You didn't ask me, but I'll answer anyway. Bonnie and I both send class newsletters every week to keep parents informed. It's not too much to ask.PixiePop said:Hey Bonnie or Tootie![]()
I have a question for you. I have a friend who's son is in first grade and she is concerned about how he is "getting" things. She emailed the teacher and asked if she could provide weekly updates on what the class is working on so that she can assist at home in working on the same things as in class. The teacher came back and said that interim reports and report cards are sent home every 4 weeks and that IS her education report.
Was my friend right in asking for this information? Or is it too much to expect from the teacher due to the amount of kids in the class room?

Thanks, my friend said she was pretty defensive and was just wondering if she was expecting too much.
She should ask the principal if there is a policy on newsletters...............Sounds like it's time for.....paigevz said:I saw that one, RB.............it's funny!

Asking for a weekly report on what the child's academic progress is IS asking too much, in my opinion. As long as she sends graded papers home and sends out regular progress reports, that should be enough for the parents.
