Thanks Carol....Jodie sent her!!! She can be our holiday mascot (no...I haven't forgotten the moose!)

Just remember Dream!........what goes around comes around!!!!

Hee hee...did I sense a threat there Jennifer??:p

Morning Carol!! That is my Christmas card this year...inside it says, "It's Christmas! Can't you just FEEL it?!" Expresses how I feel during this wonderful season every year! I love the "Christmas spirit"!!!:p

Good morning YaYa sistuhs!

Whew, I'm glad I'm not the only who saw pigs flying last night. DH asked where they came from and I had to explain about Kim's, ummm, cooking(?). Yeh, that's it, cooking. :teeth:

Kim, I am so very sorry to hear about the DARE officer. Such heartwrenching, senseless violence. Prayers have been said for his family. {{HUGS}} to you.

You gals are just ornery... (read that word CAREFULLY Jay!)

:teeth: :teeth:

Have a safe and fun trip Jay!

Betty, I have such wonderful memories of trips to Gatlinburg. It was one of my father's favorite places to vacation. I have only been back once since he passed away, but I enjoyed it very much. Have a great time.

Bonnie and Jodie, those were really very nice poems. Just remember that those of us who are not very good at prose think the same about you and all the other YaYa sisters and bother.

Nancy! I need your help! I am making Thanksgiving dinner also. Chucks mom used to make the sweet potatoe caserole. I just haven't found a recipe that I really like. Would you mind sharing yours? Grandson called last night to double check the menu to make sure Nana (me) is making "all the right stuff". Then later DIL calls to make sure I am making green bean casserole! LOL I told grandson we were ordering from Boston Market! You could have heard a pin drop for a few seconds. Tee hee, love scaring the little buggers.

Beth! My pin arrived? Yahoo!

Oh, Kimmee. I kinda like the new Apolo pic. The look on his face can be interpreted in several different ways! ;)

Why... what ever could Marilyn possibly be talking about here? :p

I have some news concerning the shooting. On the news, just minutes ago, they said that police in Concord, New Hampshire have who they believe is the killer...he's not been taken into custody yet....apparantly there's a standoff taking place at a Holiday Inn. I'll keep you posted.

I'm headed to town to be with the kids when they walk down to watch the police procession prior to the memorial service.

I'll talk to you dear YaYas later today. :)

WOW they all look fabulous!!! I'm going to take the dip to TG!!!!!

Wow...that was a fast decision.
I'll think o fyou when we have it on TG here :)

 A quick good morning to all.

{{{hugs}}} Kim. those kids (and you) will need it.

We were very domestic last night......recipe talk and then switched to Hitchcock!! LOL...what a combination.

Marilyn....I'm actually trying a new sweet potato casserole this year. Do you want that one?
My old one used (ack,,,,) canned sweet potatoes......but you could use fresh and precook them. This one is a typical one with a glaze and marshmallows on top.
The new one, the potatoes are mashed and layered with marshmallows in the middle.
Just let me know....I'm a recipe machine!! :teeth:

And one trifle recipe coming up :)
Then I need to get going........
Have a good day everyone.

It's quick and easy...or so it seems...and on TG that's what I like. Also sounds quite yummy!
Only change I'm making is chocolate chips instead of peanut butter ones because DD (the fussy one ;) ) doesn't like peanut butter.

Morning everyone! Just stopping by before heading out to the airport a bit later. I'm putting the finishing touches on my packing. I'm packing for cool/cold weather, so it better not be warm! :p

I always knew Kim was "onery". :teeth: Frist kinky, now this. ;) :teeth: :teeth: Oh, wait, she was calling everyone *else* that. I'm in a beach house full of "onery" women. :teeth: Since I won't be here for a while, let me reiterate how much I like being the only guy here. :smooth:

I have one small favor to ask. Kim, Elaine or anyone who has a moment, I'm sure by the time I get back we'll have moved on to a new house, so if you could be so kind as to sending me the link, I would *greatly* appreciate it. :) Thank you!!! :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Talk w/ you when I get back! Bye!!

 Bye Jay!! Hope you're feeling better.
Enjoy Thanksgiving!!

Have a good day all......off to the dentist we go ;)

Happy Thanksgiving Jay!

