Hi Jodie!

I am sooooo tired.
We pulled into the driveway last night at around 1:00 AM... it took another hour or so to wind down so that I could go to bed, and I guess because half of me is still on Florida time, I was back up at 5:00. I'm on my second or third cup of coffee and have popped a couple of caffeine laced Excederin and still feel as though I could fall asleep in my chair. Guess I'll have to give in after awhile and go back to bed.
I'm not sure I'm awake enough yet to write any sort of trip report, but will say that I had a wonderful time! The trip was too short, I didn't get to spend the kind of time with people that I wanted to, but am still grateful that I at least got to do as much as I did.

The trip started off on a bad note, and as a result, Cam and I were really WAY too tired our entire time there. I looked, felt and acted like one of Pam's roadkill critters. We were supposed to touch down in FL at 9:40 PM on the 4th. It was closer to 1:30 AM (I think...ask Elaine....she remembers everything

) ....the reason? Atlanta (had to catch a connecting flight) in the grips of stupid freezing icy weater.

We successfully made it ONTO the plane, and even managed to pull away from the gate! Wooo hooo!! Orlando, here we come!!!

NOT! We were in line to be "de-iced" when we suddenly lost all but emergency power. Something to do with the pilot shutting the engines down while waiting to be de-iced. No air, no lights, no BATHROOM, nooooo nothing. Ever try to pee in one of those little airplane bathrooms with no light? Not fun. We sat there for an hour... elderly lady next to me started having chest pains... at this point we're down to the emergency lights on the ceiling flashing because now the battery that runs THOSE is about to croak. Still... we sit there out in the middle of nowhere at the airport. The heat was unbearable. There's an EMT and dr. on the plane caring for poor lady. She's ok... just scared and short on oxygen.... flight attendants give her O2 and she starts feeling better. Apparantly we're waiting for the city of Atlanta to grant permission to allow a tow dude out onto the runway to come and tow us back to a gate. After about an hour or so, we're finally towed back and another hour later, put on another jet bound for Orlando. Poor Elaine had to wait up the entire time since I was rooming with her and had no key. The sweetie waited up for us the entire time.
All of that aside, we had a wonderful time, and it was a thrill getting to meet everyone!! I felt awful about one thing though.... I didn't get to say GOODBYE to Beanie or Karen.

I thought I would've seen you (Beanie) back at the hotel when we all headed back Friday night, but unfortunately I didn't. Soooo Beanie, HUGS to you.... it was wonderful meeting you and John, even though ya'll harrassed me and YOU picked on my choice of sig pics.

By the way... what's with saying that ELAINE is a sweetie... don't I get a sweetie comment too?

Apparantly Beanie didn't think I was a sweetie or like me as much as she liked Elaine. Ok... fine. *Sniff sniff* See if I care.

*Sigh*

Karen, one minute you were there, and the next, you were gone! I didn't realize you guys weren't coming back to get in line with us at the safari.

Belated {{{goodbye hugs}}} to you too.

It was such a thrill getting to meet some of my YaYa sisters! Beth and Dave are so much fun, Nancy is an absolute sweetie, (I'm sorry we missed you yesterday at the AK gate Nancy... we were running SO late!) Michele.... I didn't get a chance to tell you, but you do NOT have a lesbo cop haircut...

I thought it looked great.

By the way.... just how many pieces of that candy did YOU get to have?

Michele, was that you asking who else was there yesterday? My brain is still so foggy today.

It was Princess Michelle and Mickey's Sunshine...such sweeties.

I also had the pleasure of talking with our very own Tankdork for a couple of minutes!! Yay!!! Then there was Elaine.

So... do you ya'll want to hear about our little Dis Angel?

Well, the truth is that she's a sweetheart.

She is a kind, sweet, generous,
feisty , and fun little Ya~Ya. I couldn't have asked for a nicer (and more patient) roomate. You're a dear friend Elaine... thank you for everything.
Well, I'm still not caught up with ya'll... I'll work on that a little later today.
Ooops! Hi Michele! You sneated in ahead of me.
