The Magical DISmeets!! The Last week in August/Sept! See Post #1 for Meet Info

Ok, everyone. I asked this question before. But, need to ask again. Since we are all so close. Plus, I do not think I got a definative answer.

Where would everyone like to meet at Splash, on August 30th @ 2 p.m. (Please remember to go get your fastpass tickets, around 11a.m. or 12!!)??

In front of the entrance, by the fastpass line up?( I think this may be the best spot. Since we all will have our faatpass tickets!)

By the bridge?

Or around the corner, down the steps. By the fastpass ticket machines?

I need to know exactly where we will meet. For as you all know splash gets very crowded?? So, all ideas, suggestions are welcome!!

You all have safe travels to the World! I will see you all down there!!:goodvibes :yay: :yay:

Traci :sad2:  I am sorry. What a nice lady she is. Some people:rolleyes: Things will get better. Just think she wont be your boss soon!!:thumbsup2

Plus, you will forget all about her in 6 days!!

MariaEller, I have been watching the weather, since last week. Every single day. It is sad. But, maybe somehow we will get a break. Hopefully the thunderstorms will be isolated.

Yep, you are right,, she is only gonna be my boss for another 9 months or so :yay: Plus once I am on the plane, I won't give her a second though :cloud9:

As for the thunderstorms,,,,well I am a little wierd, I absolutely love thunderstorms, I don't know why. Last year when we had our first trip to Disney, the thunder and lightning were awesome! Me and the kids would sit up watching the lightning at night, we never get lightning that good here :lmao: Being from England, we are totally used to the rain :rolleyes1: As long as the rides don't get shut down we will be happy enough

Melissa, as far as the meeting place goes, I have never been to splash mountain so I can't help, we didn't seem to cover an awful lot of magic Kingdom last year. Whatever everyone else thinks will be fine with me :thumbsup2:

I'm thinking it would be cool if everyone could meet at the bridge so we could get a group picture. Then after the pic those who want to ride together can and those who have to scoot for the next attraction or ADR's are able to do so without missing out on meeting everyone. What do you think?

She meant 11am!:rotfl: Please I already have someone correcting my spelling HERE on the Dis!:lmao:

Weather at WDW - Updated Tuesday pm, August 21, 2007
Hot with highs in the 94-96 range today and tomorrow, but the upper air ridge finally begins to weaken and break down by Friday. That should put highs in the 91-93 range through the weekend and a definite increase in shower coverage. What was initially looking like a potential Felix has pretty much fizzled, but it could bring some extra showers on Saturday. Still, nothing bad. For Monday on through the first week of September it looks like temps in the 90-93 range for highs and a decent chance of a brief seabreeze afternoon thunderstorm each day. A nice little trough develops over the eastern US on Sept 1 which could potentially knock highs into the upper 80s, but we'll just have to wait and see on that one. The GFS develops another tropical system around Sept 5-6, but that's at the very end of the model run, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Tropical season certainly isn't over, it's really just beginning, but for now I don't see anything to be immediately concerned about.

I have seen enough rain the last three days!:bored: :umbrella:

What a great weather report!!!!. We're in southern NJ, very close to PA and we, too, have had rain for the last three days....the kind of rain that makes us start looking for those Ark plans and watching for the animals to start marching two by two....:). mid to upper 80's sounds like what I've been hoping for :thumbsup2 .

I am like Traci, I love thundershowers. But, I would love to have a break in the rain, to see some sun. Hopefully, before my trip is over.

Yes, please pick us up on the bridge. We'll be in our Mickey Ponchos :) Of course it is raining as I type this....we must be very close to the 40 day mark...the dogs and cats are lining up two by two..:rotfl:

I am on my way to the Disney Store and to Michaels. I am finishing up our tee shirts tonight. I told my DH that I need to turn in my Pre-trip report and said "turn it in to who :rotfl2: " He doesn't get it at all. :sad2: He has agreed to post the pictures for me so if you all could watch tonight for my trip report. I have this fear that no one will read it or that it will be the worse trip report ever read. If so, this will be me at the meet :cool2: incognito other wise known as the hidden mickey (actually hidden minnie).

Anyway...8 more days and plenty to do :laundy:

Stepdisney,
don't worry, there will be plenty of people reading your pre trippie!
Have you started it yet? When its up and running don't forget to post the link to it :thumbsup2:

WooHooo!!!! 36 1/2 more hours until I hop in the van to head to Atlanta, Georgia! WooHoo!!! The first leg of the trip is right around the corner! Now, if it would only stop raining long enough for the van to dry off so we can get the rainguards put onto our van. Otherwise, please send the ark my way!!

WooHoo!!!

WOOHOO WOOHOO WOOHOO

Hows everyone doing with the packing?? I still haven't finished :lmao:

Tracie, I am 94.8% finished packing. I just do not understand what went awry. I intended to take 3 bags tops. One bag, would be for waters, and non- essentials. So whatever, I bought from the world. I could use that bag for the return trip. As it stands now, I have 4 bags packed, and a carry-on. All of the bags are full. So, so much for having a near empty bag, i can use only for purchases. I went through them twice eliminating things, but it is still the same thing. Instead of maybe 50 lbs each, they may each be 46.:confused3

In my mind, I know this is entirely to much for a 10 day trip. I will recheck one last time tonight.:)

We have had a major setback..... I think we are still going to go, but has been rather iffy the last couple days. Yesterday, my Mom had a DR. apt and she told him about the trip. He didn't think it was a good idea, as she has been having breathing problems lately. He wasn't going to say no, but wanted her to have a heart cath, just to be sure.... they scheduled it for today! (usually it can take a couple weeks to get one scheduled). Well apparantly they found a blockage, because they went ahead and put a stint in.. she has to stay in the hospital overnight, and rest for the next couple days. The thing that bothers me is that the Dr didn't come out and talk to me, so I really don't know how severe the blockage was, or if she will be well enough to be out in the heat. She says she is breathing easier and that we are definately going, but I am a worry wart....:confused3

So I am praying that she gets better, and that we will still be able to go!

I would consider renting a EVC and getting a GAC card....tomorrow talk to or call the DR(it is going to take a few days) and make sure he realizes that you are going to be in FL, ask what you can do to keed her on track with his medical plans. DO you have insurance? It might be used to reschedule this trip. Good luck, I hope she has a quick and complete recovery.
