The LUCKY Muffin Spoke to Me - Halloween at WDW & Summer 2011 at DLR - 01/09/11

Hi! I'm a little late to this party but I MAY have just spent a good portion of my afternoon/evening catching up. lol!

I know there were a ton of things I was going to comment on but I can't remember all of them. (terrible memory and I had to take a break for a while to make dinner) For now I'll just say that it sounds like you've got an AWESOME trip planned. And I can't wait to hear about DL too! We spent our honeymoon there last October and it was a blast.

Anyway, I'm along for the ride here and can't wait to see how this all pans out!

I'm glad to hear that your cat's doing better! My dog has a chronic hip problem (arthritis and dysplasia), so I get how it sucks when your pet's hurting :( I hope your practice test went well, too :)

Thank you all of your suggestions on the QSDP!! DH and I are going to try to sit down soon and go over the pricing on what we think we would order to see if it is worth it!

Thanks also for the good thoughts towards my kitty! She is doing much, much better and getting back to her diva self!

I'm hoping to get an update done and catch up on everyone's PTRs tonight! My LSAT is in two months, and I'm taking a prep class, so I haven't had much spare time to get online! I have a (4 hour) practice test today at 4:00pm, and will hopefully be back afterwards!

I want to thank you all in advance for hanging in there with me, too! It's going to be a very, very busy two months. I have my class/at-home study time, and I'm beginning my applications too. (I'm taking the entire day off tomorrow just to start working on those!) I'm going to try to keep up here as much as I can, though!

My LSAT is October 9, and I'm hoping to have my applications done right around that time, too. After that, I'll be back up and running with full-force Disney 24/7 as I'm sure I'll need a break by then (or, locked in a padded room after the loony thoughts that occur due to LSAT prep.)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!
i agree, sit down and review some of the menus and prices and see if it is truly a good value or not. If you can use the snacks for F&W, then it might be worth doing it! i can't wait to hear all about F&W!!! We are going to book an Oct trip for next year.

how did your prep class/test go? October 9th will be here before we know it and all the studying, long nights and nerves will be over with!! Keep up the studying and just shoot me an email anytime you want a break to talk disney! lol :surfweb::thumbsup2

yeah for kitty! :cat: i know how furrbabies are like our babies!

(mine were until the real baby came along, now they are so mistreated! lol)

BACK! Finally caught up again!

I'm so glad your fur baby is okay. I hate when pets are sick..especially since they can't really talk about what's wrong!!

As for the QSDP...it seems like there are SO many snack credits and I wouldn't know what to do with them....but if F&W booths do take them then it might actually be a great idea!!!

Thank you to everyone that is still hanging in here with me!

I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to update at all, and have fallen behind on everyone's PTRs. I'm trying really hard to get caught up tonight!

This last week was a tough one for us; the (new) center that we were hoping would become full time for DH's tutoring actually cancelled the English program. He received his final pay check (not a bonus or anything, just the check for the last hours he worked there) and a post-it that said "Thanks for all of the teaching you did for us!" Yeah, that's how he found out he got laid off. What the heck?! (Does anyone watch SATC? Do you remember when Carrie got dumped with a post-it note? That's definitely how DH feels.)

I'm getting to the point where I'm REALLY stressed out with everything that I have to get done for law school; my LSAT date is October 9, and I need to get my applications done by the time we leave for WDW on October 23. I'm team captain for a Race for the Cure team, which takes place on October 16.

So, there isn't anything new on the WDW or DLR planning fronts. Since DLR is booked for next June, there won't be any planning going on with that at all until after my applications are in. As of now, there's nothing new for WDW, but I'll have a few small things here and there since that one is coming up soon.

I'll update as I can though, and I really hope you all stick around with me!!

ETA - I can't believe I forgot this!! But, my mom bought me a "You're Done with the LSAT!" gift and definitely gave it to me early after the rough week that we've had. I now own a B-E-A-UTIFUL new Mac Book!!! I'm grounded from it though; ahem, I grounded myself. I have around 12 hours of LSAT prep that need to be done this weekend; I got half of it done today, and will get the other half done tomorrow. But until then, I'm not allowing myself to even touch the box! I'm so excited to test it out (hopefully tomorrow night) and get it all set to go for law school next year!!

I'm not going anywhere! I hope your DH finds something else soon  My dad's been out of work going on four years now, so I totally empathise. I also hope that your law school to-do list goes by easily and with as little stress as possible. I have to make a run over to my school to see why the heck they put me on academic probation, but thankfully I'm not going back to school until January, so it can wait :lmao:

 But yeah, I'm not going anywhere :) Still hoping to meet you two at WDW!

Thanks for sticking around!!

DH has been looking for a full-time teaching job for a few years now; it's just awful out there. I've seen how hard it is to even find a job in the legal industry now, so I'm hoping that improves by the time I graduate!

Sending pixie dust to your dad, too!!

I will be toting my LGMH everywhere, so definitely say hi!!

Lucky!!! I want a mac book! Oh well, I'm happy with the Sony Vaio I got for my birthday. Good luck with all the law school stuff!

No problem :) I get bored at night, what else am I gonna do but read TRs and PTRs? :LMAO:

My dad's a carpenter, and I know several people looking for nursing positions, so it's hard all over :(

I may have to go pick one up and pin it to my purple bag :teeth:

Oh, and yay for the Macbook! That's such an awesome gift!

You know I'm not going anywhere! I'm so sorry about DH's job...that really stinks. I know the perfect teaching job for him is out there somewhere! And whoever hires him is going to be very lucky! :goodvibes

I can't imagine how stressed you must be right now with everything you've got going on, but just keep telling yourself that in just a few months you will be at WDW with all of this LSAT stuff behind you having a wonderful time with your DH at MNSSHP!! :)

Congrats again on your new Mac Book! That is so awesome! :thumbsup2

Ughhhh, I'm so sorry about your DH being laid off. And on a post it! I definitely remember that SATC, I love that episode! :rotfl: I hope he finds something soon, I know it's hard for teachers, my friend has been looking for over 2 years, she's an art teacher and can't find anything right now. :(

Congrats on your Mac Book!!! :goodvibes And try not to get too stressed out with everything you have going on!!

Ugh, that sucks that he got laid off...and by post-it note?? How unprofessional! The two of us are both getting laid off sometime next year and the job market is terrible. If I want to get a job that I actually like, I need to be able to travel to NYC. We are too far from there where we live now and we can't afford to live anywhere closer to the city because it's just too expensive. So chances are good that we are both going to get stuck in jobs we hate again, just so we can pay the bills.

Yay for the Mac Book, though! My sister got one a few years ago and loves it (she's also in law school BTW!). I want to get a laptop to replace my desktop...maybe when we come back from WDW....

We're almost there!!!!!!! :hyper:

I'm still reading!!!

It sounds like you guys have had a rough week. I'll deffinetly be keeping you guys in my thoughts and prayers.:goodvibes

Ugh, sorry to hear about your rough week. I hope your DH finds a fantastic new job soon!

Good for you for resisting the temptation to play with your new toy! With self control like that, you're gonna be just fine in prepping for the LSAT!

So sorry about your DH-- it's awful now, but a friend of mine just got a job teaching, with amazing pay. It CAN and WILL happen!
A Macbook is a pretty sweet gift! Kudos to you for being so dedicated to studying for your LSAT! I'm sure you'll doing amazingly!
