Hello all.
I just had to stop in and tell all of you about the fun mail day I had today. Collecting the mail isn't something I do every day. Most of the time, my extra large p.o. box is over flowing by the time I get around to picking it up. One thing that's not unusual for me to find, along with my enormous pile of mail, is a little yellow card. The little yellow card, in my case, usually means: "We have more mail waiting for you in the office, because we got tired of trying to squeeze it into your box".

They hate me there. That's ok... I'm not all that crazy about them either. They put bills in my box. I hate that. Today, I decided I would make myself stop and check the mail. I pulled all the bills, (yuk) and junk mail out of the box. Sure enough...there was a little yellow card. In fact... there were two. That's not terribly unusual either. It usually means: "We've told you once and now we're telling you AGAIN... come and get your mail Kim!!!" Mixed in with the bills (yuk) and junk mail, I found a key. One of those funky little keys that goes to the lockers that store packages! Yay! I got a package!! I went to the lockers, found the right locker number and opened it. Inside was a package from a lady I think you all know. Her name is Jodie.

Okay, so then I walked to the office. I gave the grouchy guy behind the counter my two yellow cards. He disappeared. He came back with... two packages instead of a 5 lb. rubber banded pile of bills (yuk) and junk mail!!! One said that it was from Yankee candle! Yay!! The next one said that it was from someone with the last name of Driscoll. Hmmm.

I brought my bills, (yuk) junk mail and 3 packages home. I made myself a cup of coffee, and sat down at the kitchen table with my three packages. I asked myself which one I should open first. Myself decided I should open the Yankee package first. After all... I knew what was in there... no surprises there, especially since I ordered the stuff. Inside were the last 12 remaining Patchouli & Clove votives left on the face of the planet.
Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but they were the only ones that Yankee claimed to have in their possession when I called last week. Votives out of the way... I started to open Jodie's package next. Inside, I found my DisCon SnowJodie/Dream button! Yay! In addtion to the button, were two little memo/note pads. Each pad had a different little saying on them. I'm wondering what made Jodie think of me when she saw these memo pads.

Methinks you ladies know me better than I realized.

One pad read: "Signed, She Who Must Be Obeyed". Jodie, I 'm thinking of using one of those when I write a reminder note to Tom about the CDs.

The other pad shows a little frazzled kitty and says: "I Am Perfectly Calm". That's me. Much as I try to deny it, that's me.

The third thing in Jodie's package was.... umm... well... a frog.

A little frog figurine.

This is the most hilarious looking froggie!! He kind of reminds me of Michigan J. Frog from Bugs Bunny!

He's wearing a Santa hat and is holding a Christmas package that says: "For You".

I thought about kissing him to see if he turned into you know who, but then I saw that he had blue eyes, so decided it probably wasn't him.

Which... brings me to the next package!!
Is anyone still reading this novelette? Well... all I can say is, if I can ever figure out a way to fix any and all future YaYa exchanges, so that I always get Jennifer, believe me... I will!!

Jennifer, you are amazing!! I'll start with the card.
Sorry... yes I even have to tell you about the card... it was too perfect! Like Jodie with the memo pads, Jennifer pegged my personality perfectly with this card. It shows a smilie displaying her various personality traits. The PMS smilie (think fangs) was especially accurate.

Next... the ornament. It's a
beautiful red glass ball ornament with Tinker Belle sitting on top and on the ball, Jennifer wrote (in silver glitter glue) "Ya Ya sister"! It's gorgeous, and she did such an incredible job on the writing!! My writing is so sloppy!!

Next... two Yankee votives!! Oh my, do they smell wonderful!!! One is Cranberry Chutney, the other is Blueberry Muffin... one of Nancy's favorites, I believe.

Jennifer, did you remember me talking with Nancy about how I wanted to try that one, or was this just a neat little YaYa coincidence?

Next...
Yes there's more!!! was a cup.

A One-of-a-Kind cup!

It has a very special label on it. It reads: Kama89 and under that, it says: Official Member of the the DUCT TAPE PATROL, and under that, it says: Kamahulalovesadorkaskater!!!

To the left of the text is a roll of lime green duct tape and a NO ZURG symbol. To the right of the text, is.... MY SWEETIE!!!

NEXT... another ornament!!! A miniature pair of pewter ice skates!!

NEXT...
I told you she was amazing! was a very large heavy duty Christmas oven mitt (beautiful!) with a note attached that said: "In case you were thinking about making Christmas cookies". Hee hee!

Last but most definitely not least...
the softest, most beautifully knitted pair of lime green fingerless (Do these type have a special name Jennifer?) gloves you have ever seen!! I immediately put them on and if I could get away with wearing them all day, every day, I would!

They are SO cozy!!! You two ladies brought tears to my eyes today. You have both touched me more than you'll ever know. It's been a rough couple of days for me, and these symbols of your friendship made me smile so much!!! From the bottom of my heart... THANK YOU.

My little frog has a place of honor on top of my monitor. He is sitting in the center... and to his right, is my little Timon figurine. Sitting on my tower, keeping my Tag Fairy Minnie company, is my One-of-a-Kind cup. I have the two candles sitting here next to me, and let me tell you, they smell heavenly!
Again... Thank you so much to Jennifer and Jodie! I hope our YaYa meet becomes a reality someday, so that I can give you both great big hugs.
