Afternoon Ya Yas, don't be whiney
The Beach house is on page 90!!!:earseek:
Some serious thought we must give
To our next place to live!!!
Dis-con and turkeys will part us for awhile
We all better know the plan for the next mile!!!
Any ideas Ya Ya sistas
As to what will be our next vista??

:) :)

Carol! Sorry about your VCR!!!

jessie_button01.gif

lilboo thought she'd be lassoin' her man
But she'd be comfy with any other plan
The wild, wild west has its allure
But perhaps we'll take a different tour?

Italy and its Renaissance air
Or baguettes, berets and men named Pierre?
Oh la la...perhaps we'll see
What we can find in gay Paris!!!!

Or perhaps we can try the Middle East
(We'll dream there is harmony and peace :()
The best thing about the Arabian charm
Is that maybe we'll keep an all-male HAREM!!!

Well, I'll leave you all to ponder and think
The places we'll go, the liquor we'll drink(Pam, Marilyn behave!!!)
Wherever we go, happy we'll be
As long was we remain the YaYa FAMILY!!!!

HEEHEEE! {{{hugs}}} to Carol's Video Recorder...get well soon!:teeth:

I'm back. :) Hey, am I considered a suckup if the boss calls me and says he's taking my team out to lunch? Hmmmmm.... I vote no, but that's just me. :) Lunch was good, but long. Since we don't see each other in person, it turns into a long chat-fest. Although w/ me not feeling well, I wasn't very chatty.

Carol, a moment of silence for the now departed VCR....

Well, I may be able to get over this w/o getting sick. So far it's just a sinus/throat thing. I'm on all sorts of meds, so as long as I don't get an infection, I should be okay. But the week of Thanksgiving is *NOT* a good time for something like this to happen. Oh well....

Time to be productive & get my last work project off my desk, then throw in some laundry. And dig out the suitcases.

The places we'll go, the liquor we'll drink(Pam, Marilyn behave!!!)

You can't possibly be referring the the innocent Pam and innocent Marilyn on THIS thread, could you?!

Well, Pam wanted little green men from Mars that morphed into hunky guys in space, and I think Beth like that too. A cool "Star Trekky" type ship with a halographic room sounds pretty good.

I also like the barn/western/dude ranch theme. I love a man in tight jeans, smellin' of leather, watching those muscles ripple while he pitches hay.....oh my, I think I will stop right there. :o

Either place is fine with me. Gotta find me a new cabanamarswesterndorkman anyway. Just let me know, cause it will have a bearing on who I pick....how he will look in a tight space suit or tight jeans.

Hope your VCR feels better soon Carol.

:o :o :o :o SOrry Jay, no offense intended.:) I was commenting on your shameless tushy kissing from the other day AND THEN I wanted to concur with you on the value of a free lunch.:p:p:p

Oh help us...DUDE RANCH theme...Marilyn and Pam are probably going to make moonshine or whatever in their rooms, all the while hollering things like, "What in Tarnation!!!! Catch that little varmint Peepin' Pam...I want to cook me up some gopher stew-yeehaww!":p:p:p

Jeannie I LOVE the idea of Paris!
Parisian cabana boys in tight leather pants...dare us?
Parisian lights twinkling on one by one
Viewed from the Eiffel tower after the sun.
A more romantic place there just isn't
But is it romance we want...just quizzin!
What do ya"ll think about Paris you guys?
And gazing into a Frenchman's eyes?

Hello all.

