OK-off to get a bite of Breakfast and then get the Kids up and moving-Be back later :cool2:

instead of a touring plan, I am making a checklist of things I want to do, like see mickey, have a dole whip, take a ton of pictures..... ;)

That's how we do things as well. We never say this attraction, then that, then lunch, etc. We even randomize which direction we turn in a park, left or right, so we do things in a different order each time.

This picture was in our newspaper. I think it's just the coolest pic....

Morning Kevin!

Hope you're planning to spend today posting more pics! ::yes::

Oh yes. There will be more today. I'll have to see how far I get this morning. I know you'll probably be leaving for work soon, but it should be waiting for you later.

Morning :wave2:

Kevin Love the trip report so far!!!! So do you have a DVC membership-we're thinking about getting in on it, but DH is still not sold on it yet:rolleyes:

Yes, we are DVC owners at Saratoga Springs. We wish we had bought sooner, but we love it now! Our room for this last stay would have cost us over $1,600, but was $0 cash. Our trip in July would be well over $4,000 for the room, but again, $0. Of course, there is a buy in cost, and dues for upkeep and such, but we figure we will break even in only 4 years, and after that, the savings will be tremendous.

How we looked at it was simple, we are planning a Disney trip every year (actually, we have 4 trips in 3 years planned, and maybe another!), and we like the amenities in the deluxe resorts, so we prepay for our rooms now, and 20 years from now, when a room will cost $1,000 or more a night, our cost will still be a few hundred a year in dues. Saving us literally thousands in room costs. When we are ready, we can transfer the points to the boys.

Now we are ready to add-on already! We want to make sure both the boys have enough points each to take a good vacation every year with their family in the future. Of course, we'll be using the points for at least the next 30 years or so, but we'll be taking them and their families with us. :rolleyes1

I hope I haven't sounded too much like a commercial, and it isn't Disney's best kept secret anymore, but it was a great fit for us. If someone prefers staying off-site or only in values, then it probably isn't a good fit. Or if someone only goes to Disney every 3 or 4 years, they might see some savings, but only over the entire 45+ years of ownership.
