I am wide awake, I think I might have slept too much today. I hope I don't get turned around. How are you? Sleepy yet?paigevz said:You ready to chat the night away Steph or back to bed for you?
You're kidding right?Ready to go in Ok said:I am wide awake, I think I might have slept too much today. I hope I don't get turned around. How are you? Sleepy yet?
He has ADHD..........he hardly sleeps..............when he's sick, the only way to tell is with a thermometer, by looking in his eyes, or by his emotional state.Ready to go in Ok said:Poor guy. When my kiddos are really sick they sleep...that is how I can tell they aren't feeling well.....if they want to just watch tv, I know it is a snow job, and they just don't want to go to school.....

The little one too, gets really fussy, but he lays and watches TV.........doesn't sleep either, except for regular sleep times.
20 yrs ago, I never thought I would one day be talking about how my children act when they are sick. Off topic, sorry. Sometimes it just strikes me as strange that I am actually a mom. I am not very maternal sometimes, and when I was a teenager, I did not want kids......now I can't imagine life without them.
They are fine. My oldest has GERD, and she hasn't been taking her meds like she is supposed to, so she has been having stomach aches, but luckily, they don't seem to have come down with anything yet....paigevz said:So how are your girls???

I can't remember, what does your DH have?paigevz said:I always wanted lots of kids. After Big son was born, we couldn't have another. We tried to adopt but wanted younger than him and that was hard to find.........I was diagnosed with secondary infertility and took drugs to get Little Son. We still intended to adopt...........when the kids were bigger..........then dh got sick and we won't be accepted by any agencies now. I had that dream as far back as I can remember...........to adopt lots of kids. It was really hard to let go of it.
Autoimmune hepatitis..........his body attacks his liver and he produces toxic bile. He has to take synthetic bile and Imuran, which is a powerful immune suppressant. It's chronic and it's fatal. They gave him 5-10 years to live if he didn't go into remission. I had a 4 month old and a 7 year old when he was diagnosed. The only cure is transplant, and very few HIspanics donate organs. However, he can go into remission, which we now think he's done, and that can last indefinitely.Ready to go in Ok said:I can't remember, what does your DH have?
Oh my gosh! I didn't realize it was that serious...How scary for all of you. I am glad that he is in remission, that has to be a huge load off of your mind....paigevz said:Autoimmune hepatitis..........his body attacks his liver and he produces toxic bile. Well, we won't be sure he's in remission until his biopsy is done. That's the one we had to put off because he got sick.Ready to go in Ok said:Oh my gosh! I completely understand. I am the same way about my father and his illness. I don't really talk about it much because of the same reasons. Or my drunken SIL, or my destitute DSis, etc., etc.paigevz said:Well, we won't be sure he's in remission until his biopsy is done. That's the one we had to put off because he got sick.
That's why I was so worried because with his immune system low, the flu or strep can be really bad.
So I don't have the load off yet.
Jay has really helped me with some of this. It's good to talk about it, but I hate making people feel uncomfortable, so I keep it under wraps most of the time.
Also, because no one here really KNOWS anyone else, I'm afraid folks will think I'm an attention seeker and making all this stuff up. When I get to talking about it, it seems like a lot of stuff.................which, I guess, is why I have anxiety attacks and don't sleep well.
