Hello, I'm back.

So glad there is no school tomorrow! I am not ready to jump back in yet. Thankfully, Nick's school is in, and Luke's daycare will be open of course, but I take a computer class in the AM, and meet with a team of second grade teachers from around the district in the PM. I think I was supposed to bring something to the meeting.........I will have to remember what it is! Something we do in class.............hmm............
I have 3 more computer classes to take and then I'm done. We were all required to have 18 hours, and my deadline is Dec. I still either have to test out of the next two or take them.
Our first reading test that is reported to the state starts its testing window Wed. We'll see just how far we have to go........I think my class is actually further along in general than the other classes. Our curriculum involves dividing the children into three main skill groups, and weighting the numbers in each....for example, I teach the group that is missing the most skills, and we keep it down to 13 max children..........Anyway, most of my class goes to the group who are working on the middle of the year 2nd grade skills (so they are above where they need to be).....I just have 3 in the group working on end of first/beginning second, and then 2 in my group which is anywhere from mid-1st down to beginning K skills.
BIL had Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever.............he was released from the hospital the day we got there.....he'd been in for 5 days. They've moved his wife's due date up to the 12th from the 27th of October, and they schedule the Caesareans 10 days prior, so now instead of a C for the 17th, it's scheduled for the 2nd. They know it's a boy (my 3rd nephew), but are still trying to agree on a name.
Mom is okay, doing her PT, but not very happy, but I call in the late afternoons.........I have a feeling she'd be more chipper in the am..........by then the pain is grating on her and a long tiring day of PT. Thanks everybody for keeping her in your thoughts!
Wonder what Mindy is doing RIGHT NOW?
