The Jan/Feb/Mar 2007 Pirate & Princess Party thread!

It's looking more and more like I will be at the 2/23 date! My brother turns 24 on Valentine's Day, so DH and I are thinking of getting him a ticket as a surprise birthday gift (we live about 40 minutes north of WDW, so there won't be any travel involved in this surprise). He has no clue. He isn't all that big into Disney, but he loves all things pirate and hasn't been to MK in years, so I know he'll have fun.

DH has the perfect t-shirt to wear! He got it on our last cruise while in St. Thomas. It's black with white lettering and has a skull and crossbones on it with text underneath that says "Hi. My name is Roger and I'll be flogging you today."

Add me to March 8th. We have four adults (2 couples) in our party and we're all dressing up as pirates. My fiance and I are dressing up in full pirate costumes. We also ordered the medallions from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. They are really cool!

We are looking forward to this event. Our whole family will be attending. Does anyone know if they will be letting ticket holders in early (like they do for MNSNHP + MVMCP)?

For the other events you can sometimes get in as early as 4:00-4:30 and get your wristband then.

UPDATE: I just called and got the information I needed. If you have reservations at LTT or Tony's you may enter the park early and remain for the party, if not you must wait until 7:30 PM to enter.

I made an ADR today for LTT at 4:10 on 1/29 - DNeph and I are making a last minute trip and decided to include the party. I asked CM if he could get into the park early for the dining reservation with just his party ticket (I have an AP)- she said 'no' - I told her we were always able to do this for every other hard ticket party. She told me she would check with her supervisor, was gone off the line for quite a while, came back and said she checked with 'everyone' above her and they all confirmed that for this 'new' party night no one would be allowed early entry and he would need a park ticket in order to enter for dinner. We will try entry at 4:00 and, if they deny us, we'll take a ride over to Poly or CR for a bite to eat and return for the party - we're really hoping they'll let us in so we can eat at LTT. I'm sure some of the early party=goers will let us know!

Hmmm, I suspect that if they don't allow early entry LTT, Tony's and CP will be empty between 5:00 and 7:30.

They told me they would let people enter starting at 4:30 if you had a reservation at Tony's or LTT!

I ordered our tickets 2 days ago(Jan 8) and I asked specifically if we were in the park did we have to go to Guest Services to get an wrist band for the party so we didn't have to leave, and the CM said no, you will just have to show your ticket. He also gave us a tip, that if we weren't planning on being in MK or any park that day to just wait and come to MK at 4:30. That's when they are allowing the P & P tickets in, so you don't have to use a whole day ticket. I figure we'll sleep in that day since it will be a late night, and maybe just hang around the pool til it's time to get ready to go.

Yeah when I bought our tickets they marketed the dinner a LTT as part of the party experience and if they don't let me in for my 5PM dinner ressie there will be an issue! LOL

I am not worried at all about getting in for the ressie and early for the party.

I just called disney dinning and was told that if we have P&P tickets and have a res. at LTT we would not have to use a regular ticket. Our res. is at 5:00. Maybe the res. has to be after 4:30? Just a guess. This is the second CM that has told me this.

Well, different CM's giving different info... I guess only time will tell now! I hope everyone going to those first parties has a smooth entrance in, however you decide to do it!

I just called back to see what they said, and I got another answer. The CM said that they will probably do like they do with the MNSSHP and the Christmas party(sorry can't remember the letters). They normally let everyone in at 4:30 pm who hold a ticket for the event, and they'll most likely be doing the same with this event. There is nothing on the screen when they book this for you to give you definite instructions. They are just going by events booked in the past. Just thought you'd like to know. I guess we'll have to wait til the first few groups go and see when they report back.

So glad I found this thread! We leave on Saturday for 2 weeks in the world- and we're planning on going the 22nd! My kids are so excited! i figure they can wear their favorite pirate t-shirts, plus I got them some cool red skull and crssbones bandanas to give them that night- so if they feel too "cool" to dress up,they'll still be all piratey! The bandanas are so cool,and cost .98 at walmart!
We're planning on attempting to eat cs at one of the monorail hotels, then try to head over earlier than the 7;30 time with just our p an p tix- if they don't let us in, there's always plenty to do at one of the hotels to keep us busy for a while.....
We also plan to take a pool day that day, the do the night party,then take it slow the next day..... I'm so excited!

I am really looking forward to hearing from the first group of people to attend this party! We are going on Feb. 1st. The main things I want to know about are - special pins and merchandise, what rides and attractions are open and how crowded is it? I am hoping only those with a "hard" ticket are at the event as well. Please let us know Jan. 22 partygoers! Thanks!

we are going 2/5 and I can't wait we have never been to one of the "parties" before. DS4 will be captain hook although I think he looks more like a prince in the costume with his blonde hair and blue eyes and the fact he refuses to wear his pirates hat my mom bought him that cost a arm and a leg.

our are black and white tickets with different scenes of the characters in color one is Tink flying and she is in color and the rest is black and white the others are 3 characters riding the tea cups and only the characters are colored then we got another one can't remember what was on it sorre

We're going Feb. 15, it's finally getting closer.
Anyone know how busy are these after hours parties?
My twin 7 year old girls who I had planned on being princesses all of a sudden don't want anything at all to do with princess stuff and would rather be pirates! and I was so excited about surprising them with lunch in the castle.

Oh well I'll enjoy it!

I just changed my ADR to Crystal Palace for 4:55 p.m. 2/23. Any advise on what time I should arrive at park. This is our first special event and I am not sure how crowded the entrance will be at 4:30.
