This will be my fourth stay at the VGC, but my family has stayed at the GCH twice a year for the last five years. So buying into VGC made perfect sense! I just love the Villas. They a roomy and beautifully designed. I like that there two bathrooms in the one bedroom and the Murphy bed in the living room. I usually ask for a room above the fourth floor and either get a park view or a pool view. The park view rooms are literally a stone's throw away to DCA. From the pool view room, you can watch DL's fireworks. Either side is just fine with me. I have stayed in a one bedroom on opening day last year a posted some pictures from the park side room my DH and I stayed in. Here is the link of the pictures I posted: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2071616&page=85 look at post #1272 There are more that others have posted. Just poke around the thread to find them.
You can imagine why I feel such relief of the cares of my life when I go to my DVC home at the GCH.
We are so in need of another trip to release our stress. But our financial circumstances do not allow us to take a trip this winter. Hopefully things will look up next year.
I so agree with your post. I've been questioned a few times as to why I would ever buy into DVC since I live only 2 hours from WDW. Well, taking off every few months for a 3 or 4 days trip to WDW when my son's school schedule allows refreshes us both. It's nice to have something to look forward to and to know it's paid for already!
