Sorry, I should have used my words!

Nevermind! I see where your update is on her. Is there any way you could bring coffee or dinner over one night? Does she live close enough by? What about planning a little "date" for the two of you?paigevz said:Just while I'm waiting for someone to join me, I am worried about my mother. She seems really depressed. Now I know she has a lot to deal with and you'd expect some upsets, but she says she'll "never" get better and she hates being dependent on others. She's supposed to be able to use her left leg (the hip replacement) within a couple weeks, and the right (broken ankle) in about 2 months. That's a long time, but she's at the halfway point now, and at least is out of the hospital. She cries over little things...........she couldn't understand my brother on the telephone because she couldn't hear him well, and she cried. She cried because she couldn't find her pen one day. When she's not crying, she has very few moments when she's happy and visiting those who are there.............in the past, visiting with family was her greatest joy. Now, she escapes into a book or into correspondence. She only enjoyed talking with my son for a few minutes at the end of our trip this time...........other than that she pretty much ignored him...........that's COMPLETELY unlike her, her grandchildren are her life.
I think she needs a mood elevator. I told her to talk to her dr. about it, but she said he treats her like she's being a baby about stuff (not sure if it might be her perception). So I wrote a note about my concerns (the crying, not finding enjoyment in what she used to, and her hands trembling when she gets upset.........I just noticed that today when she was on the phone about their business taxes). I asked her to give the note to the dr. I hope he'll do something.
She was supposed to go to the dr. tomorrow, but they can't find transportation for her, so she is cancelling the appointment, she said. She has to have a wheelchair accessible van to get there, and there are only a few available for seniors in the area.............they can't tie it up for a day to take her and bring her home (it's 2 hours over and 2 hours back). So anyway, I don't know when she'll go.
So, should I worry that this is more than simple frustration? And what can I do besides call every day?
for her!TheDisneyTraveler06 said:Nevermind! I see where your update is on her. Is there any way you could bring coffee or dinner over one night? Does she live close enough by? What about planning a little "date" for the two of you?for her!
Your Welcome Paige. I know lots of movies that start great and end terribly. I'm beginning to feel a little better, but I'm worried about DD, she keeps saying that her stomach hurts and she thinks she is going to throw up. I hope she feels better in the morning.paigevz said:Bonnie, I go back tomorrow.
Mary! You are the best!
