The Magic Happened Here…a Jan ’12 TR NEW 9/26 all of Day4)

Your Ohana breakfast looks so nice and relaxing! I love the comparison picture from 4 years earlier - everyone grew up so much!

What a yummy start to the day! :thumbsup2

I love the kids pictures now and 4 years ago. So sweet! :lovestruc

Sorry your family has had a rough few weeks. I am hoping some pixie dust finds its way to you soon! :wizard:

such great pictures! we were in disney on the same day as you, but we were in the mk. I wonder if our days lined up at all!

Oh Julie, my heart goes out to you with everything you've been going through. Middle school is brutal enough with out added issues and concerns...x2! I so know the feeling of "calgon take me away" and it's so hard to realize it's just not possible at the moment.

I agree with everyone about trying to find a short, local escape to provide a little respite from life if you can.

Wonderful breakfast! I imagine after the night before you all needed that extra half hour and how lovely it didn't really slow things down.

We loved our 'Ohana breakfast! It looks like you had a great time as well...the pictures of the whole family are fantastic. :thumbsup2

I went to Ohana for the first time in October with a friend. I had such a great time that it is one of the few TS meals I have planned for my August trip with my grandkids.

I love the comparison shot of the kids when they were younger and now. I have been going through pics and organizing them. I was looking at my oldest DGS from when he was 5 and so tiny and last year when he was as tall as Mickey and almost as tall as Goofy. I was a little sad to see how much he has grown. I think he may pass Goofy on this trip.

Can't wait to read more.

Every since the Dis was messed up a few weeks ago, I've not been getting my notifications of updates. Ugh! Oh well, I'm all caught up again and wanted to say I loved the Ohana update. We aren't big breakfast eaters but every time I see an Ohana breakfast post, I want to make an ADR there. I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of when the kids were younger and their present picture. Kids grow up sooooo fast!

Julie, great update. It looks like the kids had a blast with the characters. I love the present and the "past" family picture...they sure have grown up.

LOVE your breakfast experience and pictures. Joey came running over to see all the characters.

:thumbsup2

I love the comparison of your photo from 4 yrs ago to now.:goodvibes

I know, how fun is that ...:goodvibes

I just showed the pictures to Danica because we will be having breakfast here next month...I don't know if she was more excited to see the bacon or Mickey !

this comment made my day when i read it the first time and still has me smiling :goodvibes

I'm trying to get my DH to do 'Ohana and I have to show him your pictures!! It looks awesome! Everyone looked like they had so much fun. I love your family staged shot at the very beginning!

ooh it is yummy and nice not to have to get up and get your food :thumbsup2 hope you go the next trip!

Hi, I am just joining in but am really enjoying your posts so far! Can't wait to read more! Thanks for sharing your trip! :)

:welcome: and thanks for reading!

Day 2) continued…

I last left off w/ us leaving O’Hana for a quick stop back at our room and getting ready to head to EP for the rest of the day…

We took the stroller w/ and grabbed sweatshirts and the matching scarves for later in the day. We took the Monorail back over to the TTC and switched Monorails to board the EP one. We didn’t have that long of a wait and soon were entering the park!

We stopped for some PP Pictures in front of SSE…the sun was shining high (and I regretted not packing hats and sunglasses for all the kids)

It was just after 1 pm at this point and we headed straight over to the Land for Soarin and the truth telling height check…

Was Naomi-Ruth tall enough to ride?

IMG_3899.jpg

YAY she was (I think I knew she was already, but this seals the deal)…now all 6 of us get to ride together for the first time ever! Rachel of course was getting nervous as she doesn’t really like this ride and the flying sensation…but we assured her it would be fine and she has done it before! I’m glad she didn’t freak out completely…

We had a bit of a wait in the FP line but not that bad….but seriously they need to add something interesting to look at in here…

Getting ready to board I think we were row 3.
IMG_3897.jpg

I snagged a quick shot in the seats before take off:
IMG_3898.jpg

The flight was a success, we all enjoyed it, and I was glad I wasn’t too distracted w/ wondering how NR like it cause she was saying Whee! And swinging her feet :goodvibes

After we got off she declared “I have been waiting my whole life to go on that ride!” LOL

Next we decided to do Living w/ the Land. The kids have never been on this (crazy I know) Nate was a little worried when we didn’t use the GAC and as I tried to reassure him we didn’t need it, since it was a walk on…but he sees a line and immediately thinks it will take too long…but we got on quick…so whew!

