bonnie- you still a doctor this week?

Yes, unless I'm feeling better.

What are your plans today, Muffy?

I just told DH that I don't want to go to the game. So he's going to take the girls. I guess the promotion today is the first 10,000 (I forget the exact number) kids who arrive will get a free Build-A-Bear. My girls love those things!

Minty! How are you doing? It's great to see you!

I'm doing ok. hanging in there. I slept in a little which is cool. I'm going to check that thread out. Hope its good stuff

Bonnie what a nice thread! You are always so great at creating the best threads. Thank you so much for the nice words. I think you are an especially fabulous gal!
As are all my Mad Chatter friends!

Of course it's good stuff! Everybody like you, Minty!

What are you up to today? How's your arm(s)?

DBF is brewing beer right now, but we may go up to the suburbs later for Oktoberfest-if it doesn't rain too bad

my arms are ok. I am still perplexed as to what I should do. The quarter here starts a week from tomorow, which is a busy season. I don't want to be away and incapacitated for the first day! But I also can't wait too long because DBF will be gone..I have it scheduled for Oct. 6 but have found out that DBF will have to be out of town all day on the 7th. The rules state that someone needs to be with me the first 24 hours. The 29th wouldn't really work because choir starts and there is a lot to do that weekend. Its just such a bad time!!
but enough of my whining. How are YOU?

Sorry you are in such a quandry. I hope you find a solution that works out well for you.

As for me, I am home all by myself today! I didn't want to go to the Nationals game with my family because I just don't feel up to riding that metro, which always makes me nauseous. So I'll probably get some movie-watching and book-reading in.

I just saw your nice comments on that thread. Thank you! You are the best! :goodvibes

sounds like a nice relaxing day. I'm sure you need a few of those.
Hows work going? still want to quit?

Yes! I like the kids a lot more, but it's just really challenging because there are so many in one room and they just feed off each other. Plus we have some that have special needs and some that just haven't been raised right.

We had a set of demanding parents yelling at us on Friday and that made me mad. I wanted to tell them if they aren't satisfied they should take their son somewhere else. But I would have gotten into trub.

I told Brent I might ask to just work half days. He said fine with him, but I don't know how work would feel about that.

Do you enjoy your job?

ack it doesn't work well with my comp. The drags refuse to drag for me-so I only got 20. So frustrating. I know I'm better than that-really I am. I promise! I'm not fibbing... ;)

:rotfl: Sure! A likely tale! :rotfl:

Are you on a laptop?

Sorry to hear about all the problems. I find it very strange that special needs kids are in the same class as kids that aren't. I don't ever remember a time where they put us together. Better for the sp.needs kids too. Little kids can be so mean to each other. Perhaps you could find another school? Maybe the setup would be better. I don't think they would be too jazzed about you wanting to go part time, because that would mean they'd have to pay salary and benefits to another person to cover the 2nd half of the day. It may not work for them financially.

I do enjoy my job. I feel very lucky to have a boss who is more than that, she is a friend and we are confidants to each other. Even though she is several year older than me, I think on some level we understand each other. With the coming year being so uncertain in my personal life, I am glad to know that I can count on my job and her to be there. I can't say I look forward to going in every day, but its a good job and I like who I work with. I am fortunate to be able to say that

just read my Typo ("I likely tale"), so I went back and fixed it, but you already quoted me!! Oh well, I tried! ;)

You are SO lucky to have a job you like. It makes a huge difference.

DH thinks that my yakkiness has to do with my dislike of my job; he thinks it's stress. He does not think I"m PG. Never know, he could be right.
