The Mad Chatters thread Part 5

I completely understand. I am the same way about my father and his illness. I don't really talk about it much because of the same reasons. Or my drunken SIL, or my destitute DSis, etc., etc.

I know people IRL think that I am exagerating, so I can only imagine what people on line would think lol

I am glad you have had Jay to talk to. I don't know her very well, but she seems nice. :)

She is.

Yes, I have my mother's whole wreck, all the insurance stuff around that, my tumor, my father had a stroke when I was 9 so he's disabled, we've got some money trouble.......mostly young poor planning and dr. bills. My brother was living in NOLA when the hurricane struck, my cousin is in Japan now with Korea setting off bombs.

See how it all sounds when you put it together???

Oh, I forgot my foot that we still don't know what's wrong with.

Sorry about your family stuff..................especially your dad. :grouphug:

And you have anxiety attacks why? ;)

I am sorry that you are going through so much

We have had a pretty terrible year this last year. Let's see. DH's brother died unexpectedly last year, DH's sister started battling a drug and alcohol addiction....well that was before his brother died, but she is still drinking....DFather had a stroke, which he fully recovered from, and from check ups due to the stroke, we found out he has lymphoma.....1st it was the good kind, then not so good....we have probably only another couple of years with him. Then my last living grandmother died, then DH was laid off of work.......that's all I think..... :rotfl:

We're pitiful....I moved here 3 years ago, and I knew no one except DH and his family. I haven't been really good about making friends, just my co-workers and a couple of DD's friends moms, so I guess that is why I am drawn here. Did I tell you that I met DH online?

So how well do you know all the others here??
You and Bonnie are the 2 I talk to the most. I used to talk to Tricia and Joanne all the time on the chick thread. Everyone else I have only recently started talking to, so I don't know them all that well.

Really? I think Kim did too...................that's pretty neat.

We moved into this house a year ago.........and everyone works all the time. I can't make friends with the stay at home moms because they get together while I'm working...............

Before that we lived in the neighborhood my school is in..............and that's a really good reason not to be friends with neighbors.

My only friends are actually coworkers..........I've only been to one's house.

Bonnie's great. I like Tricia, and have only recently been able to talk with her much. I don't get to talk to Joanne much at all, but I"m trying to change that.......her and Teresa...........

I used to talk to Denise and Mindy a lot in summer, not so much now.

My neighborhood is fairly cliquish, so I shy away from that. I have 2 coworkers that I work very closely with, but they have been friends for a long time, and I am usually the odd man out. Fortunately, I don't need a lot of friends, and I am ok with just hanging out once in a blue moon. It is kind of bad to say, but I would rather DIS with you guys than hang out with IRL folks.

Me too..............

Does that make us anti social? :teeth:
Probably. Especially since we like to stir up trouble on here...........and talk about other people.

Were you a solitary child? Did you like to be alone?

Yes and no. I was perfectly ok being by myself. But if others were around I was perfectly ok being with them. I didn't initiate a lot of friendships, but if they came to me, I was open to it.

Yeah, I probably should head to bed....
If you want..............

Thanks for staying up..........usually me and Cy and Kim...........guess Cy is sick and I don't know about Kim.

But they are usually gone by now.

No problem. I practically slept all day...If I don't get to bed though, I'll end up staying up all night and get turned around....
