Mornin'!
Popped in to say hey. I am off to a Ladies Craft/Luncheon at church this morning.
Probably won't be on again today!
Have a great day! :)

Good morning all!!! Sorry I didnt say night night last night but I sat down on the couch and promptly fell asleep LOL. Poor dh was left to put the kids to bed.

Deb and Jen that is so neat that you two will get the chance to meet!!!

Pam WOOOOOOO HOOOOO on the win. Good luck next game!!

Betty glad you had a good time at the play.

I dont have much of anything planned for today except maybe for getting the boys hair cut. Gonna take it easy this weekend so this cold doesnt get any worse.

I'm in the "I forgot to say good nite" corner, too. Sorry, girls.

YAY!!! Pam, congrats on the team's win. That's super!!

Jeannie---THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! The pix are marvelous and that is a wonderful one of Patrick Stewart! My DH is going to help me put one up of him in nice tight jeans that I took at a ST convention. Sigh......for a baldie, he ain't bad AT ALL!!!

Michele--I thought Mel was here with us too!!! I simply CANNOT do without Mel Gibson. He must be one of our boys!!!

Morning, Carol!! No croissants today? Oh well, the hips sure don't need 'em anyway.

Well, ladies.....I'm off to NJ to visit MIL and do a little tax-free shopping in Delaware. Gotta lay in supplies for our party now that we have a new disco ball for the room. I will pick up some of those multi-colored laser thingies too, Marilyn!! AND I will bring back some of NJ's finest state troopers to stand guard at our room. DH says they are better than Secret Service, so we should have no more break-ins, Marilyn and Carol! Your stuff will be SAFE!!! Hope to be back to the mansion tonight.

Love to all, kisses and hugs all around (especially to the "boys")
Beth

Good morning ladies and bother.

Beth, have a safe trip. And by all means, bring back at least 3 state troopers. ;)

Betty, sounds like you had a wonderful time. :bounce:

Pam, congrats on the win! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Jodie, we all want to hear about the ceremony, so be sure to post it for all the YaYa's.

Was anybody else beside myself and Timothy kept up all night by some loud hula music?

Well, chores for today, and tomorrow DS and DIL are picking us up to go look at their new townhouse. It's almost finished and soon my little chicks will be close to the home nest! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Have a good weekend everyone!

Good morning everybody!
Shopping is on thebooks for me here too today ...I am beginning my annual "oh my GOSH Christmas is right around the corner and I have so much shopping to do" hysteria!;) Although my "ornament " shopping is done and box should be mailed on Monday!!

Pam congrats on the football win!!

Betty glad the play was good and Robbie is mine tonight!!!

Elaine, good luck with the steam cleaner!

Jeannie....I don't see "Robbie" on your eye candy post!!

Bonnie...hope the weekend is smooth and easy sailing!!!

Dh has taken dd to be a "groom" at a riding stable in the area. She and a buddy will be taking care of horses all day...ahhhh, dd heaven! No pay, no lunch, no heat....no matter! As long as there are horses to nuzzle nothing else matters!! Hee hee! The fact that she has been sick the past 2 days isn't affecting her today although she is very pale. My "mommy instincts" screamed to keep her home but she swore she felt fine. Ugh! I know she loves them but those huge animals around these little girls scare me sometimes. But she does tell me she is not a little girl anymore. Sigh.... Have a good day everybody!!!

Wow, sounds like everyone is off to spend some hard earned cash :) Sorry it's not good shopping weather for you Carol!!!

Dh just told me he wants to go look for a new tv :( (I HATE Best Buy!) and out to lunch and the book store :) My favorite afternoon outting!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

His company got their financing so I also get to buy our plane tickets for WDW!!!! Waaahooooo!!!! AND I get to get my $$$$ yarn to make my sweater as my "something to do on Christmas vacation project" WOW is he being generous this morning!!!

hmmmm........wonder what he wants? ;)

Mornin Marilyn!! Glad the "chicks" will soon be home to roost!;) Thanks for reminding me about last night's ceremony! Well for you non- scouting folks....Girls Scouts have a rededication ceremony each year where the girls reaffirm their committment to Girl Scouting and all that it stands for thru the Girl Scout promise and laws. My girls have been in scouts now for 6 years and are approaching that "magical" teen stage where it's not totally "cool" anymore to be a Girl Scout. Reaching them on a "values" level can be tough without looking "oh so out of it". Last night's ceremony was approached with a lot of these:rolleyes: . Until I turned off the lights. Keep in mind we meet at night and the darkness gives this ceremony it's punch. The room is dark except for 13 lit candles on a table. My co-leader and I went thru the 3 parts of the promise and the 10 laws and offered the girls these questions: "What would the world be like if each of us decided not to serve God and country?" One candle was blown out. What would the world be like if each of us decided not to help people anymore? Another candle blown out. We did this through all of the laws, ending with a totally dark room full of Girl Scouts who "got the message". They each re-lit one candle and recommitted themselves to following the Promise and the laws, one law for each candle. No giggles. No rollyeyes. Understanding...finally. What a moment. It is so easy for these kids to rattle off the Promise with raised hands in order to move on to "the fun stuff" and never really "get it". I think age has a lot to do with it too. It takes a certain amount of "maturity" for this understanding to happen. We talked about this after the ceremony (spurred by GIRLS questions!) and compared the sweet little ceremonies we had when they were younger to this one, and I told them how proud I was of the young ladies they had become. Those of you who are leaders or parents of scouts or parents of teens know how infrequently these "moments" happen...it was a special night.

WOOHOOO Jennifer!!! Who cares what he wants? Buy first, ask questions later!!!:p Have a fun day!!

