This is a SCREAM for help because I am about like this right now

Which way should we go doc which way should we go: :crazy2:

1 - May weekend trip to the Flower/Garden Show & July trip for a week both keeping the budget in mind.

2 - July trip only without minding the budget so much?????????

Please help!!!!!!!! Southwest just popped up with a great ding for the May trip and I need to decide quickly!

Minnie - sorry you're not getting any responses - it's lunchtime so maybe that's why? :confused3

I think it would depend for me on whether there were children involved in either trip. If it is just adults both times, I think I would rather have one week and not worry about the budget. But July is so hot, I also wouldn't feel like eating much, so maybe having to watch the budget wouldn't be too hard. Like anything else, this sooooo depends on your touring style and what you enjoy most about Disney.

Some of the fun of Disney for me is food, so if budget constraints would severely limit my food choices, I would rather have just the one trip. If by budget constraints you mean souvenirs - give me two trips and keep the stinkin' t-shirts! I can make my own a lot cheaper anyway . . .

If you are talking about an adults only trip in May and then with kids in July, I think I would want both trips - just to be able to enjoy everything for myself. I'm all about me today, though, so today is not the best day to ask me this!

You'll have a great time no matter what you decide. . .

I would take the two trips and watch the budget. For us it is always stay longer and be careful or go for a short but wild trip. We always pick the stay longer choice. We never regret it. I have never slept at the Poly, but I have gone on a 22 day trip to WDW!

Have a good weekend Maelstromers and Happy Birthday ya sexy Melon Mama!

Have a fun weekend in LA, Princess Aurora.

Minnie - I'm not big on short trips to the world. I think I'd rather do just July and feel like I could splurge a little (maybe add a day or two there, or at least have a couple of really nice meals). Flower and Garden festival doesn't really get me hyped up, though, so I may not be the right one to ask. Now, if it was Food & Wine.....that might be a different story :teeth:

GeorgiaAristocat, so sorry you had such a tough night. I remember feeling like we were making progress with my youngest, and just reaching the point where he MIGHT start sleeping through the night, then he'd get sick, and you're back to the drawing board. Hope you can get a nap in today!

Oh, and pardon my excitement, but :woohoo: I'm so excited to be in the yearbook!! Thanks, Lou. You da man!! :smooth:

Happy Birthday MOMOFMNM! :cool1: Hope you're having fun!

New England Eeyore -- Thanks for your advice on the DP. It'll be just me and hubby, and we love us some fancy table service. I'm sure we can get our money's worth. If I don't get the AP's (and thus the DDE 20% card) we'll go DP for sure.

and where the heck in NE are ya? Are you neighbors with me and AshClan?

Minnie -- my 2 cents is go for both. The F&G is so lovely, and although I'd have a tough time only being there for a couple of days, you'd have the July trip to look forward to!

G.A. -- Oh my. I feel your pain. No advice or magic words, but maybe it'll help a little to know you're not alone. :grouphug: BT/DT.

Birthday girl, MomofMNM, add a special extra to your big trip in August, tonight or this weekend, to give yourself a belated little gift. A massage, or facial at one of the spas. You are worth it! :wizard: Pixie dust to you, you youngun'! Hope you are thrilled with your POR choice. :cloud9: You got me thinking maybe we'll stay there next time!

Georgia-Oh, woman, what a night you had. Isn't it fun to go to work on 2 hours of sleep? Been there too, poor you and poor little sweetie boy!

Pongo- sorry I missed you guys the other night. My poor hubby needed a little attention-he's been feeling a wee bit abandoned!

Grammy2- Yoohoo to you too! too funny. Thanks for missing me!

hi lil'grumpy- you sweet man.....

Hey All!

GA - I'm so sorry you had a bad night. BTW - it never stops....but it does get better! DS7 was up twice last night.

The spray painted grass is always greener. I thought I was sleep deprived, but I was talking to SinL - who had a baby last Friday. (new nephew for me!) She now doing the every three hour thing! :rotfl2: And this is her first (and only) and she almost 41! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (I'm so mean!)

So, I just think of her!

