The Infant is running this PTR - Completed

BOG update!!

I signed up for one of those Disney ADR sites that text or email you when a reservation is available. My phone was blowing up at 4am!!!

I got dinner for the 3rd! I am so excited as this is what I really wanted! I am going to drop the lunch reservations and the breakfast on the 4th but I'm going to hang on to the breakfast on the 5th as now the early entry seems like a great idea since I can get my CUPCAKE of grey stuff on the 3rd!pixiedust::banana::cool1:

What?! I've never heard of these ADR sites! That sounds so cool!! And you are so right. People who've never planned Disney just don't get it. :sad2:

Yay for BOTH Be Our Guest breakfast AND dinner! How fun will that be?!! You'll get to try out two different rooms in one trip! The reviews coming out on breakfast look so yummy and that pre-park opening can't be beat! You'll be right there in Fantasyland at rope drop! :cool1:

One little bit of sad news though... the Masters (grey stuff) Cupcake is only served at lunch!! I wonder if you can still go in there and get a cupcake to go? Or did that change when they switched to the ADRs for lunch?

I know it cost $8 but for BOG I sucked it up. But for me it wouldn't be worth it for lots of reservations to much money!

No grey stuff cupcake at dinner ! But they have grey stuff on the menu, just not a cupcake so I'll be ok!!! I almost freaked out!!!!

I decided on no HS this trip :(. It was a hard call but with only 3 park days I didn't want to over book us. Originally I had HS instead of AK but that's May 4th and someone on the board pointed out May the 4th be with you and I decdied to try AK as we have never been, I really was torn!! We do watch a little Disney Jr but I'm not sure she is to into Doc, Jake or Sofia YET. I'm def planning on this and H&V for our next trip (hopefully April 2016!)! However I'm not totally ruling out this park as we do have Hoppers!!

I'm planning a lunch at H&V next time we go as a big family (hopefully January, 2016). I totally recommend not over-booking. There are so many things to do, you're not going to get bored. And going from ADR to ADR and ride to ride can be stressful. By far, the worst trip I had to WDW was one where I'd booked too many character meals. We were all exhausted and cranky by the end and I had no desire to go back any time soon. I obviously got over that one, but I definitely learned my lesson. :)

May 6th - Departure day :(

We have a 1:30pm flight (the time has been changed like 10 times) So if i am doing my math correctly i should expect a DME pick up at 10:30. So i currently have a 8:25 reservation at 1900 Park Fare. I figure we can be done by 9:30 (I know we may not get to see all the charters but I want to be back at the hotel by 10ish.) This may be tight, if I am feeling stressed out about it I will just cancel the day before :sad1:

This is a depressing update to write...Its really short AND I am planning the departure day before the trip even starts!

:stir: <--- me cooking up a way to tell my husband I already have a trip for 2016 planned.....and I want to upgrade to AP when we are down since its less then a year after this trip

:wave2:Hi there! Joining in! Love the plans looks like you have them mostly under control!

I will figure out how to link my posts..... at somepoint....
It looks like from your signature you have figured it out, but in case you haven't : If you look at the top of the reply box where the different buttons are (Where you can bold or change fonts) You will see a link of chain. (It should be the 7th button) It then acts like it did on the old site. click the link button paste the link you want and click okay and you now have a link.

I have never been to AK before so I am excited to check out this park. However if we aren’t feeling it we may just stick around the resort and relax by the pool which would also be amazing.
At least get over there for the Safari. Its one of those special things you will only find at Disney.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! :welcome:Thanks on the linking, I figured it out for my signature but haven't tried it yet for chapter links, or next post links, i need to get on that!

I really want to check out the Safari, but i just read that its a half hour bus ride to AK from the Contemporary....I am going to leave out that information when we make the final call... I have a feeling the group would vote Epcot or MK before AK... but I really want to check it out, and am dying to try the Safari!

Following along!! It sounds like you have such a fun trip planned!! You are so lucky to have gotten BOG for dinner. We could only get in for lunch when we went - but lunch was good too. You are making me want to go back and check out the breakfast menu to see what they have. I've never heard of those ADR sites either...trust the people around here to take planning to a whole new level lol...I totally "get it" but...not sure the rest of my family would lol

Welcome! :wave2:, happy to have you! The rest of my family does not get it, my husband thinks I am nuts, and everyone else has ZERO idea how much I am putting in to this! I think it takes a bit of a unique personality to plan like this!

Under 4 weeks to go! My Magic bands have shipped! I am so excited about this my first Magic Band! In 2012 we stayed at the GF and they didn't have them, and in 2013 we stayed at the Swan and Dolphin and they weren't getting them there yet, so I can't wait for them to get here!

My trip 'job' for the next week or so is to make a shopping list for my Dad so he can bring us some items. Mostly Diapers, waters, some snacks (he has in his house wipes and her food), I know I am going to forget things so if you think of something let me know!

I also need to try on all of my summer clothes, I doubt most will fit so I have a feeling I am going to need to do some shopping... I am not really as upset about this as I want you to believe. But I do hate cleaning my drawers/closet which is what I am going to do if I am trying everything on anyway!

