It's scary how well you know me sometimes. That is exactly where my brain went with that.

I'm a bad, bad girl.

I chuckled too....you and I were separated at birth!

Linty...you are leading the riddle!

Shore....

let me know if you have any ?'s - my brother has been working/doing fish tanks for about 8 years now as well as owning about 6 of them currently.

Happy,

Do you start your new hours today?

Shore,

You need to get out the Aqua Net and eyeliner for that game.

Working as we speak :goodvibes Although I would normally be leaving now....I will be here till 3PM then home for 2 hours then back to job #2 from 5PM-10PM - although tonight is my only night to work this week

Definitely will be weird NOT working at night!

That is great! I hope the transition goes well for you. You know that just means more time for your DIS friends. :woohoo:

morning losers!

Sorry to hear you're sick 3P. I just got over mine and now DS has it. DH will probably get it later this week but I won't have to listen to him whine because he'll be in DC:laughing:. Aren't I compassionate?

  to Shay--thinking about you this morning! I will go post on the other thread, too.

About that thread--your kids calling you--why does it always have to be the kids who call?:confused3 Why can't the parents call the kids sometimes. DH's family is weird that way. WE always have to call THEM and then We always have to drive to visit them, but apparently the phone lines and roadds only go onw way:confused3 It's very frustrating that they get mad at him for not calling/visiting when they rarely do it wither. Yesterday was DD's bday and only her 2 grandmothers called. Everyone else was busy, I am sure, but we thought maybe the aunts/uncles and Papa would call her--is that too much to expect? Ok, vent over

I have my kids home for one more day so I am still in my pajamas (yes, at 10:30 in the morning!) and I will be until I have to get ready to go to a meeting at DD's school (apparently I was volunteerred to help with the Underground Railroad project at the Jr High tomorrrow. Sounds like fun, actually)

IAHD--Are you DISing from work??:rolleyes1

My bad mom story happened yesterday too. Ds10 has this book report due where he has to make these elaborate postcards, so we have been working on it here and there and yesterday he tells me he "forgot" a major step. Errr well I had looked on the sheet the teacher had given at the beg of the year that lists all their project and I am thinking the project is due tomorrow (Tues) so I flip out on him, I tell him he is goign have to work on it all day Easter and all day today (his day off), he cant forget steps blah blah.

He forgets to tell me until about an hour later after I was flippin out and all concerned and trying to get him organized that she gave them until NEXT Monday bc of Easter. She didnt realize when Easter was when she originally made up the due dates.

So here I am, getting all of us stressed and we have a week. I mean he still cant forget steps and he still needs to work on it but a week is much differnt than tomorrow. I felt horrible.

If it makes you feel any better, this is exactly what happens to us at least 2 times during the school year. He has a project or something, he forgets to tell me something..I flip out and threaten to work him all weekend-it's gotta get done, right... It always works out and then you feel like crap..

I don't like to wait until the last minute to do school work (house work is another story..) I have always been that way..DS10 is the opposite, he would rather do it on the last day possible..we butt heads a lot...Mine is bigger.

I'm with you both! My DS 10 was assigned a project early in the year for his HAL program (High Ability Learner) It is an on0your-own thing and supposed to be presented to the group this spring. Well, a sheet came home in Feb asking me to sign that he's making progress, etc. and I asked where it was. He had chosen to make a lego movie and had written about 1/2 notebook page of a script!:scared1: He has no cluse how to do it but was apparently supposed to learn on his own. THanks for telling me! I would have at least told him where to look for information.

He has since changed his project and is still making only little progress. He is using moviemaker to make a documentary on the F-22. I don't know if he'll get it done. It's not like he's getting a grade or anything....

yep that is me I am not a last mintue girl for school work, everything else if fair game. Or come to think of it I am not that way with Christmas shopping or packing either, but housework a big old YES!

DH is the exact oppsite and will stay up all night to get something done. I could rarely do that even in college. I would make it until like 2 and then hit a wall, I could not contribute to the group project, I couldnt comprehend another fact. I would go and crash for two hours and then I get up at 4 and be fine but once I hit that wall I was done.

Plus I hate last minute bc I have had things go wrong where I think I have all this time and then say someone gets sick and all that running around time I had is now gone.

I dont wait anymore

My husband and I slept in on sunday until he informs me that he wants to get something for his younger cousins for easter....:confused3 aka-natalie go buy something for them!!!!

So i take a shower and roll out to Kmart! I haven't been there in years, but it was the closest place to my house! I think there were about 5 other people in there with me!

Marlin is feeling much better, he has to keep his cone collar on for another week. He started being more like himself yesterday!

I'm not a mom, but my bad thing to kids story is one time I was dancing with my cousin who was 7 at the time...and was walking with him backwards and we tripped over each others feet and he fell back and hit his head....I felt terrible!!!

No.....you know you want to tell us. You're Shore that's what you do.

I go to the accountant, the one that handles our business as well as our personal.

I take in all our personal bank statements, and inform the receptionist that it's URGENT that we have these done by next Monday.

She says that she's been informed to tell everyone that it will be two weeks.

I tell her that the accountant has had my business stuff since FEBRUARY 18th (that's 5 weeks) and still hasn't gotten it done yet. And since I need to have the business stuff done before I can have my personal stuff done, being behind is NOT my fault.

She looks at me kind of funny, as if to say, sorry, not my problem, nothing I can do.

I tell her again, it's been 5 weeks, he hasn't even done my business stuff yet, and I need ALL OF THIS INFO by Monday for my bank. My bank needs it to approve our line of credit that we get every spring. Our business is opening next week and without the line of credit, we are literally going to be screwed.

The receptionist says she will "talk to him about it."

It's a long boring story, and I was going to spare you the hum drum details, but since you asked... ;)

I am picturing the receptionist giving you the David Spade.

"And you are???"

I can't decide if I want to play Rock Band some more or if I want to take a nap.

I'm sad...the family towel thread got poofed while I was at lunch. Did it take a nasty turn for the worse?