HaleyB - I still have to lay with DD 10!!!!! I figure I only have a few years left so might as well. It's not that she's scared, it's just become our time to "talk" about the day's events. I think this will have it's advantages when she's a teen! Beside, I'll get her back - I'll come and lay with her when she's 16! ;)

Minnie - I vote for the long trip in July. I like short visits, but I find myself thinking about leaving when I just get there (aka Zzub's TR)

Ashclan - I'm sorry but everytime I see your name I read "Ash-can" ;) :rotfl:

Momofmnm - :cake: :bday:

Happy Birthday MomofMNM!!! I put some pics on my TR you might enjoy! Thanks for keeping Dis alive for me, folks, even if I am far away.
Jamal

You guys are too sweet. I really wasn't looking for sympathy - I was trying to make people laugh (heck, I laugh everytime I think of little man sprawled on my husband's face like the baby alien - but wait - it was out of my stomach he popped - hmmmmmm. Analagies run awry.)

Off to help a co-worker plan a trip in late Sept - free dining - she talked her husband into it. And I get to plan it - yippee! (I really am excited - I love planning!)

Happy Birthday

No apologies necessary. My husband used to be called that by his "friends" in high school!! (nice friends, huh?)

Jamal? Are you here? Your new installment is great! The princess pics are unbelivable! And two biggies stopped by to endorse you, girl! Told you it's a good one. And the note you left on my TR, you're the same kind of mommy as me? Do I know you?

While I really wanted to attend the Flower & Garden Show some unexpected family complications have occured this afternoon so we will be unable to go on the May trip :sad2:

However all is not lost as I plan on booking the BC for an extra couple days and then switching to the WL courtyard at the end of the trip for pure relaxation :smooth: :woohoo:

Thank goodness the time off and plane tickets are booked for the July trip so that is a definte go!!!!!!!

Now to plan PS's or rather ADR's as they are called these days

I think we are going to do a bunch of fun things to offset this like the Sea Racers, Cirque, ect.

I shouldn't feel this bumbed as I know how lucky we are to be going at all but still :guilty:

Thanks for listening :goodvibes

Hey JulieE. I am a former Chick-Fil-A chicken slinger as well. I did two and half years in the mid 80's.

About a year ago, a new location opened in Austin and I happened to be in the right place at the right time and got an invite to the night before opening party. Dan Cathy (the current CEO and son of the founder for those who haven't been schooled in all things CFA) was there and I had a chance to thank him and tell him that working at Chick-Fil-A was a wonderful experience and I hope that when my boys are teenagers they can work there too.

Yes, working there was great and I hope that my dd will work there when the time comes. The atmosphere was just so much better I think that McD's would be. I also got the $1000 scholarship and was in the WinShape program at Berry so that helped out! Grand openings are fun, aren't they. I did a couple - one in Rome and one in Atlanta.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMOFMNM (AKA MELONMOM!!!!) :cake: party: :bday:

hi MAELSTROMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOU: OMG :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

thanks....I think!!!! ;)

ALL MY DIS FRIENDS:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
you all made my day!!!

so far, I had a great breakfast at school thrown for me by my co-teachers, a big choc moose (spelling??) cake BEFORE lunch with my kiddies  in my class...got a huge spring arrangement delievered to me at work by dh...and got some really lovely gifts from friends at school!! It has been great...would it make you all sick to know I am kinda bummed about 29?? It is my last year before the big 3-0 and not that I think I am old by any means...but I am getting wiser and have been doing that "soul searching" thing today...dangit I should just go for more cake and forget deep thought. I am going to immerse myself in a huge VOLCANO at our teppan place tonight...sorry but it beats the pants off Teppanyaki at WDW...MMMMMM Iowa beef.....yummy! Anyway volcanos are huge drinks served in a volcano bowl with lighted, flaming 100 proof liquor...and a lot of other liquor too. I always get very toasty...so dh is looking forward to this I am sure.
The kids are going to see grandpa this weekend and although I am going to miss them...I actually get to have free time for 24 hours...what shall I do??

DIS!!!!

I was feeling a little blue but you all cheeeered me up today!! You all totally ROCK!!!
:grouphug:
thanks everyone!!!!

MAELSTROM....

Yeah well you should see what I did at the other place. I didn't have to behave myself there. ;)