I just had to stop in and tell all of you about the fun mail day I had today. Collecting the mail isn't something I do every day. Most of the time, my extra large p.o. box is over flowing by the time I get around to picking it up. One thing that's not unusual for me to find, along with my enormous pile of mail, is a little yellow card. The little yellow card, in my case, usually means: "We have more mail waiting for you in the office, because we got tired of trying to squeeze it into your box". They hate me there. That's ok... I'm not all that crazy about them either. They put bills in my box. I hate that. Today, I decided I would make myself stop and check the mail. I pulled all the bills, (yuk) and junk mail out of the box. Sure enough...there was a little yellow card. In fact... there were two. That's not terribly unusual either. It usually means: "We've told you once and now we're telling you AGAIN... come and get your mail Kim!!!" Mixed in with the bills (yuk) and junk mail, I found a key. One of those funky little keys that goes to the lockers that store packages! Yay! I got a package!! I went to the lockers, found the right locker number and opened it. Inside was a package from a lady I think you all know. Her name is Jodie. :) Okay, so then I walked to the office. I gave the grouchy guy behind the counter my two yellow cards. He disappeared. He came back with... two packages instead of a 5 lb. rubber banded pile of bills (yuk) and junk mail!!! One said that it was from Yankee candle! Yay!! The next one said that it was from someone with the last name of Driscoll. Hmmm. :) I brought my bills, (yuk) junk mail and 3 packages home. I made myself a cup of coffee, and sat down at the kitchen table with my three packages. I asked myself which one I should open first. Myself decided I should open the Yankee package first. After all... I knew what was in there... no surprises there, especially since I ordered the stuff. Inside were the last 12 remaining Patchouli & Clove votives left on the face of the planet. Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but they were the only ones that Yankee claimed to have in their possession when I called last week. Votives out of the way... I started to open Jodie's package next. Inside, I found my DisCon SnowJodie/Dream button! Yay! In addtion to the button, were two little memo/note pads. Each pad had a different little saying on them. I'm wondering what made Jodie think of me when she saw these memo pads. :teeth: Methinks you ladies know me better than I realized. :o One pad read: "Signed, She Who Must Be Obeyed". Jodie, I 'm thinking of using one of those when I write a reminder note to Tom about the CDs. The other pad shows a little frazzled kitty and says: "I Am Perfectly Calm". That's me. Much as I try to deny it, that's me. :o The third thing in Jodie's package was.... umm... well... a frog. A little frog figurine. :teeth: This is the most hilarious looking froggie!! He kind of reminds me of Michigan J. Frog from Bugs Bunny! :p He's wearing a Santa hat and is holding a Christmas package that says: "For You". :) I thought about kissing him to see if he turned into you know who, but then I saw that he had blue eyes, so decided it probably wasn't him. :p Which... brings me to the next package!! ;) Is anyone still reading this novelette? Well... all I can say is, if I can ever figure out a way to fix any and all future YaYa exchanges, so that I always get Jennifer, believe me... I will!! :) Jennifer, you are amazing!! I'll start with the card. Sorry... yes I even have to tell you about the card... it was too perfect! Like Jodie with the memo pads, Jennifer pegged my personality perfectly with this card. It shows a smilie displaying her various personality traits. The PMS smilie (think fangs) was especially accurate. :o Next... the ornament. It's a beautiful red glass ball ornament with Tinker Belle sitting on top and on the ball, Jennifer wrote (in silver glitter glue) "Ya Ya sister"! It's gorgeous, and she did such an incredible job on the writing!! My writing is so sloppy!! :( Next... two Yankee votives!! Oh my, do they smell wonderful!!! One is Cranberry Chutney, the other is Blueberry Muffin... one of Nancy's favorites, I believe. :) Jennifer, did you remember me talking with Nancy about how I wanted to try that one, or was this just a neat little YaYa coincidence? :bounce: Next... Yes there's more!!! was a cup. :teeth: A One-of-a-Kind cup! :) It has a very special label on it. It reads: Kama89 and under that, it says: Official Member of the the DUCT TAPE PATROL, and under that, it says: Kamahulalovesadorkaskater!!! :teeth: To the left of the text is a roll of lime green duct tape and a NO ZURG symbol. To the right of the text, is.... MY SWEETIE!!! :p NEXT... another ornament!!! A miniature pair of pewter ice skates!! :teeth: NEXT... I told you she was amazing! was a very large heavy duty Christmas oven mitt (beautiful!) with a note attached that said: "In case you were thinking about making Christmas cookies". Hee hee! :p Last but most definitely not least... the softest, most beautifully knitted pair of lime green fingerless (Do these type have a special name Jennifer?) gloves you have ever seen!! I immediately put them on and if I could get away with wearing them all day, every day, I would! :p They are SO cozy!!! You two ladies brought tears to my eyes today. You have both touched me more than you'll ever know. It's been a rough couple of days for me, and these symbols of your friendship made me smile so much!!! From the bottom of my heart... THANK YOU. :) My little frog has a place of honor on top of my monitor. He is sitting in the center... and to his right, is my little Timon figurine. Sitting on my tower, keeping my Tag Fairy Minnie company, is my One-of-a-Kind cup. I have the two candles sitting here next to me, and let me tell you, they smell heavenly!

