My dd does that all the time at Northern University in Upper Michigan. The school gives all laptops to the students and they want to implement no one on the internet during class time.

I'm hoping that the mods over there will lighten up a little. The Dis is a place to have fun and we WERE having fun. Why the decided to close the threads I don't know. I can understand why the closed Mel's (I don't like it, but I can at least see why the did it). I do NOT understand why the would close VetteChick's though. My god she wasn't even finished yet!!! So, if it takes a little sucking up to get the mods to relax, well someone's gotta do it! That being said, I will glady stay here and read the reports by those that were banished.

Hey, Mel - sorry you've had such a bad day. I felt so bad for you and Al earlier today. Look on the bright side, though. Do you SEE how many DISers are behind you?

There are alot of great theads on this board. There's an official what's for dinner thread that is updated daily with recipes (I got a GREAT one for avocado feta salsa the other day) and there's one called, "would you like to join me" for days like you've had today. Just in case you don't feel like going over there, I have some Chardonnay I could share with you.

I have to fess up at this point. I am a sucker for trip reports and I've been following yours since day one. I am a huge fan of your writing. Calvin sounds like a junior version of my 11yr old, Richard. Mine started his career in mischeviousness by mooning the class - AT THREE YEARS OLD!

I am curious to know where in Canada you are located. I've been to Vancouver and Victoria BC. Loved it.

As for Tommy's scar - I had a terrible one after my C-section. The Dr. injected it with vitamin K and it worked likea charm. I'm not sure if you want that poor baby to have to have another shot, though. Maybe there's a cream out there that has vitamin K in it?

One last thing. We bought the 50th celebration CD and DH loves to torture Richard by singing Oh Canada! It drives him nuts!

Ok I am home now and maybe I should say something before I get yelled at about the whole class thing...

I am 26, (about to get married woo hoo) and 6 classes away from graduating, and this particular class covers things that were previously covered. You are supposed to take this class before you are a senior...I can only go at night because I have to work for a living so I havent taken this class yet...so I am not piddle fartin around whilst I should be a learnin, I know most of it already.

Sorry to hijack for a minute but I didn't want anyone yellin at me.

I go to SUNY-Oswego and they are requiring the incoming students to have them and they are not supplying them but in my class they are bolted to the desk with internet already there

Ohhh... my day's been just fine. Except for The General's assault, the fact that I couldn't find that cream for Tommy and hearing ZZUB's sad news.

And you're very right. I didn't realize how many friends Vettechick, ZZUB and myself had around here. Till today. So I guess it's a great day, after all.

The happyhaunts reside in Southern Ontario. Somewhere between the US border and Toronto. But... I LOVE B.C. That's British Columbia for all you Canadian Geography buffs. I'll bet there's a buttload of you all... in the USA. We were there on our long ago honeymoon. To BC that is.

How does one put the link to their Trip Report in their signature? Maybe I'll put mine in. If I knew how.
