It can cost similar to 7 day at Disney. There are different categories on the boat in different price ranges.

The food is really good. The sodas are included. The restaurants are really cool too.:thumbsup2

There's no buffet, correct? it's all sit down meals (with some exceptions, such as room service and poolside eateries...)??

Ithink I'd feel like I was suffocating if i had an inside stateroom. Gah, that darned clausterphobia. I'd need something with a balcony and those are probably expensive.

Pickle Puss....my DS wants to know why Tinkerbell can't get her butt through the keyhole (your siggy). :rotfl2:

Well, obviously her womanly curves are a little well.. womanly for the key hole.;) Either that or she ate one too many pickles?

Hey new comers! How is everyone this fine evening?

Everyone is rooting for the Buckeyes right?....RIGHT?!? Don't make me lay the smack down on anyone!!

There are breakfast buffets and I think some of the lunches are buffet.

There are staterooms with large port holes and there's some with navigator's verrandahs...It's a separate enclosed sitting area with a window.

Also, the time of the year that you go impacts on the cost.

I'm going to butt in. DCL is VERY expensive, but it's all about you preferences. When at WDW do you stay deluxe? Would you have to have a balcony on the ship? DCL costs about $400/night for 2 people. And costs just keep going up. But nobody does it better than DCL.

So DCL can cost the same as WDW depending on how much you usually spend at WDW.

Cost is a definite factor, but every now and then, one should live a little. I appreciate the candor about the prices.

PS: I'm married to a great man, but sometimes he watches the pocketbook a little too closely, ya know? LOL I want to take a cruise, but I certainly don't want it to be the first and last.

You should go to the Disney website and get a quote for some days that might interest you to get an idea of the price. Depending on when you are looking at going, you can get a pretty good idea.

When might you go?

There's is a buffet, I think on the 7 nighters. I can't remember.

I know this is really bad around here, but you can sail through other cruise lines to the same places for about half of DCL. They are older ships (for the 3 or 4 nighters) but if you've never cruised and money is an issue at all, I would consider Royal Carribean and the Soverign of the Seas. www.cruisecritic.com is an awesome sight for comparing cruises and getting lots of info.

Well, this year is out as far as a DCL vacation goes; we want to go to WDW for 5-7 nights, but I wouldn't say no to a 12/08 cruise. I see alot of people talking about going on a winter cruise....

Thanks for the link--and I will definitely check out the DCL site! :)
