Well, I think a shower is in order. Apparently my stench has even affected me here, so that is some pretty powerful stuff!

It was good talking to you again D2 and DL, don't be a stranger!

Bye Steph!!

Hiya Trisha!

Hi Denise and Teresa! I'm just getting ready to hop in the shower, but I thought I would check in here first!

it must be a man thing...

but, there is NO WAY I'm starting that task! It's a losing battle!:rotfl:

My DH grew up with parents that are SLOBS!!! Nice people, but their house is FILTHY. DH has come a LONG way, but he's still messy. We have our own nightstands. One on my side of the bed, DH's on the other. Mine is neat and tidy, DH's is messy and with clutter all over it. I cringe when I see it. DH just says to worry about my own side. I guess that makes sense. :confused3

Good to see you again, Trisha!!

I so need to get off the boards and do some stuff today...but I find once I get started here, it's hard to pull myself away!

But lunch is starting to sound good!!:rotfl:

Oh...you would go nuts in our house.

We have three dogs...in a fairly small house. It's hard to keep up.

Plus, when DH moved in, we sold the house he and his parents had lived in for 40 years. There was A LOT of stuff. We managed to put a good bit of it in storage, but there's still a lot that ended up here. We have a lot of boxes of stuff.

We want to go through it, but it's hard. He doesn't seem to have any sentimental connection to any of it (both his parents passed before we met), but I have a hard time just tossing some of it.

OMG, Tig, I am so sorry....and to top all this off, you are having your gallbladder out on Wed...OMG... are you having the laproscopic (?) surgery for the gb???

And those headaches, YIKES, I have a DS that suffers horrible with them and it pains me when he is in pain.

And DH's job, but Tig, just when you think you have hit rock bottom, things start to look up, yes they really do.

Just to come on the DIS and vent, vent to your friends, is so therapeutic, it really is. Keeping it all bottled up is not good. VENT, RAMBLE, CHAT, TALK, DISCUSS, it is alllll good. And maybe it won't make everything all better, but to just put it out there, helps you to sort through it all.
A friend in need is def a friend indeed as well as GOD working in mysterious ways and I am not the overly religious type but prayer has always helped me!!!

TIG,
I agree, but I also have a husband who thinks that I shouldn't ask for the advice and support of "strangers" and that I should come to him for the support, even though he's clueless and gets angry at me for not handling things. :sad2: Trust me, I could go on and on... but I'll stop.

Dogs can definitely keep houses dirty. We have a terrier/daschund mix. On top of that we babysit our friend's terrier mix every day when he goes to work. Even though they're potty trained, once in a while they'll go pee in the house if it's too cold to go outside. .........:furious: The other night I stepped in a pile of it in the computer room and I was NOT happy about it. We punish them when we catch them, but they still do it. :confused3

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

We have a large house, however, we have 4 kids (who thankfully are older and can help out), 2 hairy dogs and 4 cats. So much hair! :rotfl: It's why I'm so in love with my Roomba. :teeth:

Thanks, hiway. :) I know that you've heard a fair amount of my venting.

We chalk that up to accidents. Or it's our fault for not paying better attention. It happens. Most of the time it happens when we aren't there or when we are sleeping...and then, all you can do is clean it up and invest in a decent steam cleaner.

Our biggest problem is the fur from Daisy. Love the golden mix, but there is so much hair!:rotfl:

We don't care, it's just us and we keep it comfortable for us, but I know it would freak some people out.

Hi Teresa! I'm killing time until it is time to leave for the movies. I missed the one I had planned on going to, cause my hair appt. took longer than I thought. I'm leaving in 20 minutes.

How has your day been going?

:goodvibes Good, thanks for asking. It's 11:30 and the phone hasn't even rang once yet. What movie are you going to see? You're so lucky you get to go!!!! How did your hair appt go?

Hair appt. went okay. Got a weave refreshment and a cut. It looks pretty good. I think I'm going to find another hair dresser though. I don't care for her personality and she doesn't listen when I tell her what I want. Don't ask me why I still tipped her $25. :confused3 (my bill was $135, so that tip wasn't too far out of the question, if I liked the girl). Still, it looks pretty good, so it wasn't a waste of time or anything. My lady in Vegas was MUCH more professional and more competent and she charged a lot less too!

I'm going to see Dream Girls.

So it's pretty slow at work, huh?

Yikes, it's time to leave for the movie. Have a good one, Teresa!!

Come talk to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH took DS bowling :lmao: and I am home all alone. :cool1: I am sitting here with a cup of coffee, burning a yummy candle and enjoying the peace and quiet! I told them to stay out as long as they want!!!!! :rotfl2:

Hello! Just home from the movies. Trisha, are you still around?
