Speaking of kids shows...

Yesterday, DS3 was watching TV in the living room. He left and went upstairs, so I changed the channel.

He came back, 15 or so minutes later, and got mad. Wanted to know why I changed the channel and where were the "backyard Mexicans"?

He meant Dora and Diego!! He called them the backyard Mexicans!!

We're surrounded by Mexicans, we have some that work for us, and my brother married a Mexican girl, so my DS has 3 half-Mexican cousins. He already knows a little Spanish, he calls the women that work for us the "muchachas" and he loves them.

But it just left me wondering where on earth he came up with that name for them??

LOVE it!!! :lmao:

I tried to make DS3 get some clothes on so we can leave.

He's insisting on wearing a pajama top. I told him I won't be taking him out in public with that on.

After about 10 minutes of arguing with him, he went and found another top. So I guess I have to go after all.

I'll check back on you guys after I get done doing the Winner Mom thing.

DH HATES that I let both kids get away with wearing whatever - PJ's, Easter Dress, mix match colors/patterns. Hey if they can do the "get your shoes on" after the 15th zillion time then I am NOT argueing over at least having some type of clothing on...they're the ones getting the odd look :confused3

 Is that little brat still on the air??? :rotfl2:
I am SO glad my kids never took to that. Annoying little kid

No Barney, no Teletubbies, and never really paid attention to Cailou or how ever the heck you spell it.

:rotfl: Pudding girl, pie lady...what else is there?:rotfl2:
Who's grocery stores have those special "kiddie" carts for the little tykes to ride in? When my kids were small enough to fit in there, they would want one...then half way thru the store they would get out, and there I would be pushing around this huge contraption of a cart with no kiddies left in it! :headache:

I HATE THOSE CARTS!!!! They do NOT turn for cow dung and the kids always are sick of them when your 1/2 through shopping :headache:

Just wanted to share my "project"

DSC03476.jpg

Awwww, he deserves some kind of human treats - cold cuts, meat, etc. not a human to gnaw on

Oh yes I forgot how many times I told him to get his mouth off of stuff esp the handle of the shopping cart that he insisted on "helping" me push. It was making me:sick: so heaven knows what germs he managed to pick up there.

Oh yeah and we were never really able to use the fun carts by the time DS5 would sit in a cart he was too darn big, I have big off the chart boys.

And yes we like to name posters after food products around here I guess:rotfl2:

My monsters, er I mean kiddos are too big too but that doesn't mean they don't whine for the darn things

I am combining the pie & pudding for Easter - making a chocolate cream pudding pie :rotfl:

Most things I let slide by but pie lady & one other drive me crazy. I don't know pudding

Yes I have had that happen & also when they are all gone & the kids throw a fit b/c they can't have one & you get them calmed down & you pass one & it starts all over again:headache:

OK, now I am curious who the "one other" is
I remember a pudding thread, but don't remember the user name of who started it.

Are you sure he didn't mean the "Backyardigans"?

After our last big trip to the commissary DD earned a new name- Veruca. All thru the store when she saw something she wanted it was the same whine everytime " I want it NOW!!!!!!"

Just finished shoveling snow (for now)--check the TF thread for the gory details!

I gotta cool off from all that work! I need a diet Mtn. Dew to get me pumped back up again!

Oh, back on-topic, because DH travels so much I end up 'trying' to do holiday shopping while DD is with me. Miss Eagle Eyes doesn't let too much get past her, so I usually have to start in January OR lie and tell her it is for her 8 year old cousin! I have a feeling neither will last past this year!

Also, we are going to see the Backyardigans live next month. I can only hope it is better than Playhouse Disney Live (very disappointing) and half as good as Nemo on Ice (EXCELLENT!) It is the first non-Disney production we are seeing, so it will be interesting to see how they compare!

I had to give up on taking the kids with me after #1DS turned 4 & I was getting him that Chicken Dance Elmo for Christmas. Had been doing really good at hiding the stuff under my coat (lived in Indy at the time, so was a really big coat) had it somewhat hidden at the checkout until.......................the cashier accidently hit the button on Elmo's foot. I had to play it off that it was for another kid on my list.
Now I go out when DH is home, but since he's been away at school & I get a few hours of free daycare on base while he's gone, I go during the week while they are all at school & daycare. Boy am I gonna miss those free hours after DH comes home :sad2:

:rotfl:

Hey Losers,
I am home from work and just chilling out. I plan on doing nothing this weekend. Is there anything going on today? I am to lazy to read back the pages

I want a new t-shirt printed up that says: I survived a kindergarten easter party

:rotfl2: OK, then I want one that says: I survived a 4th grade spring party
:scared1:
The Mom in charge asked me to run the "craft". Well since it looked simple and like something 4th graders could handle, I just went with it, even tho I am the anti-craft.
All they had to do was wrap piper cleaners around a tootsie pop and put eyes on in order to make a spider. Maybe 3 of the 23 kids could get this on their own :headache:
And the noise level in there!!!! :headache: :headache:

That's MY title! I am craft challenged.

Hi losers :flower3:

Having a particularly winnerish day

The kids are begging me to put "surrender" by Cheap Trick on repeat.

I'm not sure if thats a good or a bad thing?

Hi ya'll..I started the morning off by poisoning my Catholic husband. If he knew he shouldn't eat meat, should he at some point said, "No" to the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich I made him? I even asked him yesterday if he was going to observe...Well, we both forgot. Then he had chicken for lunch on his own..so I don't feel so bad..Hope he doesn't go to hell for that..

I had our egg hunt this morning..240 eggs for 5 kids...plus the other kids had stuffed some and put them in their yards, too. So we had lots and lots of eggs. And two of the kids were complaining that another got more than them...I mean how much is enough??you would think around 50 eggs per kid give or take...BTW, they weren't my kids either with more or complaining..In fact my DS8 is sweet, he opens an egg and thanks me for what is inside..where does he get that from?

I still need to finish stuff for the birthday party tomorrow..a doghair free floor would be nice for starters. I got the cake, ice cream, chips..I neeed to stuff the pinata..I'm only expecting about 10 kids, don't get me started about the 20 YES 20 parents who did not think that the three times I begged for a respnse on my invite was enough..ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!

Well I should get my loser behind in motion so I can rest later. will check back in a while..after Dr. Phil. oh, I mean after I sweep the floors and stuff the pinatal...

poor mickeyboat is going to have a coronary when she gets on, Pie just questioned her being a lawyer on the mom leaving the kid in the car thread.
