wow T! 3:15am?!?! I admire your drive. At 3:15 I was still snoozing blissfully away.
Hi all you lovely chatters. Hope the last two days were super special. It was for us. We went to the german christmas market yesterday in the Chicago Loop and it was great! Its an outdoor market so we froze our bonbons off but there was awesome german food and hot spiced wine to keep us warm! My dad came down for the occasion and was freezing the worst, but I think he had a good time.
Then we went to Macy's to see the big tree and that was an adventure! Talk about a sea of humanity. Maybe I should rethink that one for next year. But hey its all good.
Hope the rest of your weekends will go swimmingly-full of yummy leftover turkey! I just love turkey sandwiches. Eat one or three for me! We had duck for thanksgiving instead of turkey and DBF's brother took the last of it home with him. Oh well. But it was really tasty!

I sure am missing all you Hag-types! Hope you're having a wonderful holiday weekend. I worked on Friday, went to my writer's circle this morning and have been cleaning house today.

Tonight!! Is the BIG Border War football game between K U (Kansas) and MU (Missouri)!
A really BIG deal here in Kansas City with almost everyone choosing a side.
Personally I hope KU takes it, mainly because ds has a bet with a friend and if KU loses he has to get a buzz cut... kinda cold for winter!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I think I consumed a weeks worth of calories within a 24 hour period. I may be morphing into a piece of pie as you read this!

Hi Chatters!!

I hope everyone had a nice Turkey Day and survived Black Friday! DH and I were up and on the road by 3:15am. Now, you may want to know what excellent deal we were hoping to get. Well, I'm here to tell you that we did it just for the mere fun of it! I did get some toys for a discounted price, but nothing really to crow about. We had fun and were home with all of Drew's gifts wrapped by noon. We just have the rest of the family to finish up, and that should be wiped out in one afternoon shopping trip.

We may go see Enchanted today and put up the tree this evening. I have the outside of the house decorated, but I now need to get DH to bring the tree up!

Hey, I was right there with you! Well, a few states away, and a different time zone. But I was on the road with half of B'ham at 3:15. I ended up going to JC Penney's where I got Syd a $180 coat for $65!! Ok, truth be known, I think it was marked up to look good, cause it looks to be worth about $65. But whatever, she's happy, and it felt like I was getting a steal. Other than that, no big sales for me either. Just lots of standing in line and *****ing about how slow service was. But we do it every year, so it just wouldn't be the same without it.

I'm baaaaack! We had a good trip, although I missed my oldest DD terribly!! Poor baby had to stay here in la casa de loco whilst her sister and I escaped south. But she has an amazing ability to tune all things out, so she managed well.

I hope everyone had a good Holiday and hopefully I'll get to chat soon.

Oh, and as a side note. Everyone take a moment of silence. It is a sad sad day in America. Hulk Hogan's wife has filed for divorce. And it was front page on AOL.

Good afternoon, Chatters! Looks like my upset stomach yesterday is actually some kind of stomach virus or flu. It is spreading thru my class like wildfire! Four kids are out with it today and two others had it over the Thanksgiving break. So I am working today anyway, since I'll be out all next week and I don't dare miss a day this week. So I'm spreading my germs to the healthy kids!

Hello Chatters!!

Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving!
We had a nice day and weekend.

We did end up going to the MK late Friday night since it was open until midnight, even though the DIS had the hours listed until 1:00 AM @@. I love the way they light up the castle now!!

We loved ICE at Gaylord Palms, it's really a must see attraction. Just don't go on a Saturday of a holiday weekend. lol

We also went to Celebration, I just love it there. It's all decked out for the holidays, but the snow doesn't start until next weekend, even though their flyer said it starts Nov. 23rd.

We ate at Trails End at FW, haven't been there in years. It was good and it was nice to see everyone's campsites decked out for Christmas.

We attempted the Prime Outlets on Sunday, but it was packed, so we headed out and stopped at the ones south of Tampa on the way home. They were just as packed @@. So, no shopping was accomplished.
We made it home to see the Patriot's win again

Hi my wonderful Chatter Friends! I just wanted to take a minute and let you all know, my dad lost his battle with cancer today. He was 82 years old, and today was actually my parents 52nd wedding anniversary. My daddy lived a wonderful life. He was a Methodist Minister and was still preaching in 2 churches every Sunday up until he was diagnosed with cancer back on July 13. Please keep my mom in your prayers as she begins to face her life without her life partner, my dad was such a rock for all of us and we are certainly moving into a difficult time. Thanks for all the prayers that you have already said for him and my family, please continue to pray that we all find peace in this.