Here are some pictures:

It was neat to see it in the daylight in the garden house, compared to when matt and I went on at night the previous year. All the plants and gardens made me wishful for a garden of our own. The kids really like the ride and looking at all the neat things around them…especially the Hidden Mickeys we found:

Up next we walked over to the Seas and went for a Clam-mobile ride under the Sea w/ Nemo and Friends…

IMG_3905.jpg

This as well was a practical walk on (YAY) the little girls wanted to ride together by themselves:

IMG_3906.jpg

DSCN1364.jpg

After we got off the ride we walked over by Bruce to get a few photos here…this spot was a bit more crowded but we managed a couple good ones:

As we were finishing up w/ this and getting ready to head out to the next thing…I had a bit of a panic

“Where’s Naomi-Ruth?”

We turned around and there she was talking to some nice CM about sharks and checking out the teeth…
IMG_3907.jpg

IMG_3908.jpg

We must have stood here for a good 20 minutes chatting w/ him and the girls just loved asking questions and learning more about sharks. I think we made that CM’s day!

One more picture (always wanted to take one here):
DSCN1373.jpg

Nathan was getting a bit antsy so we moved on…we next headed to another new thing for the family as a whole:

IMG_3910.jpg

I actually have some good video of us tasting them and Bekah actually liking Beverly…can you believe that? Haha but until matt and I get around to editing it…you’ll have to wait on that…here is the one lone picture we took in there:

DSCN1374.jpg

We all tried all the samples and I should have jotted down the ones we liked and didn’t like…

We now split up for TT as Matt decided he didn’t want to chance riding this and Naomi-Ruth decided she didn’t want to go on…bummer.

I snapped a picture of Rachel in front for her 2nd time going on this:
IMG_3912.jpg

I made a note on my touring card that we were in line at 3:35 pm. It was a bit of a wait even using the FP, but not too horrible. We got in a car w/ two other young boys from the single rider line.

Waiting in line:
IMG_3913.jpg

I later told Matt good thing he didn’t go on cause right after we loaded the car started to move forward to the seatbelt ck and braked super hard…OUCH!

When we got close to the PP shot I told everyone to raise their arms in the air:
Photo0191FourBySix.jpg

Um Rachel where are your arms? [wink]

We had a fun ride and I attempting videotaping this too…haha a lot harder than it looks.

Here’s a picture of NR hanging out while they waited:
IMG_3911.jpg

We met back up w/ Matt and NR near Mouse gear for a shopping break…

I had made TT DL’s for the kids from the 2010 trip, but had never given them to them…so I finally remembered this trip…

DSCN1375.jpg

Here’s a close up:
Bellettl.jpg

I know I should have taken the picture near TT oh well….they put them in their lanyard pouches as a special souvie.

So stay tuned for more EP fun!

Thanks for reading, J~

Love this pic!!

You guys were definitely tired to sleep in so long at Disney! Good for you but bad that you had monorail delays.

We haven't done breakfast here so I'm interested in your review.

Love you photo pic -- it is perfect and definitely one of those you should buy -- so good for you!!

Yay! Naomi-Ruth got to ride Soarin'!

Cute driver's licenses....love it! And you even got the single rider tag-alongs to join in for the photo op! :thumbsup2

O'hanas looks great! I think we will try to eat there for breakfast sometime. I had forgotten that the characters are more than Lilo and Stitch!

yay for NR riding Soarin! Elizabeth rode it for her first time, too this past January.

Cute TT DL.

Looks like you all are having a nice time in Epcot!

YAYYYY NR was tall enough for Soarin! I love the description of her on the ride, saying Whee! and swinging her feet! Too cute!
Looks like you guys had some luck with some of the lines :thumbsup2
I can't believe Bekeh liked Beverly! Hahaha to each his or her own!
Love the drivers licenses! :thumbsup2

YAY! YAY! NR on Soarin':cheer2: Too cute about her swinging her legs and saying "whee!" I am with you...I always wonder why they didn't put more into the "waiting area" for that ride? It is boring...but I would be bored THERE right now if I could!

Love the driver's licenses'! You are soooo creative!!:thumbsup2

Yay for NR being tall enough to go on the ride she'd be waiting for for her whole life!!! :yay: I'm glad everyone enjoyed their flight!

Your TT shot is too cute! I love (almost) all of the arms up! And the drivers licenses are awesome!

The boys love when they get to ride together.

Yay for NR being tall enough for Soarin'! I love how she had been waiting her whole life to ride it! :goodvibes

The boys have never been on Living with the Land either so I'm hoping to change that in just a couple weeks. :thumbsup2 Alex will probably be bored, but I think Zach will like it.

Yeay for Naomi Ruth riding Soarin'! Love her comment at the end! :rotfl:

I also love the picture of everyone under SSE. I love that moment of walking under it! :goodvibes

Looks like lots of fun was had at Epcot that day!