Nancy, DH likes them they way your "old recipe" makes them. I personally would love the new way! But, I must make him happy, so the old way would be great. Thanks Nancy. :D

Have a safe trip, Jay! Happy Thanksgiving! :)

Nancy, that trifle recipe sounds sooo yummy! I will definitely have to try that one. LOVE anything chocolate! :teeth:

Hi all! I am tired again today and have a lot to do... my mind is in a million places at a time right now. But I just wanted to say hi to you all :)

Jay have a save trip and if we are moved by the time I leave for WDW, I will be sure to let you know where we have moved to. I also hope Luis has been able to help you with your computer problems :)

Thanks everyone!! :) I'm feeling better. Still don't have much of a voice, but still better. :)

Well, I ended up packing faster than I thought, so I have a couple extra minutes on my hands to check in again. :)

Elaine, Luis sent me some tips, but I just haven't had time to try them yet. Between work and getting ready to leave, my time has been extremely limited. Please tell him thank you & I'll try his suggestions when I get back. :) I really do appreciate his help!! Also, thanks for sending the link!! :)

Okay, bags are packed, animals are about set, now it's time to make one last run thru the house and grab some lunch before we go.

Happy Thanksgiving!! :)

WHooo-eeeeee what a morning! My 16 mile commute took me an hour and 20 minutes because some idiot couldn't move his broken down car out of the line of traffic onto the grass!!!!

All this talk about food is making me hungry, too! That layered sweet-potato casserole sounds positively scrumptious! Too bad I'm the only one in the house who likes sweet potates. Growing up, we always had Waldorf salad with Thanksgiving dinner. Did or do any of you do that? I can't get my dh to eat it at all and I really miss it! And, Nancy, that Sweetheat Trifle looks decadent!! Doesn't the substitution of chocolate chips make it just tooooooo chocolate? What do you think of using Heath Bars instead of Crunch? Or maybe Butterfinger, if you use the peanut butter chips!

Jodie, I LOVE your Christmas card that Jennifer is using in her siggy!! That little girl is just the complete embodiment of the Christmas spirit!!! And, Jennifer, thanks for sharing her! She just makes me want to hug her!!!

Kim, that is so good of you to be with Cam and his classmates to watch the procession. I've never known a school to allow that, but then, I've never known a school to lose it's DARE officer either. Such a sad experience for those kids. Any new update from New Hampshire?

Sorry I missed Jay before he left. Hope he has a safe and happy trip.

Well, better get back to work for a bit. Catch you all later!

Jay,
Have fun and drive safely!

Beth,
You'd think you lived in Pittsburgh with that kind of commute!!

Betty,
I want to see photos of your DD! (Oh to have been 14 and had boobs - don't mind me, just wishful thinking on my part while reflecting back on my teenage years!!) That dress sounds divine! I am cracking up about your comments on the jewelry costing as much as the dress! WAIT!! Did you get new shoes and a purse, too? And a disposable camera to take the dance? Do the guys dress up or just wear whatever. Back here, even for Homecoming, the guys just wear a shirt and tie or shirt and sweater. No one wears a suit! They do rent, however, tuxes for Prom.

Pam

OK - more catching up....

Michele & Karen,
Hope you're feeling better!

Elaine,
Take a nap, girl!!!!:D

Jeannie,
Just because I haven't been around lately, I heard that you're still calling me Peepin' Pam!!

Nancy,
Your DD sounds just like mine! We fight over internet time every day! I'm so glad that we get cable internet next week. :bounce:
Pam

But wait - there's more...... in addition to the ginzo knife set and the vacuum/hair cutting device.......... if you continue to read my posts you will get the pot of fresh roadkill stew absolutely FREE. It's my way of saying, "Thanks for reading my posts."

Kim,
Sorry to hear about the murder of your DARE officer. Do you have an update on the standoff situation?

Jennifer,
Please make a pair of the gloves for yourself, you deserve them!

Marilyn,
Don't forget, it's your turn to come over for supper tonight!

Sherry,
What time is the bongo/go-go girls practice?

Where's Bonnie?
Pam

Dream,
Your poems are divine, as always!

Carol,
Thanks for the PMs. I was really sick over the weekend, and hustling to get the newspaper finished, so I didn't answer. Sorry.:(

Don't forget, it's your turn to come over for supper tonight!

Oh gosh darn anyway. Ya know Pam, nothing would make me happier than to come to your house for dinner tonite, but I promised DH that with company coming over for Turkey Day, that I would take the extra time to scrub the kitchen floor with a toothbrush tonite. Unfortunately, I am afraid it will take hours, and hours and hours and hours and hours.

Thanks for the PMs. I was really sick over the weekend

Gosh, I wonder why......

(Glad you are feeling better Pam)

Go-Go Girls practice? Ooohhh, lime green go-go boots with tassles on them? :bounce: :bounce:

Yes Betty, we definately want pictures after the dance.

Jodie, Jeannie, Bonnie. Where is everyone?

OK, I am worried about Debbie. Has anyone heard from her at all?

Debbie, come out, come out wherever you are. We miss you. :(
