The Lesser Known Eighth Dwarf, Dumpy, Comes to Disney Aug '11 **NEW 2/20 TR link!!!

Your picture of Stitch's face on the second sip is sooo good!

That old guy needs to learn some lessons about personal space.

Probably the best Beverly face I've seen in a while :rotfl:

Jen, sorry I don't have time to comment like I would like (I've got a plane to catch and a special Mouse waiting to see me), but it was a great update and I loved all the pictures and it sounds like a great day.

Okay, I'll forgive you this time. I guess catching a plane to see Mickey is more important.....HAVE A FABULOUS TRIP!!!!

I thought I already posted - oh well! Great photos and a great start to Epcot day!

Thanks Jen! You probably read the update, thought what you were going to post but never actually posted a reply :rotfl2: Happens to me all the time.

We made our way over to Le Cellier for lunch

The crowds were still pretty non-existent in WS that morning. We still had time to spare once we got to Canada so we watched O Canada

This show is SO much better now with Martin Short. This video actually sparked my wanting to go visit Montreal again. Once the show finished we literally had two minutes before our ADR.

I was really looking forward to see what had changed since the last time I had been. Of course you know Le Cellier is now a Signature dining experience at dinner but still the same old at lunch. They did do something different though when they led us to our table.

They now force you to look at this dessert table as you walk by. I get it that they're trying to upsell but at least give us the option to look. Don't force us to go ooooh, ahhhh at something we might not even want or can't eat. You'll also notice there is no Chocolate Moose on the table. Is it not fancy enough to be on the table? Too childish? :confused3 But fear not my chocolate Moose fans, you can still order it (I made sure to ask) Hence my confusion why it's not on the dessert table.....

Anyways!

We were seating in Manitoba (I think) to the far right of the restaurant as you walk in.

When I come here, I always order the usual: Cheddar Cheese soup, mushroom filet, and maple creme brulee. This time I decided to switch it up a bit. I wasn't really feeling the filet at this time of day but what else to get? The Prix Fixe lunch menu for $28.99 really caught my attention which still gave me the option to choose the soup and dessert but switch up the entree. I decided to go with that, as did Stitch.

Of course we started with pretzel breadsticks

These were ooey gooey warm and a delicious dipper in our cheddar cheese soup

For my main course, I tried the Le Cellier House Burger

Now this was no ordinary burger. Oh no, no, no. It was quite possibly the best burger I have ever tasted in my entire life. It almost beat the mushroom filet it was that good. Wow. Heaven on a plate. :cloud9: I was very happy with my choice.

I was stuffed after the soup and burger but I just had to enjoy my maple creme brulee

:lovestruc

And just so there's proof they still serve the Chocolate Moose

That's what Stitch got.

We also had a lovely server who hopefully Bubba will get along well with. She seemed nice enough and wasn't into that whole stupid, party, stay up all night scene. That I can respect. We settled the bill and I went to wait outside while Stitch took a potty break.

This area seems like a great spot to have a wedding ceremony. How gorgeous is it with the gardens, the waterfall, and all the flowers? It would be so pretty with a bride a groom in there too. Okay, that's it. This is where I'm getting married. Called it! :rotfl:

After lunch, we decided not to go back to the resort and instead, start our walk around WS. Stitch's ankle seemed to be holding up good so far.....

Darn it, why did you have to switch things up? I lost a point! Just kidding! I seriously debated getting the burger when I was there as well but figured for a first visit to the steakhouse I should probably get a steak. :rotfl:

I love the new show as well! Martin Short is great, I have loved him ever since Father of the Bride. I also love the song they play in the movie.

I think it would be funny if you flew all the way to Florida just to get married in Canada :rotfl:

Hahaha it is beautiful! I love a non-crowded WS!

I actually really enjoyed the new Oh Canada. I love Martin Short. Father of the Bride- classic. :thumbsup2

MMMMMMM Le Cellier. I could go for some chocolate mousse right now! Or anything really. Ahhh I miss Disney food. </3

Are you kidding me??? :headache:

If there was one thing I thought I could count on, it was what you always order at Le Cellier! What is this world (showcase) coming to?

Did you alter this photo online? It looks cool. I've been looking at a tilt-shift website where you can create this effect.

Now that's just mean that they make you walk by the dessert table before heading in to your table. Kinda weird if you ask me. Isn't that what the server is supposed to do after you've had your meal? :confused3

Look at you, changing up your entree! Glad to hear that the burger was so good. Once when we ate there my brother got the burger and I was like, "but you're in a steak place". :rotfl:

I can't believe you switched up your choice at Le Cellier!! EEEKKK!!! lol. I'm glad you enjoyed the burger, it looked yummy!

:woohoo::woohoo:for being seated in Manitoba:woohoo::woohoo:

That burger looks delicious!! There is nothing I love more than a good burger! Mmmmm creme brulee...heaven in a dish:cloud9:

Martin Short absolutely cracks me up....I love to go just to see him...it's not like they highlight the prairies at all....Calgary and then Toronto:confused3 Ok vent done:thumbsup2

Wow, talk about getting a shot in the dark correct! Someone in our party ordered the House Burger too for lunch when we were there, and the opinion was exactly the same as yours! Otherwise, I probably would have never thought of that as an option.

I really wish I had gone with the Maple Creme Brulee this past trip. I would have enjoyed it better. For some reason on this past trip I opted to try new things at restaurants we went back to, and my experience wasn't nearly as enjoyable for the most part.

:teeth: I knew what would happen if I did that. It's true, you should get a steak at a steakhouse but I had no idea they did a burger so well!

He was hilarious in Father of the Bride! Love it!

:rotfl: That does seem a bit odd doesn't it?

Seems he's well known for being in Father of the Bride. I seem to remember him most from InnerSpace. He was a bit odd in that movie, I gotta say. He was much better in Father of the Bride. I prefer him in the comedic role. I miss Disney food too!

Are you kidding me??? :headache:

Did you alter this photo online? It looks cool. I've been looking at a tilt-shift website where you can create this effect.

Actually, it's a function on my camera - the toy camera effect (aka tilt-shift) I think it's called. It turned out really nice if I do say so myself ;)

Now that's just mean that they make you walk by the dessert table before heading in to your table. Kinda weird if you ask me. Isn't that what the server is supposed to do after you've had your meal? :confused3

It was weird. I hope they don't keep doing that. I hate when restaurants shove things at you like that.

Look at you, changing up your entree! Glad to hear that the burger was so good. Once when we ate there my brother got the burger and I was like, "but you're in a steak place". :rotfl:

I gotta go outside the box sometime. It did not disappoint either!

Woot! Woot! Manitoba! I'm glad to see another creme brulee fan :thumbsup2 Martin Short was hilarious in his SCTV days. Yeah I know I'm a little too young to know that :rotfl: I noticed too they just sorta jump over the prairies.... not fair! There's lots of flat land and a fabulous woman and her daughter who live there!!! How can they bypass that?!

Wow, talk about getting a shot in the dark correct! Someone in our party ordered the House Burger too for lunch when we were there, and the opinion was exactly the same as yours! Otherwise, I probably would have never thought of that as an option.

I was floored when you guessed the burger. Great job!

You gotta give it a try. It never disappoints. Too bad your new experiences weren't as succesful as mine. Don't give up though! You never know until you try.

I am with Glenn !!I never would have guessed you'd switch !!Oh well at least I got the other 2 right !!!! Are you posting scores !!?????

Burger!!?? I would NEVER have guessed that!! Ah well.... the pictures sure made up for my lack of pointage. They were really pretty, and you're right- a very pretty place to get married!

I gotta keep you guessing! I'm glad I'm not that predictable though seeing how DBF says I'm so predictable! I usually post scores once I finish a whole day. So once I finish Day 3 then you'll see updated scores :goodvibes

I caught a lot of you by suprise. I'm glad we agree!

Wow, if you're cheating at scrabble you might want to find a new source of information........ :rotfl2:

Or maybe you figured out how to hack into the game. I was wondering how you managed to get all those vowels.....
i guess i just need to try to cheat harder.

i had vowels with only 1 non vowel i think 1 of 4 turns.

I've been busy packing and getting ready for my trip and I missed a set of contests and I'll probably miss even more while actually on the trip. Oh, well, I guess I'll make a grand comeback later. :rotfl:

I love the pictures of the fireworks from California Grill. Someday I'd love to see them from that perspective.

Being first at rope drop is very impressive. It looks like a very productive morning so far. I always think the sky looks extra blue at Epcot.

I'm glad to hear the burger is a good option at Le Cellier. We're going next week and we're getting the filets, because we never have before. The dessert table is kind of odd. I'd would have thought the Chocolate Moose would have been included. :confused3

You've got lots of time to catch up.

I'm sure you will one day :goodvibes

The sky looks extra blue anywhere in Disney. Although right behind the castle at MK seems to be the best spot for me.

I am so excited for you that you're leaving so soon! Eat a filet for me!