Again... Thank you so much to Jennifer and Jodie! I hope our YaYa meet becomes a reality someday, so that I can give you both great big hugs. :)

Kim, that is terrific. Sounds like you got some pretty neat stuff from a couple of pretty neat ladies. Enjoy it all! :Pinkbounc

Hi everybody!!

Sorry, the computer geek was here at the office working on my computer today and I have not been able to post!!! I was about to go into withdrawal!!!!!! The good news is, the CD drive is bad (duh....why do you think we called you??!!) and when he replaced it, the floppy drive died too!!! The new CD drive doesn't work either so the boss has ordered me a new computer. Hey!!! I've only been on the job just over a month and I already rate a new computer!! Not bad, huh??!!!

Kim--sounds like Christmas came a little early for you this year!! What a wonderful surprise! BTW, I kinda noticed that these Ya Yas were pretty special!

Sherry & Pam, I am so glad you are on the road to recovery. Keep it up.

Now Jay is coming down with it?!! FIGHT, Jay, FIGHT!!! Don't let the sinuses win!!! Can't have you sick for T-day! Glad you got a nice lunch out of the deal. Doncha just HATE those meetings that turn into chat-fests? SO unproductive!!! Makes me want to scream!! Instead of talking about how much work needs to get done, how about we quit meeting and just DO it!!!

So, Nancy--the Vicks worked? Hope your nose stays unstuffed. I doe ids nod fun when you cand breade!!

If we're heading for the dude ranch next, can I have an Appaloosa horse and Toby Keith for my cabana boy? If it's Paris, Oooh-laa-laa!!! and Oui-Oui!!! I think I'll just hang on to Jean-Luc Picard--he does those Shakespearean sonnets sooooooo well!! Think we'll move before Sunday when I leave for WDW? If not, please leave me a trail to follow to find you all when I get back!!!

:p :p That's okay. LOL! Not sure if everyone has seen my "sucking up", but hey, that's what my marketing degree is for. :p Well, that and cleaning up spills in the kitchen (those diplomas are highly absorbant). Since I'm not in marketing now, you can see how I apply those five years of studying and hard work. I challenge anyone to top that little effort I put forth. :p I'll have you know, I didn't even bring balloons, flowers or the band for the occassion either. Just drinks and munchies. :)

The lunch was okay. We've had a bunch of folk join us over the last few weeks, so just to bring everyone up to speed on why I had to go in today, well, I telecommute. I *rarely* ever go to the office. My boss lives & works in Houston, but was in town for a few days, so he's working from here today & tomorrow. Such is my life.... and I won't complain about it at all. :teeth:

Beth, I'm sucking down meds & vitamins like candy (so to speak), so if I *do* get sick, it's not without a fight!! :)

Hi Kimmie! Sounds like you got some good stuff!! Cool!!! A pic of your sweetie?? How did they get a picture of me to put in there?? :p :teeth:

Back to work.... Time to finish up a few things so I can have a clean desk. :)

yay!! It came!!!!! You were really hard to shop for Kim!!! Jodie helped me get started! THanks Jodie!!!

I forgot to put on your gloves that they are your WW lime green gloves :teeth: I don't know if it gets cold enough for you to use them where you are....but I fell in love with them and the yarn and had to make them for you.

Now, I sent you another box today with your dis con hat....SO CHECK YOUR MAIL KIM!!!!! should be there in 2 days they said :)

Ok, off to ponder dinner..... ever have a day where your kids just won't give you 2 seconds of peace to think?????? I think I'm about to pop! Why don't 4 year olds come with mute buttons? :p

Hi all! I am back from my drug test and fingerprinting. Boy, was that fun!!

