Now I'm going to be scared to take a bath.

Nuttin but showers for me!!

So DH came home. I made him check the pantry for Hisser the Pisser.

He thought I'd lost my mind, but he looked anyway. Didn't see anything, so now he's convinced I need some type of medication.

And now........hisser the pisser has moved to another part of your house..

I received a deep fryer for a present some years back.

I made coconut shrimp in it.

I cleaned the thing and put it in the basement and I have not hauled it back out since.

Ok, well, my last post certainly doesn't fit in with the fried food theme.

It was in response to Linty's rattler.

Back to the fried food, though, I love fried broccoli!!

I'll have to remember to tell you my bat story some time...

You put the deep fryer in the basement? If I thought I had to climb a set of stairs to fry some food, we wouldn't ever be using it again.

Mine sits on my counter, along with the toaster, the bread box, the food sealer, etc.

I don't even bother trying to hide that stuff. If people come in and see it, yeah, so what, we eat food!!!

I think it's a southern thing, I have heard of them ....

Nope. We have them here in the North as well. Now we Yanks may have 'stolen' the idea from the South, but we DO have them here.

Actually, pretty much anything fried or on a stick is sold at our state fair in Aug. When the gov. was up for re-election, his 'state fair campaign" was to hand out "Governor on a stick"--it was a cut out of him on a stick to be used as a fan!:lmao:

When we had the snake go in the ac vent my parents called someone out to clean all the ducts. And I made DH put screens over the vent openings (but under the vent cover) just in case. Now I want to do the heeby jeeby dance again! ewwww

I have never heard of fried broccoli either. But I've had cauliflower fried so I'm guessing it's the same. Since I have no potatoes to fry or tarter sauce for the fish, I am off to Target. DS wants me to get him some wood so he can practice carving with his swiss army knife, too:scared1: I think I may have to run to Hobby Lobby and buy some balsa wood. Here's hoping I don't come back later with a story about my trip to the ER!

I'm hyperventilating laughing at "Hisser the Pisser." :rotfl2:

You guys are cracking me up today. Maybe I didn't get enough sleep or something.

I need to make dinner. I wish we were having fried pickles and mushrooms and cauliflower and cheese. Mmmm and fried ravioli. I actually make a baked ravioli that tastes just like fried - my family has no idea that I bake them. I do that with a lot of things. They love fried food, but I have developed methods of "oven frying" just about everything. They seriously would be like  if they knew how many of their favorite things I've modified to make them healthier. :lmao:

oooh, please post the recipe over on the other side!

OMG, I was curious from another thread about the Family Board.. I went over there, and OMG..one of the threads is about why shouldn't I name my child(girl) Disney, my family is being mean and trying to talk me out of it...

Lord, someone bring back the Diva Cup thread, please...:scared:

Hey Losers,
I see you have all been busy today. I will have to read all the post I missed.
How is everyone today? I worked all day. I might have all my stuff done by the time I leave Friday. It would be great if I could have some extra stuff done also but I so am not going to be a winner like that

Yes, probably stolen to the North..They don't call it the Deep(fried)South for nothin' they fry EVERYTHING here... yum:goodvibes

I forgot to post this earlier...240 eggs. That's how many I stuffed. Way too many, I think only 6 kids will be doing it, but I got carried away last year buying sale priced plastic eggs..and too much candy this year for stuffing. I was thinking a few more, but I don't like any of those kids, so I am not saying anything to them. They live next door, but are mean to my kids, so....no...

We had our stew..it was pretty good considering I don't know how to make it. I just put lots of hot sauce on mine. That's another southern thing, hot sauce on everything.

We are out and about tonight with surprises for the boys. We told them they were getting new bikes for their birthdays, Grandma even kicked in the money for them. But we had to wait til DH cleaned out a sopt in the garage so they didn't rust outside like the last ones. Well, he finally did it, so tonight we are off to Walmart and ToysRUs (sale on Schwinn-25%off!) to pick one out. Then off to ColdStone Creamery for DS10's free birthday ice cream, of course the rest of us will have to join him....:goodvibes A few minutes ago, DS10 blurted out-are we going to ToysRUs? How does he know these things? I have tried to surprise them with trips to WDW or NickHotel and they have guessed both times. The other time, they were asleep when we arrived at the WL, which was my surprise..I give up..

Later y'all...
