I'm soooooo disappointed they decided to lock mine. I felt I did right by the people who don't care for the chitter-chatter by labeling the installments, but apparently it wasn't enough. But I WILL continue my report. I wrote some last night and might get to do some tonight as well (I have a meeting at 3 and one at 6:30, though  ). Fortunately, I have three planning periods tomorrow, so I'll get to write then, too!

Hope we can keep this thread alive!

LY, MI!

I'm glad you are deciding to continue the report. I don't understand what the problem is over there. They are giving some people warnings, but not others. It's just not right! No one says that the reports have to be read, so if someone doesn't like the extra "chatter" then don't read it, JMHO.

(now lets hope I don't get banned. Peace offering to the mods: :flower3: )

Whew! Yesterday I was able to keep up with everything cause I have no life. Only kidding. Acutually, I got to see a couple of posts before they were pulled. Today I actually had things to do that were more important than the play by play on the DIS. Glad to get that all out.

Just got a chance to catch up! WOW alot has happened. Need a smoke after all that. :smokin:

Now while you are at Walmart, you need to check out a few things. Everything is Tagless now. :rotfl2: T-shirts, undies, sweats, etc. And they cost more. Without a doubt, tagless is the way to go.

BTW, I love soup, too. Only it has to be my soup, not canned, not Le Cellier, not even Boma, just mine.

Please continue the story. The short version was great, but I am sure there is more. Now I really gotta run, DH thinks I am taking a shower, not Dissing :wave2:

Mel's and Vettechick's reports locked, and yet, Lil' Grumpy's remains unlocked, with new posts yet. The mind boggles at that particular dichotomy.

Where will you post the rest, so we know where to look?

LOL, giving your opinion and yet wanting to give the mod's peace flowers. Nice.

:rotfl: What are you talking about? That's the best TR ever! ;)

I'm still not convinced that's an adult. :confused3

When my mother had stitches near her eye, the doctor recommended Vitamin E cream. It helped A LOT.

Oh yes, absolutely!!! Mel (nice to 'meet' you by the way, I loved your trip report!), vitamin E cream is amazing. A friend of DH's fell and got a very nasty yellowish/blueish/blackish/greenish/purplish bruise all down the side of his face. His wife (probably in an attempt to ensure that the neighbours didn't attribute the bruising to her!) applied vitamin E cream to it. I saw him on Day 1 (yeuch!) and I saw him on Day 7 (wow!!!). This stuff was miraculous! You can get it in 'oil' too, possibly in a natural food and herb store.

Also, you could try cod liver oil (used for many years by my mother who, at 67 looks fab) or aloe vera gel.

Hope your little babes is ok, poor little guy. My eldest has a pretty horrific accident 2 years ago when he was 9. DH was mowing the lawn and the grass was quite long and so he accidentally mowed over and mangled a steel shovel. My son was looking at the mangled up shovel in fascination at how the steel had disected in so many places. We threw it into the bin naturally. The thing was lethal - pointy bits of sharp steel sticking out everywhere and it was filthy too. The next morning, DS came out of the shower and screamed a scream I'll never forget. I ran in and there was blood *pouring* out of his foot and I couldn't figure out why. I was hysterical, so was he naturally. He was shouting "sorry mom, sorry, sorry, I brought the shovel in from the bin earlier, I thought it was cool". So, he had brought it in, left it outside the bathroom and came out of the shower and yep, straight onto it and it went right up through the middle of his foot, impaling as much as 3 inches in places. He had surgery and all was well. He missed a nerve by a fraction of a millimetre. I still feel queezy thinking about it.

Good luck with the scar issue. Hope he's all better soon. *Hugs* for little Tommy.

Welcome to the CB, Mel! I loved your report, too. I saw your post on the trip reports board regarding the thread locks (no, they are nothing like dread locks) and I just had to tell you that you are one CLASSY lady. Good work.

I couldn't believe it! So sorry about that. I guess all comments posted to your next installment will have to contain some arbitrary but necessary-to-make-it-legit comments like "oh, you were in the Contemporary, isn't Chef Mickeys cute?!" followed by the fun but non TR-related chit chat. :teeth:

Looking forward to reading more from you...... the best thing would be if you can provide links to individual installments within your old thread (the LOCKED one  ). I have seen links to individual posts, not sure how it's done, but it's possible, though can it be done when the thread is locked??? Not sure, hmmmm.....

Anyway, looking forward to the next installment and we'll all be good boys and girls, no meandering off the TR topic! Pffft.

