Hey guys, let me ask your opinion...............my schedule is REALLY tight with all the programs we need to get in. I will have 15-25 minutes in the morning and 10 in the afternoon open.

I thought Spelling in the big block and handwriting in the little one, but a 3rd grade teacher told me to do handwriting big and spelling little. She says they'll learn to spell by reading and writing, but if the handwriting doesn't come together while they're young, it never will.

What do you think?

I'm going to agree with the teacher. Writing thing out over and over really helps me to learn to spell words. So I would do handwriting big and spelling little

Yeah I bet its tough to transistion back to having so much to do! When will you find out about the Business position?

Probably tomorrow. I'm sure they want that squared away as soon as possible. Maybe I'll bring donuts in with me in the a.m.

You may be right Mindy. I wonder if they'd be more engaged in trying to do their handwriting well too? They may really get more into that, as it's not so much thought first thing.................then Spelling towards the end, fresh in their mind, so when parents say, "What did you do today?" maybe, just maybe, instead of "nothin'", they'll say, "I learned to spell clock."

Well, g'night...........gotta be up early for Luke's 3rd day of prekindergarten! He likes it, but doesn't like getting up in the morning.

Okay one more quicky. He's 14, just started HS and thinks no one likes him. I am drained!!! I am his biggest and I just had to get him back on track. We will definitely talk more tomorrow. The screen is getting blurry.

Just checking in, and wondering why we are on page 2??????
I must be the only one up, just packing and wanted to see who all was here. I am going to read back and see what I missed.. I read some already, and just wanna congratulate my buddies Denise and Bonnie on their post counts!!!! I hate I missed the party!!! I hope it was super fun...
Ok, reading back now!!! Night all, I will try to check in in the morning before we leave on my latest get rich quick scheme....(I have them all the time, they haven't worked yet, so chances are I will be back, without being a millionaire!!)

We are leaving tomorrow for WI for an entire week. Dh has training there and my family lives there. Lucky for us, some friends from church think our house is a great place to hang out so they offered to house/dog sit for us and stay overnight with the dog (I hate to board him...I am much happier with someone staying with him).

I need to sleep...I am so very tired. I just wanted to pop on and say that I may not get a chance to get online there very often and I will miss you guys...

AND to tell you that everything worked out with my dentist. Refund CHECK. Missed work completed CHECK (for free). Thank you all for your kind words and for being so supportive. I am happy, it is over and I am so tired I cannot see straight...but I didn't want to sneak off without a "see you in a week".

OH OH OH and the best news. Jason's soccer team went undefeated this season and tonight was the championship (for the summer indoor season) and they won the tournament/season without a loss and Jason was named MVP of the tournament and co MVP of the season. He was so happy... I am so happy for him, his smile when they got the trophy and put on the champions shirts was so huge. They have won tournaments and finished on top of seasons before...and Jason has even been MVP of a tournament once before...but this was his first "magic" season where everything came together all at the same time and the hard work paid off. This is the first time a "non coaches" child has ever gotten a double MVP award. I am so excited for him. He went to bed smiling from ear to ear tonight. I guess I don't even feel like complaining about all of the driving and practice and money we waste on it right now!! Tomorrow I will have plenty of time for that!!

Well, goodnight and I will try to get online while at my family's house but the connection will be terrible (it always is) so I cannot count on anything.

I will miss you, my wonderful Mad Chatter friends!!
