Hey guys....can you spare some good thoughts for my MIL???

She had hip surgery a couple weeks ago....got an infection and had to have the surgery over again. Well, they were going to release her to a continous care place today for physical therapy but have decided to operate again tomorrow. Needless to say, this isn't coming at the best time for us, and we're hoping that everything goes smoothly for her.

I do feel selfish even thinking of our vacation, ya know??? I had a horrible feeling about this surgery before she even had the first one. I don't know why....just one of those weird things....

Don't feel that way.............life goes on. My mom had two operations, one hip replacement and one pin in her ankle on the opposite leg. She's been bed and wheel chair bound for 2 months..............she's now learning to use a walker. I spent a LOT of time (and a lot of posts!) feeling guilty about not being able to be there with her the whole time..................it comes down to, you just can't.

Besides, she would probably feel TERRIBLE if she was the cause of Drew missing his vacation...............

Your not selfish to be thinking of your trip. You have been planning and waiting and want to be able to go, thats understandable. Will you all still go ?
