Wait, crcormier is a man??? I thought he was a woman since the beginning. :lmao:

Sorry Craig, I'm terrible at this stuff.

You most certainly are! I think you're around O for 7 now. :rotfl:

But we like you anyway, Tim. ;)

Nope nor have I been polled by a paper, news company, etc. I thought I was going to be the weekend before the VA primary - the washington post called and I got all excited and they asked about a subscription offer. I said no thanks and was bummed. ;)

I love how they assume only Democrats have been polled. I certainly have not in the approximately 700 years I've been voting.... and I also personally don't know any Democrat who has either.

Where in NJ are you? I was born and raised in Middlesex County and graduated from TCNJ in 2006. I recently moved in Northern VA but am in NJ about 2-3 times a month since my family and life-long friends are all up there.

I miss it!!!

I think my worst was by far, you. :) I thought Laura lived in TX since I joined the DIS and then the other day I learned she was in OH. :confused3

Me either...so if none of them have been polled and none of us have been polled....then who the HECK is getting polled????

Every time you think there might be a human side (to Clinton) it seems to go away :confused3 This really isn't very becoming  I wish she wouldn't stoop to these politics... it's very sad... If we aren't worth our word, then what are we worth?

Here's the exact MTP transcript. She or her campaign never used the words "wouldn't count."

Please don't get me wrong - if I were on team Obama - I'd fight counting the votes - though eventually - if he ends up ahead and she can't hold TX or OH -- the point will be moot - with him in the lead - he will probably be magnanimous and allow the delegates to represent. It doesn't look good not to count votes - and he will NEED FL if the Dems want to win there!

I'm just saying - look at the actual statement. I believe the "pledge" was made thinking whoever won - would allow the delegates in - all one big happy family - we Dems are (I am LOLing as I type this.......)

Any who - I believe there is a human side to Mrs. Clinton - regardless of this delegate mess......

MR. RUSSERT: Besides superdelegates, another important issue is Florida and Michigan, and this is what happened. Back in August of '07, Howard Dean wrote this letter to all the candidates:

"As leader of the Democratic Party, I strongly urge you to adhere to the 2008 delegate selection rules. The 2008 Delegate Selection Rules. ... The 2008 Delegate Selection Rules adopted by the full DNC at its August 2006 meeting clearly provide that only four states - Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire," "South Carolina - may hold their respective contests prior to February 5, '08. The [Rules and Bylaws Committee's] finding of noncompliance included a 100 percent loss of pledged and unpledged delegates."

If you tried to move your primary up, you've lost all your delegates. Florida and Michigan did it, they lost all their delegates. The Clinton campaign put out this statement: "We believe Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina play a unique and special role in the" nomination "process." "We believe the DNC's rules and its calendar provide the necessary structure to respect and honor that role. Thus, we will be signing the pledge to adhere to the DNC approved nominating calendar."

That was the Clinton campaign in September. Here's the Clinton campaign in February. "With regard to Michigan and Florida, our position is clear. We're going to ask our delegates to vote to seat the delegations from Florida and Michigan. We do not think that" "many Americans should have" had "their votes and their voices and their preferences denied.

"We had an enormous turnout, particular in Florida, the largest turnout in the history of the Democratic primary in Florida. And we believe that it is critically important that those delegates have an opportunity to express their preferences at the convention.

"I don't believe that anyone seriously thinks we're going to have a national convention in which the delegations of Florida and Michigan are not going to have a say. So that is our position."

I don't know if I should tell you - you might try to find me and Obamacize me. LOL <- just kidding:rotfl:

I'm from Essex County - the home turf of the Soprano's!

Good question..... I also have never known, or known someone who's known, a Nielsen family either. I guess I'm dull as dirt. :lmao:

Certainly not any of us on the Disboards this Friday night!

I've had a question for you since I found out you were a convert to the liberal side...... is it a permanent conversion? Or a temporary one to atone for the Bush years?

I find this fascinating - I don't really know anyone who has converted to our side - I know others who ran from the party because they perceived Al Gore and John Kerry to be "weenies." And they are so stubborn - they can't admit who the real "weenie" is!

Well, I guess I'm only slightly more interesting because I did know someone whose Tivo habits were being analyzed by Neilsen.

Nobody ever phone polled me either...I was hoping that Hillary or Barack would call prior to the NJ primary, but alas....

Ooh - I knew someone who was a Nielson person. I was sooooo jealous.

But - she had a lot of work to do - in addition to the box that went in the house, she had to keep a diary of her watching habit.....

And she didn't even watch that much TV!

Barack's peeps called me twice. Once in January for money - they annoyed me cause they woke me up. I told them then - I wasn't giving $$ in the primaries (this was before I decided on Hillary, and I was still holding a grudge that John Kerry and moveon wasted my donations).

Then the second time was a week before the primary - I told them I was in camp Hillary. They hung up then.

I have been phone polled during this election and others. Never an exit poll. I don't think I've ever even known anyone who was.

Hope they said good bye before they hung up
