Good morning, Maelstrommers

You all know I am the voice of reason..... at times. heh heh
and this is one of them on a serious note.

I am extremely uncomfortable with the tone of certain posts, which include racism and revealing personal confidential information.

I am also concerned with the negativity and tone in some cases.

This thread was created as a community for people to laugh, share anecdotes, speak their mind and provide a forum for many topics. However the recent direction is not in keeping with my view of this thread.

I would ask that people remain respectful and appropriate regarding topics and the amount of information they disclose.

This has been a wonderful happy and upbeat place, where sensitivity was a hallmark. This is not the case in recent weeks.

I would ask that each of you take time to reflect on what you write and how it might affect others.

Hello all,

I am going to be serious for a moment, if you can believe that. I truly feel that there is a time and place for everything. In the spirit in which this thread was created, maelstrom is our happy place. As others do too, this is a place for fun and games, I feel.

Everyone knows, and if you didn't now you do, my pm box is always open for any of the heavy stuff, personal issues and any other ramblings. But, IMHO, those kinds of things have no place on our thread.

After reviewing the last several pages of this thread, I find that we have steered off our original mission here. This is a place where we come to have fun, joke around and just be generally silly.

With some remarks that have been made, I worry about the tone that we maybe setting with this thread. That makes me extrememly sad. I come here to get away from all that Negativity. I don't appreciate it and I'm sure others don't either.

Horseybabyponypoo - let me be the 1st to apologize for any infractions I may or may not have committed in the past weeks, if I did. (Not likely that I did, though, as I have only been on M-F during the day.)

Master G - I feel your pain. Really. I'm about to go back to the horizontal position myself. But I think Grammy's brownies are to blame. Or the cheap wine. Whatever.

I woke up to a bandaid over my left eye and several bloody towels in the bathroom. Allow me to explain. I have a new DISing area. It's in the former armoire that used to house the TV. It has doors. My head came in contact with said doors after chatting and brownies and no dinner and cheap wine. KnitIT wanted to take me to the ER, but I was having none of that. All is well, but I need to go buy bleach and Shout.

My new furniture arrives today! Yipee! I'll type at y'all later. Going to lay down in a dark room.

but professional boundaries and racism are soooo not a fastpass.

Maelstrom, is, though. Thank heavens! For no trip to EPCOT and Norway are complete without a trip through the shivering north.
