Why, thank you.
And Jen, no twirling from me. What do you think I am, European?
I have an uncle who taught me to twirl. He's from Georgia.

Ask me about my ham.
No really, go ahead.
Okay, I'll tell you. I planned an entire Christmas dinner around my best friend, who is a vegetarian. Then she got sick, so there I was on Christmas eve with nothing but stuff that isn't meat! My husband was so sad. So I went to Whole Foods and what do you think I found? Niman Ranch ham! The exact same thing I was going to pay $25 to fedex to my house if I hadn't planned the veg menu. I am very picky about ham. It's the first time they've carried it in the store where I live.
It was like some sort of Christmas miracle, sans shipping costs.
So we had ham.
And that was my Christmas.
That's not your interesting uncle, is it?
So, how was your ham?
It's the other interesting uncle.
He once paraded around the boot store in a pink collared shirt, cut-off khakis, a red cowboy hat, and bright purple snake-skin boots.
He's fabulous!
You know, it was pretty good. In general, I am not a fan of ham. For years I didn't eat red meat and I was a vegetarian for a while (when I lived in Russia because the meat there is a bit scary) but then I had a bit of bacon (the "gateway" meat, as they call it) and that did it for me. Also, ribs. Because I live in the south and it is my regional duty to eat ribs.
Is it too late to be adopted into your family? All of my relatives are boring.
My oldest once ran around a toy store wearing a Viking hat, Michigan football jersey, and a tutu. Won't touch the thing now, but at two-years old, he thought that tutu was great. I did get some odd looks, which surprised me given that I was in Chapel Hill, one of the most liberal towns in America.

Just stopping by for a quick "hello". I'm at WDW now. I am afraid that I passed on a salad with arugula in it at the flying Fish last night for lobster bisque. Am I still a liberal?
That will be 4 Hail Obama's please.
Have a wonderful trip!!!
It is both liberal and elitist. Good job! This is what we are working towards everyday.
How is Disney today? Crowded? I've heard mixed reports.
The Christmas Ham!!
I saw that movie over Christmas!! Fabulous..They are going to make a Broadway production out of it!!!![]()
Bristol Palin had a boy yesterday..Named him something that sounded like Trip? I wasn't paying attention.
Seriously? Is that the one about the kid who wants to get a ham for his momma on Christmas eve just in case she meets Jesus?

That's the one! But the Mamma said "kid you can't get Jesus a ham, he's Jewish."
