Okay so I think we left at EE. I was getting hungry even though it was on the early side, just after 10:30am. But another reason it is great to go alone, you can eat whenever *you* are hungry without concern for anyone else!

So last trip I really, really wanted to try the Yak and Yeti Counter Service. However Belle and her tweenie attitude squashed that one when she rallied the troops against me in favor of pizza. Well this time there would be no pizza at AK. Yak and Yeti CS it would be!

There was no line and I might have been one of the first customers for all I know. It was not busy at all. I ordered and had my food in minutes. When I say it was hot and fresh, I mean it was HOT and FRESH. I personally loved it. I would eat here again quite happily. I found a nice table and ate and people watched.

I had the Honey Chicken (8.99), Mango Pie (3.59) and a Coke (2.09). Total with tax came to 15.63 but worth it.

There were quite a few ducks around as I was eating. They are so bold here, I remember them from last time at Flame Tree. People across the way were feeding them (bad, bad people) so they pretty much stayed away. I ate and enjoyed my lunch thoroughly.

I wandered around a little before and after lunch I recall, just doing some picture taking. I'll share a few with you.

This next one I took specifically to post over on the thread where people try to see if they have a picture no one else does. Would anyone else really take a picture of a brick?

My memory is hazy as to what order things happened in for the afternoon. I know I walked around a bit. It was quite hot and humid but who was I to complain, at least it wasn't raining (yet, little foreshadowing here). I remember getting down towards the Safari and the line was longer than I was interested in. So I skipped it. I've seen it a few times before and while I always do enjoy it, I just didn't feel like it this time around. I did however feel like taking the Panganini/Pangani (however you spell it) Trail because I had never done that one before. So off I went, in search of tigers!

But before I got there I ran into this

I love when I get to see Devine. How unique she is! She is beautiful and yet creepy and mysterious sort of all in one. Almost as much as I enjoy watching her is watching other people watch her. Especially if you can tell it is their first time. And not just children. You can see adults with the wheels spinning in their head as to "what is she?". I saw some Austrailian young adults see her and one girl was like "That tree, she has a face!" and the genuine look of amazement on her face was just so cool!

So next up my walk on the trail followed by the show I had not yet seen! Coming soon, really!

Is the outdoor seating area for the Yak and Yeti CS shaded at all? I always have a hard time figuring out where to eat CS-wise at Animal Kingdom. Your lunch looks yummy!

Your detail shots are just awesome! I think I have said it before, but I just love the theming of AK!

Great update. And yeah for no rain (so far). I've only been to AK once or twice and I don't think I saw any of the interesting things you've pictured. I'm looking forward to slowing down and taking it all in next trip!

I loved Y and Y CS last time we went. We also had the honey chicken and it was so good! I wish I had know how much food they gave you, DH and I would have split one. We had tons left over!

Enjoying your updates - you're making me long for another solo!!! Just 32 more sleeps until my b-day trip with my D-Sis, so should be close to a solo as we're pretty similar in routines and what we like to do!

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the CS at Yak and Yeti. We actually have ADRs for the TS in October, but hopefully the food will be the same. How did you like the Mango pie? We're still trying to decide what DH should have for dessert since he can't have what he really wanted (the brownie sundae) because it has nuts in it.
