Ours wasn't too bad, maybe 45 minutes. But that includes doing his schedule for next year.

45 min is our typical IEp meeting, for a student graduating HS maybe an hour. Hope his schedule for next year looks good :thumbsup2

I'll join the group by saying-I still have a bad toothache and I even went back on Wed and had the temp crown re-adjusted-now the pain is worse-Ughhh(every time they mess with it the nerve just gets irritated):headache:

But Just praying that the permament crown is a better fit-which I'm sure it will be;)

for now I'm just popping the Motrin ans it seems to do the trick!!!:)

YIKES!!! it seems like its taking forever for the perm. crown. :wizard: hope it feels better soon

Anyways...

We went to NC for Mon and Tues and had a good time-the Puppy-not so much-:rolleyes1

Darn dog was eating everything there and developed a bad case of stomache bug from it-which apparently Catie never heard the poor thing wimpering about all night and she ended up making a huge mess in her crate-Yuck!!!

That was fun to deal with all morning Wed:scared:

I'm so not a morning person-it that wasn't a good one around here, but she's back to normal and will now be going to the Vet anytime we go there again-I'm just not going to go thru that again!!!

Sorry about the clean up. :scared:

Glad you had a good time in NC:flower3:

Kathy, drink plenty of fluids and I hope you feel better soon.

I'm drinking, I'm drinking!! :rotfl:

I was just sooooo sound asleep and someone called for DH. It was one of those "really good sleeps when you're sick type of sleep."

Sorry about the puppy Kim. That's one thing I cannot deal with! :sad2:

One of these times when you head up to NC we're gonna have to see if we can meet. Maybe in the summer. :confused3

We're pleased. He is graduating this year and then going back as a "Super Senior" next year. Do you do that up there? He has all of the core classes he needs and all of his elective hours so he will be graduating with a diploma.

Next year he will have IEP Math, IEP English, Horticulture and Strength Training as his electives. The rest of the day will be at the sheltered workshop for work hours and job shadowing.

Back up again! They called from work for some help with something!

Sure is a slow day around here.

Wonder where Kevin's been??? :confused3

I like the title "super senior" makes it sound better than 5th or 6th year.

but yes, they graduate and then return for voc ed or transition classes. Sometimes a remedial class for math or reading. we call it the step program... "step towards the future"

congrats on a HS graduate!!!

DH just went to town for some groceries. Matthew has a dance tonight and I HAVE to make some wraps for the dance. I certainly don't feel like it but that's what we do for our kids isn't it! :lmao:

Anyway, while he's in town he's going to get some KFC for me - chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, macaroni and cheese ~and~ an extra mac & cheese for later! True comfort food! He must love me! :teeth:

Supposedly the two seniors this year that will be super seniors next year will be the last allowed to come back as "super seniors". Some new NC law that says once they "walk" in the graduation ceremony they're done. If they want to take full advantage of school until they're 21 as the law says they can then they have to postpone their actual graduation until then. I don't think that's fair at all and we really had to push for them to let A.J. walk this year. My feeling, though, is that he's stayed on track for the past four years and he's gotten all the credits that he had to have to graduate so he should be able to graduate and go through all the ceremonies with "his" class if he wants to. He has gone to school with some of this year's graduating class since kindergarten!
