I think we have about 13 chatters total right now. DIS is acting up so I am afraid to try and get to my PMs to see for sure. I think once the sign up by date passes we will "poll" to figure out the best time for the most chatters to do the on line Christmas party (with presents WOO HOO :cool1: ).

The send by date is the last day of November. The sign up date is the last day of October. I will have the secret chatters matched up by Nov.3 (most likely Nov. 1..but just in case real life got in the middle of something, I wanted to give myself a cushion).
13 is a LOT.............

You, Bonnie, Steph, I know those 3. Tricia, likely..............that still leaves 9. No, don't go to your PMS, I don't want to lose you. I sent you one asking if the DIS kicked you off. Jo is on, I'll bet...............Kim. Did Mary do it I wonder................

Yes, and I was a class non-attender.............but hey, I pulled a 3.7 without going to class............what were they going to say? :confused3
I was a non-attender too......and too darn lazy to withdraw from classes.....that'll kill a GPA in a hurry.... :sad2:

No... :lmao: I was trying to be funny cause I thought it was Steph (but maybe it was Mary) that asked if E. stood for Egypt when you said B.F.E. the other night. He grew up in IL.
Oh..........I thought you were SERIOUS.........and I was also thinking, okay, but really Egypt? Do they still CALL Egypt, Egypt? Sorry for being a blockhead!

Yes it will..............not even when it came down to the end of the window? Poor Stephie............my younger brother flunked the first semester. They gave him a special advisor, he told my parents to test for ADD..........that's when he was diagnosed.

Nope......I had no excuse......Well, other than having 2 children while in college.....but that wasn't really the reason.....I just have problems confronting uncomfortable things sometimes.....like today....I go to buy a camera, and there isn't a salesman around.....instead of flagging someone down, I just kind of stand around waiting on someone to help me...I finally went and found someone.....crazy.... :sad2:

Right. So did I. We didn't live in town, but my parent's store was in town. There used to be a movie theater a few doors down. It was abandoned and boarded up. We used to sneak away from the store when we were supposed to be working (have I mentioned what a bad kid I was?) and we pried one of the boards loose in the back and played in there. We swung on the curtains and took turns stomping the boards in the balcony to crash the rotten ones down on each others' heads.....................that was entertainment in BFE. :rotfl:

We didn't have any form of theater.......but we did have a skating rink......of course it was only open when someone rented it out for a birthday party....if you didn't get invited to a lot of parties, you were SOL... :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: You have me beaten.......we just had dirt roads to ride up and down......seriously, there was the main road, and then people just made their own roads off of the main road, so everything was mainly dirt.....we were as country as corn bread...

How did you grow up Jay? Steph and I know each others' stories well already.................

::yes:: Basically different towns......same story.... :teeth:

The story of "us" continued...once we did start to date, we knew. I mean neither of us was going to mess around with the friendship we had. If we were together...it was going to be for good. Dating your best friend is awesome...it is also very risky...if you break up you lose so much.

So...our Soph. year we got together in April and by Jan. of our junior year we were engaged. Another not so romantic story. We had gone to his home in the middle of nowhere and stayed with some of his friends (his parents didn't know we were in town). So...his mom sees me in a store and well...umm...she was not very happy at this point that her son (who is going to college 6 hours away) drove "home" and didn't stop in to visit. Somehow we got to fighting about that. Like it was my fault that she walked into the grocery store while I was getting some food (20 something single men have NO food in the cupboards). I don't know how or why...but it turned into a fight. Stupid fight. One that meant nothing...he was just feeling guilty and took it out on me. I should have known that and let it slide...but I didn't give an inch that time. So anyways...we are stuck together then on this 6 hour drive back and we really aren't talking. I wasn't going to break up with him or anything...but he must have thought he really blew it...

We stop for a quick food break at an overpass Wendy's. It went right over I-94 just outside of Chicago. While I was in the bathroom, he bought a ring out of a bubble gum machine (I had no idea)...

We ordered our food and sat down to eat (still not really talking) and dh dropped to his knee, pulled out the bubble gum machine ring and asked me to marry him right in the middle of the Wendy's dining area. A trucker hooted and whooped. And a few others in the dining area clapped. I guess I was in so much shock I didn't answer and he started to look sick (thinking I was really mad and leaving him). I finally figured out that I hadn't said anything and croaked out yes. Then we got free Frostys from the people at Wendy's and a pressed penny with a bible verse on it from the trucker (I still have it...I keep it in our safe with the little turn my finger green bubble gum ring).

Turns out he thought I was going to leave him and he had been thinking of how to ask for a while. So...he thought he better just ask (I guess me being quiet really scared him...I am NOT quiet by nature;)).

I got a "real" ring that year on Valentine's Day but that bubble gum ring is still special to me. :)

Not such a romantic way to get engaged...but it's the only story I have...so I  love it.

But you had that skating rink! We had to go hang out down at the dam at the lake...............

Jay, if you need me to be on time, that's no problem.......I will just be early.....and have to think....which wouldn't kill me....every once and a while everyone needs to have a good think..... :teeth:

Could I be a few days late? That way I could get my person a gift from WDW.....which is totally lazing out on my part......who doesn't like crap from WDW, right? Or, hmm...how bad is shipping from the parks?
I think that's a great idea. We can even push the mail by date back by a week...I just wanted to give everyone a chance to get it in the mail...I know mail that time of year is busy...but I think a WDW package would be AWESOME!!
