I am going back to bed and sleep a little longer. Really needed a day off from school just to get caught up from Thanksgiving. Guess I will be looking for Christmas decorations in the basement today.

I absolutely LOVE my new 'do'!! She cut it pretty short, and darkened it, and I love it!! I will try to get some pics taken today. The ones taken last night were too dark. (our camera battery is on the fritz. ).

Betty, good to see you around! I can't believe you have a snow day! How much snow did you get? Even after all our snow on Monday, we still had school.

Ahhhh...it is an absolute winter wonderland here today...just gorgeous!!! Lots of time to play in the Lodge today....SNOW DAYS ROCK!!! It is beginning to "ice" though...don't like that stuff. Hope the power holds!! But...snow day by candlelight isn't so bad either!!!! Got plenty of camping gear to stay warm....this is soooo much fun!!!! Betty!!! Snow day for you too??? WOOHOOO!!! I am pulling out the rest of the Christmas stuff too!

Jennifer...Jeannie was over on the party thread for awhile...where were you???? I am beginning to think the service unit party will be a no go tomorrow...and no "snow date" either. If we get as much ice today as they are calling for, on top of the 5 inches of snow already on the ground, these kids will be off again tomorrow!!! I guess no schoolmenas I should cancel the holiday thing? Oh well...one day at a time! I am starting to see Spring Break shrinking around here...2 days off because of the sniper thing and now snow days in early Dec???? Yikes!!

Good Morning, Everyone!! Thanks so much for all your good wishes and vibes yesterday!!

About a half hour before it's time for the kids to head out to school, we got a 2 hour delay. We were only supposed to get around an 1" of snow, but it's really coming down now and the roads, especially the back ones, are very slick. DS is hopeful they just end up cancelling school! If truth be told, so am I. DD is determined to drive to school, I'm scared. Also - I'm waiting for the tow truck to come and tow the car to the garage, so I'm out of commission. (If there's a delay, I can use her car!)

Scout meeting actually went great!! Everyone was very, very nice to us. Scoutmaster told DS that in 2 weeks, he [DS] will be made Senior Patrol Leader, which is long overdue. The Merit Badge Counselor set up a date to start working on DS's last required badge - the only thing that's holding him back from Eagle Scout.

Headache is gone as well!!

On Thanksgiving Day, we went to the Wal-Mart Super Center. In the porting goods section there was a bb gun. I bellow out: "You'll put your eye out, Ralphie!" I got a few strange looks cast my way (which is nothing new!), but also quite a few chuckles!!

Dh just took my cell phone battery, put it on his and told me his won't charge. Guess if I want a phone I'll be stopping at verison this morning.

Jodie....I sat at your party last night for ages....and could think of a thing to say! Party brain block I guess. Sheesh!

I'll try to get silly today after my errands. Table set up is from 8-9 tonight. Wish me luck...this is the part that could go very badly if no one shows up and I have to set up 45 tables by myself!!!

Not sure on your dance Jodie. Last year we had a snow day for one of our January events and I think we still ended up going ahead with it. Of couse ice is a different story all together..... Good Luck!

Sheesh, when will this torture end??? First all these people heading to DisCon.... Then yesterday I got three phone calls. Two from my brother/DW & one from my mom/step dad. They're all in Las Vegas. And here I am, stuck at home. Sigh.... To top it off, the first video poker machine mom played, she won $200. So I told her I expect a very, very nice souviner this trip and *not* just a postcard!

LOL Pam!! That sounds like something I'd do!! Too funny!!

Well, today is one of those days for me. I have to go into the office later this morning. But I can't complain *too* much. I get a free lunch out of it. 'Course, it'll take as long to drive there & back as it will to eat. But while I'm out, I'm going to pick up my copy of Lilo & Stitch on DVD.

Just got the call that school is cancelled!! Just got another call that the tow truck had to be diverted to an accident on the interstate and I'm pushed back as a non-critical call.

Good point, Pam. Now that you mention it, I'll probably have to sit thru some sort of presentation on how the company is doing. That's almost a fate worse than death. Just imagine what the adults sound like in a Charlie Brown cartoon & you'll know what those presentations sound like. Guess I should take some No-Doze before going in, huh?

Tell those party people to stop posting songs on that thread. I think that may be part, if not all, of the problem. I can't hear the songs for some reason. My PC doesn't like them.

{{{HUGS}}} Iknow what you are going through. DS dropped out of high school, was a total pain in the **** teenager. Got his GED (without prompting), ended up getting a good job and actually LEARNING from his boss. He is married, has two children, moved into a brand new home yesterday, has a brand new Chevy Avalanche and is only 33. I am telling you this to let you know there IS hope. A lot of times after rebelling, they turn around on their own (oh, with a little bit of a hard hand thanks to DH )

OK guys, listen to this! I get home yesterday and there is a package from Beth. Inside is a handmade lime green "tiara" (made out of beeds and sequins) with Tinkerbelle on front, a box of Le Petit Chocolate butter biscuits, two tea bags and a letter of instruction. She will be at the tea at the Grand Floridian tomorrow at 1:00 my time. She plans on calling me, so I have to have my tea made (and she said I have to drink it with my pinkie sticking out), my biscuits ready to eat and I'm supposed to wear the tiara (ummmm, I'll be at work!). I will have to talke a picture of the tiarra and post it. It is hysterical! (and cute). Isn't that cool?!

Karen I feel so bad for you because you have to pack to go to WDW. NOT!!!

We have 6 inches and it fell all through the night. The area we live in is hilly and the snow plows were busy with interstates trying to get them ready and the secondary roads were not good. DS is outside snow blowing as I write this. We have a hilly driveway and the snowblower is very hard to handle. Good thing we bought a snow blower that is smaller so I could handle it but of course when we bought it we had a flat driveway. (in Cleveland) Don't know if I will let him go away to college next year because that would mean that I have to start snowblowing myself again. I remember those Cleveland snows and having to wait until the kids were napping before I could start snow blowing. Now that Chris is older it has always become his job. Empty Nest Syndrome or am I lazy? Don't answer. Allison is still sleeping of course. Well, it looks like most of the downhill driveway is done so I should go make some hot chocolate for the boy.
