I buy the Sephora collection....most days I only need to blot once or twice.

It took me several years of trial and error and I now have products that work for me! I hope it won't take you that long, especially since you've got Disboard ladies help! :thumbsup2

I loved the H2O products when we had them on a Disney cruise one year! I had no idea you could buy the stuff online! Thanks for the tip.

With me it is blemishes on my nose and around my mouth! I am menopausal. I have been using the Neutrogena gel that is supposed to clear them up in a day but here is a news flash ...they lie! When I get up in the morning my nose is so oily and I cannot figure out why.

OMG it is not only me! What the heck is going on ? I thought I got over that when I was 21. I do not think it is fair I paid my dues when it come to oily skin! PLEASE don't let the oil thing return to my hair that would be too much. I got the Clairisonic and am going to try it tonight. I HOPE that it is not going to stimulate the oil glands. That would =uck