Awww. While I admit Lil' Grumpy's posts are tough to follow, he seems like a sweet guy with a big heart. He likes to talk about his family and his love of Disney, that's all, pretty much like many of us here. Also, he's a big fan of Vettechick and 1000thHappyHaunt so I'm sure he's as shocked as any of us that the threads were locked.

This thread is great, let's not lower the tone of it by being mean about a fellow DISer, eh? Just a thought. :goodvibes

Maelstrom. . .

Maelstrom IS a FASTPASS, my friend.

Oh, SWEET FANCY MOSES! It's ZZUBie. I'm so glad you found me! Way over here.

Oh good lord! What am I doing? I'm like a 6th grader. Did I ACTUALLY call you ~ ZZUBie?????? And I put in a dreaded creepy bananaman too???

What the heck is with me? I better GROW UP!!! Soon.

Just not now.

By the way, ZZUB... isn't it ME who's supposed to be stalking YOU? Heh, heh.

Vettechick!!! The GRAND DAME of the Disboards!!! And... my friend. Glad you came over. Let's have a drink. I think I need one. 'Cause I just returned from Walmart and read ZZUB's beautiful but so SAD Epilogue. I cried and then posted to his report and the one about the locking of the threads. Came over here and WOW... thanks for jumping on board. This is gonna be FUN! Fun I say!

I'm sorry your thread got locked. But you MUST continue. We need to hear the rest of your trip. I'm glad you've decided to. 'Cause I didn't want to have to arm wrestle you. You ROCK!!!!!!

And, yeah, I'm gonna continue with The Hospital of Gory Blood: The Aside.

That WAS the title? Right?

Alrighty... MAN this is a busy board. I must look for the Coffee/Software Lady's Pre-trip report and bump it for her.

Thanks for all the comments and feedback. And HELLOOOOO to all my TR board Disfriends.

I'm SO happy that Vettechick is going to continue her report.

So happy.

OK... this is the thing. I went to Walmart with The General. I drove. So we made it there and back in one piece. Although she tore a strip off of my hiney 'cause I didn't park PERFECTLY in the middle of the two lines in the lot. And I had to remind her that at LEAST... at LEAST... I can parallel park. So... she better just calm down!!!! Anywho... I went and looked for Mederma or Maderma Cream. Couldn't find it on the shelves. I asked the pharmacist and she said that IT'S NOT AVAILABLE IN CANADA. Along with Combos, Good Seasons Italian dressing packets and Chili's Restaurants. I'm not sure which of those four things I'm more upset about. Ok. I'm steamed about all of them. So... I got a number to call so I can, hopefully, order the cream. I'm gonna go do that now. And have a drink. I think. Then... I'll be back later to continue my hospital tale. Either that... or I'm gonna be curled up in a little tight drunken ball crying my eyes out 'cause this day has been a wee bit stressful. I think. Mel.

You misunderstood my comment. I have nothing but love for the Grumpster. I was simply trying to make the point that if anyone's posts could be said to be off-topic on the TR board, his could. At least, certainly as much as anyone posting to the aforementioned locked threads. However, in re-reading my prior post, I could see that I wasn't clear. Didn't mean to DIS the Grumpmeister!

WAHOO!!! :cool1: I found Mel Happyhaunt! :dancer:

BTW, they locked Vettechick's thread?!?! :badpc:
I hope she posts the rest on here so I don't have to keep following her around the DISboards!

Well, Mel-

I finally get to post on your thread. I was waiting to post until I caught up, but because I started a little before my own fabulous journey to the world, and then just came back to DIS this week, I didn't get the chance to say, "Can I have your sense of humor?"!!!!

So I posted an In memoriam post on my thread today. It was disney related in that it talked about ghosts coming back after another trip and all, I even had taps playing. When I started seeing posts about zzub, I did the unthinkable and went to his last post. I was saving his report to read last. And when I read it, I decided to go to my post and edit the in memoriam, as it seemed not the right time and poof! Gone. It wasn't there. Like several other posts that vanished into thin air.

So I found you all hear, and I too want more, more, more, how do you like it, how do you like it! It's tough to admit, but sometimes I like disco.

I am so glad you are going to post the rest of your story! :woohoo: I've never been to this board before, but I have a feeling I will be checking in here more often!
Thanks so much for your stories..they have me laughing at work, cause who has time to read at home??

I loved your report as well so I figured that I would follow you over here, not in that creepy way though. Just thought things would be funny over here as well.