Hope everyone has a Happy Easter or Passover if you celebrate!:flower1:

I like the way you think!! ;)

1900 Park Fare sounds like a wonderful departure day plan! I totally forgot where you said you were staying but if its not the GF you might want to think about getting a cab from the GF back to your resort. We had a nightmarish situation with the MK buses (we waited over an hour and a half!!) which resulted in missing our Magical Express.

Your trip is so close now! Happy Easter/Passover to you too!

We are staying at the contemporary so I'm really hoping the trip wouldn't take that long to get back. Worst case we would need to take the boat to the MK and walk if the monorail is down.

I'm in count down mode, this week will be crazy busy at work so hopefully that will make time go fast!

I think your plan is sound. By then, you'll definitely know whether you want to fit in that last ADR or just get something at CR. As to the bolded, my husband has pretty much given up when it comes to Disney. I'm planning to upgrade my park ticket to an AP when we're there in August so I can get the TIW card. Are you on the dining plan? I can't recall. If not, it might be worth it to upgrade when you get there and get the TIW card. Because we have another trip planned for late January 2016, we'll make back the cost of the TIW card during that August trip. I'm hoping there might be a decent AP rate coming out for January, too. With the kids, we'll be getting tickets through the YES program, so APs won't make sense for them. I love all the planning required. My husband just nods his head and says he's glad I keep track of it all.

At that age, my daughter really liked those fruit pouches. They were pricy, but for traveling, they were the easiest things in the world for her to eat. She still loves them - I plan to bring some for the trip there and back. And I completely hear you on the clothes shopping. I started to go through my wardrobe last night and any winter stuff I didn't wear has been tossed in the pile for goodwill. I haven't really hit the summer stuff yet. The high today was 72. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 40s. Spring in PA is annoying...

I had my dad get a bunch of those pouches they were on sale last week 12 for $15 I think so he picked up 12 plus I will bring one or two for the flight down. DD just started eating off my plate a bit so I'm also excited to let her try some new things at Disney! I'm not on the dinning plan but don't really know much about the TIW card, to get it I would need to upgrade the first day right? the plan was to talk him into it by the last day :ssst:.

I do have a Disney Visa so I know I get 10% off using that (at some places). I'm going to research the TIW card and see if it's worth adjusting my plan!

I need to start going through all my drawers, summer clothes plas just ones that don't fit/i don't wear, but this week work is crazy busy and I have a little cold and such a busy weekend planed, I swear I don't know how people fit it all in.

Have a great day!

Girl I know the feeling!!! I hate dealing with laundry as well. It sometimes seems like its all I do.

I'm testing posting a photo from my phone, mostly because guess what came last night MAGIC BANDS!
Exciting stuff! I got the email this morning that ours have shipped!

Yep - you have to have the AP to buy the TIW card. I have five-day passes I plan to upgrade (for the kids, I'm just adding the PH option). Mine will become an AP and I'll buy the TIW at the same time. It gives you 20% off food and drinks (including alcohol) at most table service restaurants. There are a few exclusions. I know V&A is no longer included. I did the same thing a few years ago when we had a bunch of friends and family in WDW over Thanksgiving. We easily made back the cost of the TIW card with one meal at Jiko (I think we were a party of 15, or something like that). It won't take more than a few meals this trip to make that back (I think it's still $100) just because the price of food there has gotten out of hand. It would really help you with character meals because those get pricy fast.

So I have been trying to make family time involve less technology. Limited phones, computers and TV. To accomplish this I've started catching up on DIS on my commute I take the train to the ferry, but as a result it's harder to update my PTR...

First a big thank you too @Gracefulskinny for the myfantasybands website! My dad opted for a grey band and was regretting it so I just ordered him a decal! I hope he likes it.

@tarak i guess I better start working on the AP idea if I want TIW card.... Its a possibility... I have to see if I can have him convinced by arrival for it to pay off.

17 days to go!!! I've started to 'pack' and by that I mean only in my head! If I pack now I'll repack every day till the trip. However I will start laying out some items this weekend and pulling out anything I purchased for the trip, as well as make any final purchases.

I am super busy till we leave so I'm hoping it makes the time go fast!!!

Have a great day everyone!

:scared: <---- excuse any typos this update was done on my iPhone

Yay for Magic Bands!! ...and 17 days?! **Eeep!!* So exciting! I have been telling myself the same thing about tech... trying to detach when we're all home together especially. Its harder than I thought!

I totally hear ya on packing. I have to hold off when we have a big trip too otherwise I obsess and i'll pack and repack 12 million times before we actually leave! Good luck! Lol!

17 DAYS!!!! :D

It's really hard to detach, especially from my phone if I get a work email and I don't reply right away I stress out. My husband is very similar but we don't want DD to see us on the phone so much. So I've been trying to limited it as much as I can. Especially during the week since by the time we get home the amount of time we have is so limited.

The packing repacking routine happens no matter when I start! But the later the less times it happens.

16 days! I am so excited!
