The Mad Chatters thread Part 12

The short version is...my DH's job is the pits, he's had a drastic pay cut for the last 6-7 months, we had to cancel our spring break trip to Universal and WDW, my DH is job hunting, but so far hasn't found another job, his company owes him 40K in various commisions, etc, my chronic migraines are at their peak, I'm having my gallbladder out on Wednesday, and I'm likely depressed (no great surprise with everything that's going on).

I honestly don't know what I would do without my PMS buddies. They are to me what you all are like to each other and they've really helped me get through this tough time. What's the saying...A friend in need is a friend indeed.

Truer words were never spoken Tig. I am glad you have your buddies to help you through. I can sympathize with the pay cut and the gallbladder thing. I have been through both. True friends are few and far between and it is great to be able to connect with them in this forum.

My husband is ill and getting worse. He now has 4 different diagnoses. We spent Christmas Eve explaining to his family. We tried to forget about it on Christmas Day, but it was difficult. He spent much of NYE in bed at my brother's house in New Orleans.

No words can express what I'm feeling, sweetie. I can't even imagine the emotions you must be feeling, Paige. I am so sorry.

Chatters!!!:grouphug:

it seems like forever since I've been here!

How is everyone?

OMG, Tig, I am so sorry....and to top all this off, you are having your gallbladder out on Wed...OMG... are you having the laproscopic (?) surgery for the gb???

And those headaches, YIKES, I have a DS that suffers horrible with them and it pains me when he is in pain.

And DH's job, but Tig, just when you think you have hit rock bottom, things start to look up, yes they really do.

Just to come on the DIS and vent, vent to your friends, is so therapeutic, it really is. Keeping it all bottled up is not good. VENT, RAMBLE, CHAT, TALK, DISCUSS, it is alllll good. And maybe it won't make everything all better, but to just put it out there, helps you to sort through it all.

A friend in need is def a friend indeed as well as GOD working in mysterious ways and I am not the overly religious type but prayer has always helped me!!!

TIG,

I hear ya. Things have finally settled down here after the holidays. Back to the humdrum of everyday life. How was your holidays?

Our holidays were...humdrum!:rotfl:

We really didn't do much, just spent time together, but that was very nice. I took some time off from work and we had lots of time to spend with each other. I didn't want to go back to work:sad2:

How were yours?

under a rock! :rotfl:

Good to see you, Kar!!

How was your trip to Europe?

Ahh Denise, I thought maybe you forgot about us over her on MH's or something like that..........

Europe was FABULOUS. Everyone HAS to get to Europe sooner or later!! London was amazing, Paris I absolutely LOVED...Paris I will be back to for sure. The styles, the shopping, the clothes, the people, the food, the art...the city is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could never forget you all!!!:grouphug:

It's just been weird lately...with wasabi and the holidays and regular life stuff. I felt bad about not coming here, and then I felt guilty about missing out on everyone...so I avoided for a little while.

But, today, I realized I was being stupid and needed to come say hi to all of you!

We all missed you and we love talking to you and we want you here with us as much as you can be!!!!

This is it for me. Maybe take down my Christmas tree. I was waiting on the epiphany (I think that is what Cy said) :rolleyes1

Speaking of Christmas, has anyone taken advantage of the after Christmas sales at any stores? DH and I went to Target and bought a fake Christmas tree for %50 off, and wrapping paper, decorations, etc...We're having it at our house next year. My house will look very festive for it! :goodvibes

:rotfl:

want to come take our tree down?;)

we finally got it decorated on Christmas Eve...the day after Christmas we noticed that the bottom string of lights seemed to have gone out:confused3 only to discover (two days after Christmas) that our loveable Christmas light eating Sally-dog decided to snack on a blue light.

So, the tree got to enjoy it's glory for all of about 72 hours. And now it's time to undecorate it.
