Okay I got him water but are you ready for this it was not cold enough. So I needed to add ice but not to much because you are going to love this when it melts it taste weird. I swear I am going to a hotel and leaving him here to fin for him self.:lmao: :lmao:

Develop selective hearing. Only do what he asks when he stops being a whiny baby.

Good night my loser friends. I hope everyone sleeps well!

I took the laptop out of my room and put it back in the living room. I need my Dis while I watch TV. It's called multitasking. Besides it is now hidden from view between the couch and the kitchen table. Yes my apartment is that small.

Morning!!!

We were quiet last night!

Off to the evil "W" place. Hope all is well with everyone.

I am at work and must get my accounting homework done before 4. I have to journalize a month's worth of entries, do the ledger and a trial balance. Kill me please.

You're gonna think I'm crazy, but I used to LOVE doing that stuff..except I would always make a mistake early on, then the whole thing would get screwed up! What can I say, I was a loser back in college, too.

Morning fellow LOSERS, I'm finally over what I had this weekend  and now the WINNER has to take over to get this house back in shape from not being able to do anything this weekend. I did, yesterday, finally get all my files from our accordian file folder into the file cabinet I bought back at the begining of Jan. Took me a few hrs. to do and boy it wore me out.

I have also seen people wear their pj's & slippers to the grocery store here on base. I told my husband about that & said, " yeah I know I'm lazy but I'm not that lazy." Plus I would be embarassed that I would run into someone who worked with DH & it get back to his unit & being that he's a senior enlisted person that's not a good thing.

Chef Boyardee is a family friend here too. I personally liked the Franco American spaghetti in the can. I used to get it and put parmesan cheese over that, but I think they changed the recipe or something cause it taste different now.

Well I sent out a reminder email and still made phone calls. Shucks I am paying by the head, and I want to know who I am paying for.

I hate getting my house company neat, this is why we never have anyone over, and WHY I am having DS5's party out.

I am the exact same way..I avoid any company at all costs. DH says every once in awhile.."we never have anyone over"..WELL HELLO-DO YOU SEE THAT THE DINING ROOM IS COMPLETELY ENGULFED BY YOUR BOXES OF STUFF AND YOU HAVE TURNED IT INTO AN OFFICE-NOT JUST AN OFFICE, BUT A REALLY,REALLY MESSY OFFICE??!!! WHERE DO YOU PROPOSE PEOPLE SIT...ON THE CEILING???

I was trying for an "away" party, but he wanted bowling-which is $15/kid. It would be my luck that all 27 kids would show up. Next year, it's gonna be WDW for sure..

I really feel for you waiting for your head count. I hatehatehate it when parents are so inconsiderate. And you KNOW they have been through this before, they know how frustrating it is..The last Chuck E. Cheese party I had, I ended up having to call parents, a couple of them were irritated? ("I tried to call you but your line was busy"..) This was after I wrote on the invitation, 3 TIMES in different places to please, please please call me -yes or no- so I know how many ....still had to call over half. I finally decided it was easier to clean the house than to deal with THAT kind of frustration. But in reality it is much easier just to leave town altogether!!

Yep I use to like it to. I guess we are fellow accounting geeks:lmao:

Problem is...I don't remember how to do the ledger or the trial balance. Help?

I have to admit this time wasnt as bad about getting people to RSVP as other things. My son's First Communion was the worst. This was family and friends. I was having it catered here (yes I did get my house company neat for once:thumbsup2 ) so once again I needed a headcount, plus I was thinking I was going to have a lot of kids maybe get a moonbounce or something. I didnt get it bc it turned out not a lot of people could make it. I mean we still had a decent turnout just not what I thought orginally.

We have had DS10 start picking other places, we did Hershey Park one year, DH got him box seats at the Phillies game last year. If anything it is only going to ba a couple of friends now that he is older. Alhtough his could be cheap bc I could do a pool party here, except then I was a nervous wreck it would rain.

I'm go glad we have outgrown kid birthday parties. We had a couple of skating rink parties where invited kids would bring siblings...one brought 3 siblings. I know we didn't HAVE to feed them, but I couldn't stand to have them watching us have pizza, cake and ice cream with none for them.

The parents who don't RSVP are losers (not LOSERS).

We have a nice community pool, too. Every year I think, would it be terrible to have their winter birthdays in the summer so we could use the pool? Maybe I will do that next year..tacky or not..

We have 1 family around here (2 kids - about 5 years age difference) and everytime the younger kid gets invited mom brings both and makes the older daughter sit in a corner and watch the party going on. She doesn't allow her to participate or have cake, etc. I think it's just plain cruel to put it in front of her like that. I understand maybe there is nobody to watch her but I feel like it's watching some sort of punishment.

I did that one year.....DD skipped her November birthday party and DS skipped his January party and we had a summer party at the community pool. Again, siblings were a problem....sure, the parents paid the buck admission for the siblings....but we were left to watch them and feed them (and I felt bad about not having a goody bag for them.)

That would be hard w/o it in front of us but we may be able to answer some questions but I am out of here soon to take DS5 to school and Ds10 to a playdate, he has an inservice day so we just stop in from the dentist and then we are back out. Plus I am very rusty....:rotfl2:
