We decide that we are going to do just a single park a day, no rushing around between parks. We'll also just go until we start getting tired, then head back to the WL for pool or something else.
We ate a simple breakfast at roaring forks and got underway.
We get to the Animal Kingdom around 10:30 and it's already HOT!!! We lather the kids with the sun tan location and decide what to do,
1st stop is to get fast pass for the safari. I can't stress enough GET FASTPASS!!!! We never waited more than 5 minutes for anything with a fast pass and most of the time wound up skipping rides that didn't have fast pass. Fast pass for the safari is for around 1:00 so we back track and see some of the animals around the tree of life. My son loved the giant tortise, I think he could have stayed there the entire day.
At 1 we head over to the safari, tons of animals out even though it was hot.
We head right over to the rapids, again to pick up a fast pass. While waiting we grab a bite to eat then goto the dinosauor area. Usually my sone would have loved the bone yard, but we only wind up staying 20 mins or so.
Back to the rapids for the fast pass, I must say I was rather disappiointed in the ride, I didn't realize there was really only 1 spot where you would get wet. Thankfully I was in that spot, but the wife wasnt and she wasn't too happy that she was the only one not to get wet.
By the time the rapid was over there's just enough time to get a front row seat for the parade. We also grab some ice creams using the coupons from lunch.
Very cool parade with alot of charater interactions.
On the way out we see that the Bug show is only a 5 min wait so we jump in. My daughter was not very happy with the show. She's suddenly decided that she doesn't like loud noices or the dark, now you must realize she's one of the loudest people I know
We head out of the park so we can beat the total rush of people and head back to the WL. We're able to get into the Canyon so we have dinner there. There was the normal intraction that everyone talks about. I got the milk shake which were pretty good, but I would recommend getting it without the whipped cream.
The funnest though was the table that had the ketcup was 2 little girls, a dad and a mon who was in a walking cast. Well they must have had 20 bottles on their table and the girls were only carrying 1 at a time, while the mother could barely limp across the rest. I think it took them a good 15 mins to get all the bottles over.
Kids usually goto bed at 8, so by 9 with dinner still not over I head back to the room with the daugther as she's just getting nuts. Son and wife stay and he's able to do the pony ride for the 1st of many times.
Kids are asleep by about 10 and I get to work downloading all the pictures(note: we took about 1500 pictures over 8 days).
Tomorrow we head to the MK, looking to get an early start so we can wake tinkerbell
