I noticed on wdw website that The Living Seas is closed the whole month of November. Does that include Turtle Talk with Crush? Has anyone been there recently?

TIA!

We were just there during the week of Oct. 24, and it was all closed up. We were disappointed, we really wanted to go see Turtle Talk! It was only our second trip to Epcot and we didn't make it over there on our first trip.

the entire pavillion is closed for refurbishment until the week of Thanksgiving I believe. That includes Turtle Talk. The Coral Reef restaraunt is the only thing open at that time.

That was the plan. However now the pavilion will be closed until at least December 1st.

I so wish it will open as planned. Crush is my favorite! We leave 2 weeks from today!! :cool1:

When I logged into my Disney vacation, it said that the Living Seas will be closed in January as well. However, it doesn't mention that Test Track will be closed, but on All Ears it says it will be. I assume Disney is just slow to update their page??

I spoke with a CM while making ADR for the Friday after Thanksgiving and she said that Living Seas is set to open on Nov. 22nd. I'm hoping that it's true because my DD would love the turtle talk, hey, dude they love Crush :cheer2: :cheer2:

I hope it opens by the time we get there, 11/23-11/27. I could care less about The Living Seas except Turtle Talk. We saw it this Summer like 3 times and we're absolutely in love with it. So adorable. I hope Crush is there waiting for us....

They are putting in a ride. We did the backstage tour in September and the tracks and cars were being painted. Not sure exactly, but my guess might be a ride sort of like the old one. The tracks seemed to look like little hills, sort of like the sea, going up and down. Can't wait to check it out on either my December trip or my February trip.

one of my besfriends and i went to wdw in late aug and we spoke with a cm at imagination. he did say that so many people had complained about the living seas that they had decided to put a ride back in. he said it would be similar to the old one. he also said that so many people were complaining about the imagination ride as well. he said he wouldn't be surprised if wdw made it more like the original ride. he also informed us that some of the tracks are still there. i hope he is right and they do change it back. i miss dreamfinder. while i pray for that to happene i can't wait to see crush and what they have done to the living seas. i hope it is opened by my trip in 3 weeks!

I'm confused...I didn't know there was a ride before on The living seas...I only remember the "elevators" simulator that "take you under water"...is that what you guys are talking about, when you say they are putting the ride back?
I'm really love aquariums, so The Living Seas is truly the highlight of my Epcot day...that's why I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it to open before or during our vacation Nov.23....I mean there's only 12 days left, which is less than 2 weeks, less than 288 hours, you know...( :rotfl: sorry about the bragging...it's one of the ways I deal with my EXCITEMENT- CAN'T WAIT TO GET ON THAT PLANE!!)

I can't remember where I read this (most likely on another thread here), but I thought I remember it saying that WDW will open up The Living Seas for the Holiday period to accomodate for the 2 holidays (Thanksgiving and Xmas), but then close it again for an extended period to finish the overall refurbishment.

I thought I read that when they close it for the second time, that EVERYTHING would be closed, including the restaurant and the DIVE QUEST. I hope I'm wrong and that someone much more informed will correct me on this. But one question I had was even if some of this was true, does that mean that when they reopen it in the end of Nov/early Dec that the proposed "ride" will be running or just the old attraction with a fresh coat of paint? Also, when/if they close it for the second time, does anyone know when the "proposed" reopening for that will be? We are bringing some friends for their first WDW trip mid-Feb and would love for it to be open then, but am not holding my breath.

Either way, I am looking forward to see Crush. I have heard so much about it and have yet to experience it. I know my DD and DS will love it.

Oh I hope it opens for Thanksgiving!! DD is so looking forward to Crush!

There used to be a ride after you exit the hydrolators that took you to the aquarium area. It was a slow moving belt load ride similar to Space Ship Earth/ Haunted Mansion. The ride cars were called "Sea Cabs" and went through a tunnel with windows looking into the aquariums.

Oh, I hope they bring back the Sea Cabs! I miss them!!! I also hope it's all open for our December trip. Turtle Talk is one of the best things at Disney World right now!

We are taking the grandkids the first week in December and I wanted them to see Crush! I hope it will be open.
