I will type very carefully today...I promise.
How is everybody today? Other than quiet? Jennifer...sorry about your losing your alone time...that is such precious time. Be careful in all that ice!
Morning Sherry and Elaine! Morning Karen! Sounds like everybody is on the mend at least. ***Insert sounds of knocking on wood here!***
I got the neatest book yesterday while picking up gift cert. for Caitlin's teachers. Thought I would share some of it this morning since so many are having dfficult holidays.
"The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: The presence of a happy family all wrapped up in eachother."
"Probably the reason we all go so haywire at Christmastime with the endless unrestrained and often silly buying of gifts is that we don't quite know how to put our love into words."
"They err who thinks that Santa Claus comes down the chimney; he really enters through the heart."
" Christmas is for children. But it is for grownups too. Even if it is a headache, a chore, a nightmare, it is a period of necessary defrosting of chill and hidebound hearts"
" Someone began to sing, "Oh come all ye faithful!" I joined in and sang with all the strangers all about me. I am not alone at all, I thought. I was never alone at all. And that , of course, is the message of Christmas. We are never alone. Not when the night is darkest, the wind coldest, the world seemingly most indifferent. For this is still the time that God chooses."
"It is good to be children sometimes, and never better than at Christmas, when its mighty founder was a child Himself"
Merry Christmas my friends!!!!
