But the real question is...
Do any of the birds speak? And have you trained them to say "Obama is the Messiah" yet?

And
24 days!!!!
You notice that too...? Good grief, what will happen to them after Jaunuary 20th? Some people literally may implode.
I think the St Francis of Assisi statue in my front yard draws them..![]()
How does that work with the birds and cats? My one cat is drooling just watching from the window!

The African Grey talks, I could probably teach her that
The macaw only says "Some!" (when he wants some of your food, normally pasta), "Up-up!" (when he wants to be held), and "Left, Right" (it's a game we play where we move our heads left and right at the same time).
I'm not Catholic, but I have a St. Francis figurine that hangs from my wall near the bird cages. As for getting along...the cats are afraid of most of the birds. Ever since the Macaw bit one of the cats tails, the rest of the cats have avoided the birds![]()
QUOTE]
Though raised Catholic, I don't embrace any organized religion now and can be described as agnostic if not..gasp..a heathen!
That said, Francis was a lover of animals and worked tirelessly for the poor so he is the only ceramic object/icon allowed on my lawn..(except snow white and many of the dwarfs of course...

I have no trouble with it or guilt..I am still spiritual, believing there may be a higher power, just not sure what/who that may be. I can't embrace a cruel diety though. Hypocrisy also has turned me away little by little.
I also don't believe in a place, some call heaven, where any decent, loving animal, would be turned away. As I have said before, if there is a place and the only people allowed through the gate believe in Jesus, I don't wish to go.
PS As for prayer, I ask my departed loved ones to look over us...If there IS a God they are closer to her/him then I anyway...
what a long day