Kim, sounds very nice....what sweet yaya's we have here!!

Now for a moment of silence for the dead video recorder....

Jay, glad you enjoyed your lunch. I hope you won't get sick. Have a great trip and Thanksgiving!!

Hi Beth!!

Well off to think about dinner!!

Kim! You had me in suspense through the whole half of that novella!!!!:p:p:p

That's so incredible!!!!! I'm so glad that Santa Dream and Santa Driscoll could make your day like that!!!:):):)

Sorry to be insensitive about the Video Recorder i didn't realize that it was DEFINITIVELY DEAD.:(:(:( May it REST IN PEACE.

Ack....I forgot the most important thing!! I mailed my yaya OE priority mail today...I hope you get it before Thanksgiving!

Hi all... kind of sort of long day for me, but I am here and happy to listen to you all chatting away :)

I did a stupid thing this morning... I drank coffee. Well for many of you that isn't a big deal but I haven't had coffee in years (literally) and even though I mixed a packet of hot chocolate in with it, it still kind of "burned" my stomach. So I had better find something nice and "bready" for dinner tonight (maybe waffles)

So long day here and I swear I really do read all you have to say everyone (including Kimmies life story from today in there ;)) but I am a little tired and just wnat to take a long shower to relax myself right now. I'll be back later :)

Well Miss Kimmie I am glad you had such a good day!!! Good days need to always happen to good people!!! Now haven't I warned you for months that I was going to send ya a frog?? HAHAHAH...I found him when I found Bonnie's hula Santa....got another:rolleyes: from the ornament lady as I got a case of the giggles over that cute little amphibian!!! I get the giggles in card shops too...do any of you guys do that??? Sigh..... :p The note cards? I just thought they were cute that's all....didn't make me think of you at all reallly....yeah ...that's right...not at all!:p :p
Hope the "Dream" button will work for you....thanks for representing me at discon!!! Elaine you should get yours soon!
Jennifer....good job with Kim's box!!! Man, give that woman a little idea or two and she rolls with it!!!;) :p

Gotta run guys...dinner to make...see ya'll later!!!

Hi Kimmie! Sounds like you got some good stuff!! Cool!!! A pic of your sweetie?? How did they get a picture of me to put in there??
Jay...Jennifer couldn't find a picture of my number one sweetie, so she had to settle for number two instead. ;) Now if you wouldn't mind sending me those pictures again you sent me once before, I would gladly make a second cup to place next to this one. :p Or better yet.... who knows, I may even place you in my signature someday. ;) :p ;)

Jennifer, The hats are just adorable!! Thank you again for thinking of Cam... that will help to make him feel included in all of the Dis action happening back there. :) By the way, it definitely gets cold enough to wear the gloves here... especially for a cold weather wimp like me! I'm also planning to take them to WDW with me. :teeth:

What, me hard to buy for?!? No way! I'm an open book; blabbling every little opinion and preference here that comes into my wee little brain. I don't know what suggestions Jodie gave you, but they must've been good, your choices were perfect.

Oh, for those that mentioned Cam's picture... yes he's the one in red. :)

Elaine, step away from the coffee cup. Save that stuff for the caffeine addicted YaYas (like yours truly) from now on. Heck, most of the time I don't bother with coffee.... I just pop a few chocolate covered roasted coffee beans and I'm good for the day. :teeth:

Yep, leave the coffee to the real coffee drinkers. I'll have to stick to Coke from now on.

Jodie, looking forward to your package :) I can't wait to see this button!

Speaking of buttons, I saw the one that Betty & Bonnie have for Mskanga! It looks wonderful and such a cute picture of you both :)

I must be tired because I am not too talkative right now. Maybe I'll go sit and pout for a while

I love these things!!!!!!
Santa puts several bags in my stocking every year!!!! They're always gone by Valentines day!! :teeth:

Ok...so....I can't keep a secret to save my life....Kim...with your hats I sent Cam a little something from his yaya auntie :teeth: We were at TDS and I couldn't resist!!! It's a must for every disney comando! I have to get in good with him after all....gotta convince him living in Michigan is WAY better than Ohio (BETTY!). ;)