Wow Jodie!!!! You did it!!! You made it meaningful!!!! I bow to the master leader!!! (and tuck your ceremony away for when we get older :) ) Sounds like an amazing night!!! You should be really proud!

Hey, I'm caught up!
Jay, thankyou for the mint chocolate, I found the last square and it was delish!
Jennifer, ignore all my WDW questions, I've seen your countdown! I should open my eyes more...
I haven't got the hang of my fangs yet Kim. I fell asleep in front of a murder mystery last night (everyone I thought had done it had been murdered by the time I woke up). I told Roland I think I need to bite more houseboys. He's still puzzled.
Talking of which, Jeannie, I think you're wonderful, one of the best, a gift to humanity - how much crawling do I have to do to get Beckham off here? Have you heard him speak - eeeeeeeeee..... As I'm now into resurrecting the dead, can I have James Mason please? And the essential words are schokoladen Croissant, mmm, wonderful! Where did catfight come from? I want one!
Beth, a castle on the Rhine's a bit nippy, how about the gorgeous B&B in our village (being tested by Tiggerlover in 3 weeks) and a guided tour of all the cake shops in a 20 mile radius? Speaking of which, we found the best cafe I've ever seen this morning, cakes about a foot high, packed with every calorie known to ya yas, also going to be tested by Tiggerlover...
Michele, I've been keeping something from you. I miss the antlers. Please...? We could dangle little mirrors from their antlers to reflect the lasers!
Great news Karen - do you think you could manage a piece of the Shcawarzwälderkirschtorte I brought back from town? That's Black Forest Gateau!
Michele, same thing happened to my dad in the prison service and a friend in the police force - they both got there in the end!
And finally, I'd like to end this marathon with a great big GoOD MORNING TO NANCY who should just be joining us! See you all later!

Jodie that sounds like one amazing ceremony!!! Makes me think I missed out on a few things by not continuing scouts (our troup disbanded and I never bothered to find a new one)

Pam, congrats on the win!!! :bounce:

Jennifer, have fun shopping and spending. I am with Jodie, buy now, question later ;)

Marilyn, enjoy your day with your kids :)

I think I have figured out how to do the whole steam cleaner thing. Kohl's has it on sale for $239. Sears does a price match plus 10% and they are having 0% financing for 6 months (why not earn the interest off of that if I can, right?) So that will make a $300 cleaner now only $215! I think that's pretty good, don't you think?

Wow Elaine!! That's a great price!!! Which one are you getting? My friend has one that even picked up acryilc paint and nail polish! I always swore that's the one I would get.

Well hopefully I will get the HOover SteamVac V2 Deep Cleaner. Hoovers seem to be about the best there are out there that I can afford. I am not sure if it could get up acrylic paint out of carpet but they work just a nice as the pros do (for the most part). So I am off now to see if I can get this deal :)

SHe has a Hoover too (not sure the style) so I bet you're getting a good cleaner too!! Have fun!! Wanna come up and clean my carpets LOL!!!:p

 Yes, Carol....I'm here.
Boy, I think I need to alter my schedule. I'm way too predictable ;)

Jennifer.....ohhhh....bookstore shopping. I want to go!! Best Buy...not my favorite either, but beats the hardware store (DH's favorite).
Good luck with airline tickets. I hope you find a great buy.
They were fairly low when I was planning DS's trip, so I had to call him and get him to nail down a date....and bought them ASAP....they might go lower, but I don't like to wait and find out.
And you get to get your $$$$$ yarn :teeth: Yay!! Having money to spend is great!!

Elaine.....Yay!! For your steam cleaner too!! I love mine!!
Now if I could just get one of the houseboys to use it for me! ;)

Carol....sign me up for the cake shop tours. I'm definitely in!!

Michele......the top right eye candy is MINE!! :teeth:

Are all men alike or what? Best Buy . Is there a German Best Buy equivalent Carol?

We did dinner and late night bookstore roaming yesterday...hee!no bars, no clubs, I think I am becoming an elder YaYa(and glad of it!)!:):):)Have fun shopping everyone!

Beth...I thoughtI was intentionally misunderstanding the 'Patrick' eye candy...Stewart for Swayze but I'm glad someone enjoyed. You've got great taste in bald men!!!
Jodie-there's a young Robbie in the sig-the old ones wouldn't link???:confused:I guess he thought only the young one could keep up with the Mansions demands.:)

Michele-The bottom three David Beckham(Carol's stand-in, soon to be replaced by James Mason),Cam Mathison(Sherry's), and JUDE LAW!!!!!!(mine:teeth: ).

Carol-I'd never listened too closely when that boy speaks! I guess he should just concentrate on kicking the ball and going shirtless.:teeth:

And how could I forget Jay?<img height="150" src="http://www5.ocn.ne.jp/~halu/natalie.portman.jpg">

Well all I am back... steam cleaner in toe :) And we did get it for a grand total of $215 (plus tax). Since Hoovers never seem to go on sale for that much off I am thrilled to know we got such a good deal. I picked this one because it has those really cool scrubber brushes that you can remove to clean and because it is a Hoover. I used to borrow my cousins and it would do an amazing job... okay I love Hoovers too :teeth:

The only bad thing is my DH was trying to talk me into a new TV while we were at Sears  Men!!! :p

I am off to eat lunch and then play with my toy :) I'll tell you all how it does later :)

Congratulations on the great deal Elaine!!! I need to do some research and see which cleaners work on stone floors. I hate mopping!

Anyone have a good recipe for Chicken Quisadilla??(sp) I had one at the All Star Music foodcourt and Im actually craving one. Dh informed me that NO we couldnt go to WDW to get one this weekend. He is such a meanie!!! ROFL.
