I'm a traditionalist. I like Usnuz's butter and syrup.

I like that too, but not so much syrup. It's a little too sweet for me so I don't use much or use it often. Plus the PB adds protein and makes it easier to get the chocolate chips to stick. ;)

I also use the sugar free syrup....It's been 2 1/2 hours since breakfast. We're going to the grocery store after we check out. I better eat again so I don't buy out the store.
 

Sausages, or bacon helps. But when I make waffles I try not to make more dishes dirty. I think I eat less bacon in general because I don't like wiping up the splatter.
 
I only have the waffles when we are at one of these places where they give you the batter and you pour it in. No clean up for me and they usually have bacon/sausage already made!

At home I cook bacon by the pound. I have a special pan with a baking rack that fits perfectly inside the rack. I lay the strips of bacon on it and cook for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. If I'm going to eat it then, I let it go another 7-10 minutes, but I save the rest in a baggie with a paper towel to sop up the grease. Then I cook the strips 2-3 at a time in the micro for sandwiches or toppings, or to wrap a steak. Much easier than cleaning up the spatter. :thumbsup2
 
I make waffles on the weekends or DS vacation days. And sometimes for dinner if I have whip cream, strawberries and bananas.

If I made bacon that way I would have it three times a day until it was gone, the next day.

For me it's a delicacy that I rarely buy, and enjoy on trips only.
 
I haven't had any bacon since I realized I wouldn't fit the German Dress. I had just bought 4 lbs at Costco the week before.
 
I dont use regular syrup, I also use sugar free that way I am not eating sugar. I am trying to stay away from it. It has been awhile since I used the sugar in my cupboard. I dread xmas, as I make stuff with it and oh I have a hard time resisting. If I make bacon on the stove I use some tinfoil to cover it up so no splatter.
 
You know what is better than bacon? Well nothing, but I really like sausage patties.
 
Your right nothing is better than bacon. Speaking of food I need to go to the grocery store. Its to hot today. I already did all the laundry. UGH
 
Good moaning! Running out the door for another day in the salt mines. Wish I could duke it out for LAST.

Still.....now I want waffles and bacon for breakfast.

We just finished lunch at Red Lobster, so I'm ready for a nap, not the grocery store.
 
What was good there? I have a gift card. Oh I have another cruise lined up but need to see about a date for it.
 
They just started their shrimp promo, so I had the shrimp trio. Breaded shrimp, scampi, and with pasta. I got broccoli and a salad and took a bunch home in the cooler. We have dinner for a few days between last night & today.
 
Lasting enroute to work. Very sleepy and generally not feeling good. Oh well...still to work I go...

I'm glad there's no food porn up. Feeling a bit queasy as it is with all the talk of waffles and bacon :sick:
And I'm normally one to gobble those up.

For now....I'm last!!
