Cast of Characters
Tom, 29, hates to admit that he is a kid at heart!
Tam, 28, (me) LOVES everything Disney, cant get enough
Mike, 10, Loves the fact that according to Disney he is an adult.
Abby, 7, Loves the fact she is going to Disney for the first time, but hates the
fact that her brother is coming!
So I have to work for a few hours tonight, but only 5, we leave at 9pm!
We are driving from Pennsylvania to Orlando! oh a mere 1000+ miles with two children and a mighty full van.
By 11:30 we had to stop to pee, not the kids but the adults!
By 12am we had to stop again to re-set up the kids sleeping areas!
NOTE: More Room, Less Stuff for next time.
Oh my gosh, its 12:23am the kids are up and so is all of Washington/Baltimore, and they just happen to be on I-95 too! After a few minutes we see a construction sign too.
Who said driving at night would make sure we didnt see less traffic! (oops me)
Around 1am the kids decided to go to sleep!
By the way by this point Tom and I have switched driving very three hours! If we try we can make it every 3 and a half! So much for commando driving!
By 5am the kids decided it was time to wake up! So we had a potty stop.
LOL by 5:10 we stopped for gas! Ok enough already I am ready to go to Disney World!
Ayecarumba! its 6:40am and we are at the south of the border! My thoughts at this hour are
Stinky, Dirty, and closed! But we did the tourist thing and took some pictures!
Holy Moses we are all hungry for food, not pop tarts, so a stop at Burger King and to get gas is required and we are a mere 63 miles from Georgia! We got back on the road by 9:35 am
Thank goodness its 3pm, and we are at the Super 8 on Irlo Bronson Highway? Not bad and close to the world!
We grabbed a pizza at the Pizza hut (cheap) and decided to go shopping at Down Town Disney for just a few hours! Who needs sleep? By 6pm it started to downpour! At first I was like come on why is it raining, then I saw this fountain thing in the ground that was shooting up water, and since we are already wet from running around DTD, I decided to go in and jump around, the kids joined in and Tom said the people around us called us odd-birds. But I didnt want the rain to make me grumpy so I acted like a dope!
Afterwards we went back to the hotel to dry our clothes and get some well deserved sleep! WE MADE IT TO ORLANDO! After a mere 18 hours! Woooo Hoooo, its almost real!
