Well, I'm not really sure. It was only 12 degrees today/last night. DH got up and left for work and the thermostat was set at 69 degrees and it was working fine. He left at 5:45. At 6:14, it made a weird noise outside like a leaf caught in the fan blades, then it wouldn't shut off. And the temp in the house steadily declined. I watched it go from 69 at 6:00 to 63 by 7:00, I put it on Emergency heat hoping that would work and it was blowing freezing air. Something about the heat strips not heating up. We just put this in 18 mos. ago, it is very frustrating. But they rigged it to work tonight, and will fix for real tomorrow while DH is here.

That blows (ha ha ha ha..pun totally intended). Is it still under warranty?

WOW that is cold. I would be mad if it didn't work after 18 months too

The parts are, but we called the guy who installed it, DH is making do it pro bono!!! Apparently it was a problem with installation.

I'm glad that's all it is. I have a few friends who have them, my mom has them too, but her's came on after she had my sister back in 1965. She has had to deal with them for a long time.

PAIGE...now you know how to combat the pain! Hopefully this will help everything seem a bit better...getting out of sheer agony always seems to put better spin on things.

24 years before I went to the dr. for it. And he says I'm normal. Now I ask you, what normal person waits 24 years????

YOU...you are normal...just a tad bit forgetful of taking care of YOURSELF...other people being taken care of...you are on top of that...you...not so much. BUT...it's better then being self centered!

Paige, you are just like the rest of us. You put the needs of your family first and worry about yourself last. Unfortunately, that has a tendency to make matters worse. I am glad you were able to get something for it. Now maybe life will have a better quality for you. Because it can't be good living with that much pain.
